    Ordination of women in the SDA church is a contested issue that will be addressed in the next SDA General Conference Session. Doug Batchelor is clearly in the camp that ordination of women does not conform with Biblical principals and it defies the history of principals that the SDA church was founded upon.

    We need to adhere to the unity that the apostles set. They are our elders. We have to obey our elders. Our culture changes but God and his church does not. If we can make excuses for one scripture then we have permission to make excuses for all of them. Do not be conformed to the pattern of this world!,!! We cannot make Gods word out to be subject to interpretation. It is not!!! We need to obey every word!! It has no holes!! I am a women and I would rather prophecy anyway!!! It's way better than ordination or teaching!! We avoid all the responsibility and we get all the cool jobs like prophecy, intercessory, and prayers of healing! We can do so much more without having to have our heads on the responsibility chopping block!! Like James says it is better for you not to teach!!! I would rather be submissive and not have to worry! If a man treats me in any way other than the way Christ treated the church then he is sinning and will come under the discipline of God! God lets us have all choice! All freedom! But we all have to be responsible for our choices! A true relationship is one where the man does not delig in his authority as to stir up annoyance but delights only in his name being written in the lambs book of life! Jesus commanded them to behave like Jesus did and Christ did not even let his church wash his feet! He served and served and gave his life for the church, relax women! God is on our side! Pray like the parable of the persisten widow for justice in your relationships and your church and it will come! God does not approve of us having to be treated like a child or a slave! We are free indeed! We have the easy part and without all the responsibility!

    Second I send you a compete French translate .sub file allows you to add it to your video with the current youtube subtitle tools, right ?

    Jeremiah 44:15-30
    King James Version
    15 Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,
    16 As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the Lord, we will not hearken unto thee.
    17 But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.
    18 But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.
    19 And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?
    20 Then Jeremiah said unto all the people, to the men, and to the women, and to all the people which had given him that answer, saying,
    21 The incense that ye burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, ye, and your fathers, your kings, and your princes, and the people of the land, did not the Lord remember them, and came it not into his mind?
    22 So that the Lord could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day.

The question that needs to be answered is can women be disciples? If the answer is yes then they are commanded to go and preach, teach and baptize. This is a command from Christ.

    I am a sincere supporter of Pastor Batchelor. I I find that his messages are a true blessing. However,
    I earnestly question this message regarding women and ordination. With regard to the women in the Bible times, it should be considered, I believe, that women were mainly caregivers and homemakers. they were not even given the opportunity to be educated, let alone go to university or earn a degree in anything, Does not the fact that there were Prophetesses, sincere, divinely inspired, gifted female leaders in the Bible prove that God really had no problem with women leading out and ministering as
    divinely ordained leaders? Many things were not suggested or required by God at specific periods, not because He was against that specific thing, but because of the state His people were in and things that were deeply ingrained in them, ex. multiple wives. Many divinely inspired leaders had several wives, yet God used them in very special ways to minister to and lead His people. One might determine that this proves that He condoned or accepted multiple wives, which is not at all true.
    Should it not be considered that, since many things have changed since Bible times, women are highly
    educated, some men are not qualified or interested in ministry or leadership, many women are obviously divinely inspired and gifted in minstry? In addition, in many countries, our men of ministry have been persecuted and jailed, leaving flocks without spiritual leaders. Their churches continue
    to thrive, even under cover, because some strong and divinely inspired women took over and is ministering to their flocks. It seems that the very fact that the prophetesses and and these women
    have successfully ministered for the Lord, winning and leading souls to Jesus, is evidence that God has ordained them. I look forward to your response. Thank you.

      This is the arguement, times have changed.... God's instructions have not changed. The real question is... how many of our decisions are culturally changed because of change and how much is based on discovery of Bible truth. Eg 7th day Sabbath.
      When speaking of being ordained specifically it is talking about being put into a certain office in the church as a pastor or elder. This does not mean that women cannot be chosen to do important things in the church

    Its crazy to me that a church that was co founded by a woman. A woman who SDA's quote as having the spirit of prophecy. They hold her writings almost equal ot even equal to the writers of the Bible.
    But now we can decide if women can be leaders in the church or even teach in the church?
    So Biblically, you believe that women are NOT to be ordained as Elders, Pastors, or Deacons but you beileve they can braid thier hair, preach and not cover their hair?

