The speaker spacers were made by me out of plywood. I used the factory speaker as a reference. There might be some plastic spacers out there from companies like Metra, Best Kits, Scosche, and possibly others or you may be able to cut out the center of the factory speaker and use it as an adaptor/spacer. While not done in this install if you make a spacer/adaptor out of wood, totally paint it to help it last longer.
I did not replace the dash speakers and did not even look as to how the grills are attached. Maybe some AMG forums could be of some help or a factory shop manual.
Was that wooden bracket added to your speakers or already there? If it was added did you build that or purchased (where?)?
