I'm a little late commenting on this video, but I just got the figure myself yesterday and I have to say your review is spot on. Probably the best Batman figure ever at any scale, IMO. Except, as you said, the gray could be a shade or two darker. As it is it almost reads closer to white than gray. However it does look a little better in person. Don't know why McFarlane chose to make the gray on this particular figure so light compared to all the others in this line. Especially since I can't find a single reference in the comics or animation of it being that light of a shade. It's a shame that it seems they corrected the issue on the SDCC exclusive figure, which will be all but impossible to obtain for most people. Anyway, awesome review as always.

I wish I had the budget for also three Knighfalls (McFarlane happily and sadly has a darker gray, darker blue Knighfall out now but it's sadly limited edition to San Diego Comic Con which'll make it more than 3x expensive), so I can always keep one sealed and in mint conditon (sealed in a water-proof bin, as a kind of investment for future generation if it's goes up in price after 20 to 30 years X-D) I wish McFarlane toys had Mafex's interchangeable heads and hands, NECA's real cloth (but not matte and porous which looks cheap like in the NECA's Hush) and NECA's generous weapon accessories but at McFarlane (DC Direct, DC Essentials, DC Collectibles from McFarlane Toys contractor Warner Brothers), they deserve that DC McFarlane being the father and pioneer of detailed action figures w/ more articulation) prices or better yet at Hasbro, Mattel kiddie prices (which is still actually expensive for kids) best still at Hasbro prices to McFarlane prices but with tier S quality listed here in my comment here: ua-cam.com/video/8ZNSCjC5PgQ/v-deo.html Blonde Bruce looks like Plastic Man with the neck and small head at 10:47:-) God bless.

Hunter were you able to purchase the Gold Label 2pk 89’ Batman/Batmobile?? This is such a great figure and fits along with the MegaFig Bane, but the DC Essentials Knightfall Batman (color scheme) is still my favorite, seems more comic accurate. cool story and review of the figure @dH, I haven't secured this figure still out of stock..but it does look like the best McF Bats to date...I like the Hush but it feels too big besides the other figs...

Awesome review as always Bro, but I gotta respectfully disagree on the scale issue. A 6’2” man (adding an inch or two for boots and armored cowl since he’s not naked) in 1:10 scale is about 7.4”. Yknow, the height of Hush Batman exactly. Knightfall Batman is very undersized, he’s barely bigger than Catwoman. Azrael & Catwoman scale *perfectly* together, Batman’s the newcomer he should be conforming to them. I’ll never understand why everyone says Hush Batman is *way* too tall, frankly that’s closer to what should be the height of all Bruce Waynes imo and all Supermans. If they were, 90% of the scale issues in the line would disappear. It’s only the short Batmans and Supermans that gum up the works. That Robin body is as tall as the Kent body and every other teenage character, he’s not special or abnormally tall. You can argue he should be shorter, and maybe that’s true, but the real question is why is Knightfall Batman barely taller than every teenager in the line. Robin is just a smidge above knightfall Catwoman as he should be. The only issue is Batman. He’s simply undersized, there’s *no* way to play it off imo. I can only speak for myself, but I put Hush Batman next to Knightfall Azrael and Catwoman and that looks way more right to me than Knightfall Batman. Nothing’s perfect of course but this is way off. Even looking through the comparisons he only fits in with the shortest Batmans that are all underscaled like White Knight, Rebirth & DKR. It’s as if people forget Batman is supposed to be a huge intimidating dude that towers over most of his Villains and not like a regular guy in spandex. The answer isn’t scale every other character around him down, it’s scale the one person that’s the problem up. Otherwise I totally agree he’s basically a perfect figure, which is what makes it frustrating lol

Nice review and custom - I wonder if Todd will release an official JPV in the original bat suit with correctly coloured gauntlets. Would be a pretty easy re-release with little tooling involved
McFarlane just announced a 30th anniversary knightfall Batman boxed figure today and the grey is darker but has black shading on his trunks and cowl. Hopefully parts swapping will be easy
I wanted one but it’s sold out. I hate stuff being preordered on the internet. I miss the 90s when there was no internet to buy stuff on. I like the bat symbol in yellow oval. I want blue suited batman. Hopefully, I’ll find him for not scalper price.

Why is it so hard for these toy companies to get scale right colors right etc? It literally costs them nothing to get these things right. Not to mention having less quantities or making stuff limited. This Batman is a huge improvement over that Hush body. I hated how low the shoulders sat on hush and it’s overall massive size