    After the flood, Christ promised God the Father, Christ will work with man, He searched Noah's generation, until Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob came forth. Abraham had consecutive wives and children, Isaac had one wife, Jacob had four, Judah generation was through his sons wife and him. During this period salvation was thru families. Abraham family, Isaac's family, Jacob family, Israel's family, and it split up. At the death of Christ the covenant was broken. Then paul puts old wine into new bottles.
    that lasts until 1844, prophesied, By Daniel and John. it did not produce any fruits, it was not able to produce fruits, for she was in the wilderness. after 1844 induviduals are chosen and picked one by one, not by families (revelations) by angels at the behest of father and son

    With all due respect Pastor Doug, the differences between men and women are generalizations. I know a number of men that are not cut out for farming or any kind of manual labor, irrespective of their size or build. I also know many women who, even in their 60's and 70's, are tough as nails and could give any man a run for his money. I know several widowed Polish ladies who don't need a man to do repairs around their homes. One of my good Polish friends, a 65 year-old woman, is about 4 1/2 feet tall and 80 pounds soaking wet is tough as nails. She renovated her house with no help. This included several toilets that she replaced, even lugged both toilets to the curb without any help. Many women I know can and do defend themselves without pushing a button or calling 911. I would not want to meet up with my Polish friend in a dark alley. Furthermore, my 90 year-old grandmother shovels snow, mows her grass, and still lives independently.
    Your story about wearing your wife's jeans is just simply irrational. Were you really afraid that accidentally wearing her jeans was an abomination? Really? It's a pair of jeans, not her underwear. Since many styles are now becoming "unisex" anyway, what would it matter--especially if it were a mistake? I don't believe our salvation is going to be swayed by wearing a pair of pants tagged for the opposite gender. I can't help but wonder if such hype is designed to cause naïve people to become fearful. Just sayin'.

    • @readingwithmatthew5482
      @readingwithmatthew5482 9 років тому +8

      Your comment is a generalisation as well. Just cos you know a few women who can do things that man can does not change the roles assigned to man by God.

    • @lbliss234
      @lbliss234 9 років тому +1

      If that were the case then any statement could be considered a generalization. I know a lot of women who can (and do) do things that men do. I know a lot of men that are better at cooking, housekeeping, and are more nurturing or motherly and no, they are not gay. I know women that have to take the *male* leadership (even spiritually) role in their homes because their husbands fall short in this department. Men and women are different but more specifically, people are different. Cultural norms differ. I find the good pastors desperate attempts to prove the differences in gender to be arbitrary. Maybe he needs to go back to his cave. I've seen pictures of his family, there's no way he could mistake his wives jeans for his own. Just as I would never be able to mistake my husbands jeans for mine. I have a hard time believing this man was afraid to become an abomination for supposedly wearing ("accidentally") her jeans. For that matter, maybe she shouldn't even wear jeans. I believe the good pastor made that story up. What I mean to say is that he lied about that happening.

    • @lbliss234

      What I do notice though is that pastor Doug never mentions the uncomfortable truth that the Adventist church has been ordaining women pastors for many rears. In fact, I was baptized long ago by an ordained female pastor in the seventh Day Adventist Church, and she wasn't an angry lesbian who secretly wanted to be a man. All this gloom and doom about the dangers of ordaining women when we are already doing so. Has it let to ordaining homosexuals or same-sex marriage within the SDA church or polygamy, or illicit affairs, or excessive gossip, or doing away with the footwashing ceremony? The simple answer is NO.

    • @erob0674
      @erob0674 9 років тому +2

      lbliss234 forget how you feel about it personally. What does the bible say pertaining to the issue? Scripture supercedes any personal feelings that you may have. Bachelor can't make it any clearer.. what is so hard to understand about this issue for you? And to the issue of the sda churches already having "ordained" female pastors yes they do because "tradition" & the "ecumenical mind set" is what's slowly taking control of the denomination(as predicted by the bible & and spirit of prophecy).

    • @lbliss234
      @lbliss234 9 років тому +2

      I certainly can forget my personal convictions on this issue because it's not up to me. It's not up to you, the good pastor, or any other person to decide. The way I see it, the Lord's will is what is important here and only His will is what determines the outcome. What I think is irrelevant. But even though I might be young compared to some, I'm pretty sure that women have been serving as pastors for a very, very long time. I can attest to the fact that WO has not become the moral decay of the SDA church. I was baptized by a non-lesbian, non-man hater female pastor back in 1999 so to say that tradition and such is slowly taking over is a little off. From what I understand, women have been pastors in the SDA church for at least 40 years. People like this and others, like that Bore can push their agenda all they want. I still say that DB is using lies to promote his agenda and the bible is a lot more clear about bearing false witness than WO. Like I said, this is not up to any man/human to decide; the Lord's will will be done in this matter.
