@@brunaciompi1717 Winning the CL is always a great achievement, but it doesn't necessarily define whether a player is a great player. The best version of Owen was at Liverpool, where he won several trophies. I think Owen was one of the most lethal players in the history of football.

He was as fast as you'd get, rapid is an understatement. Turned out to be his achilles heel in the end tearing his hamstrings. When he started playing, was very exciting being as Liverpool fan, was wandering where the fuck this guy appeared from, just started from game one rinsing players and scoring goals for a laugh. Good player Owen was.
For me, he was more of an Aguero-type of player.

Speed, dribbling, shooting skills, courage, tenacity, decent heading...at Liverpool he was one of the best strikers in the world. He suffered a few injuries and never really recovered from those. I'd have the Liverpool Owen anytime in my ideal squad, next to Ronaldo the Phenomenon, R9.

Great goals aside the thing about Owen was he was that rare player you get,the higher the level,the bigger the game,the more he’d make that difference.Some players will have put in a great performance in a big match and it’ll be a one off,but some players you know are pretty much certain to step up and do something important in your big games.Marcel Desailly for example,would step up a couple of levels in really big games.Owen would do that

And yet Sven pulled Owen- England's only goal-scorer on the field- against Brazil in a WC in favor of an over-the-hill poacher in Sheringham despite having Fowler as an option. To this day one of the strongest arguments for high-level match fixing I've seen in my lifetime.
