The truth is that Otis and Ruby had a lot more chemistry in 5 episodes than Maeve and Otis in 3 seasons. After seeing Rubes and OT, when he hooked up with Maeve it was so boring, now I'm hoping they'll get back to being a couple in season 4
One underrated fact of the last scene is that both Olivia and Anwar go TO HER PLACE TO CONSOLE HER…so she lets them visit her…or they go on their own and she accepts them in. The one good thing out of this really heartbreaking situation….
Thanks to Otis, she opened up to other people. Even if they don't end up together, Otis was a good influence and helped her no me insecure or embarrassed of herself.

Finally someone who get it! In all seriousness tho Otis did do the right thing, if he had chose to lie there was a risk of her getting even more hurt than she did. At the time he still had feelings for Maeve and didn’t want to commit to a relationship with Ruby if there was even the slightest chance of anything happening between him and Maeve, but now that she’s gone to America and we’ve got no confirmation she’s going to be back by the time the events of season 4 happen, I wouldn’t imagine so because the seasons only take place a few months apart max. The gap between seasons 1 and 2 I would estimate was barely even a month if that so I doubt Maeve will have finished whatever she’s doing in America in less than a month. So hopefully she either doesn’t return to get in the way of the perfect relationship again, or she does return but ends up getting back with Isaac or even Aimee I’ve seen a lot of people ship her with, just anyone other than Otis so we can get more scenes of these 2 together.

What he said to her later would have been better than "That's Nice." She would have been hurt a bit, but I don't think she would have been ready to call it quits. I think Otis could have convinced her that his love for her could grow. Even if he was still hung up on Maeve, he cared deeply for Ruby. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been going through all those changes to please her. In essence, I feel like Otis could have handled the situation better, and been a bit more caring about Ruby's feelings. Alas, it wasn't meant to be. He ended up breaking Ruby's heart during that phone call and again in France. Sad.
@@mlr0115 yeah I suppose he could have handled it a lot better than he did, but again with Maeve out of the picture and a few small hints I spotted throughout season 3 there is definitely still a chance for them to get back together. A lot of people seem to think that their romance was fake because they claim she was just a sort of placeholder for Maeve, but when Otis and Ruby were dating he was under the impression that Maeve had heard his message and just ignored it because she didn’t feel the same, so everything that happened between him and Ruby was because he had genuine feelings for her.
Was waiting for this song edit because it make so much sense he’s not over Maeve but you see how Ruby got comfortable to open up to him knowing she wouldn’t get judge changing how she is with him publicly and see how she doesn’t care she shows how she really is she opened up and Otis was a dick for hurting her.
I loved her in season 3…strong caring girl, supporting her father in a real difficult time. She was ready to change into a better person and Otis messed up….you better love her back in season 4…;)

Feel like they are hence why they fed the Motis crowd while also ending it with the build up of her moving to America. Otis and Maeve didn't make things official within their relationship and she left. Long distance never works and I feel since Maeve will be out of the picture we'll see Otis start to fall for Ruby to which we may see him try to win her back. Many people will not like this but it'd make sense. Life goes on and you can't just wait forever for someone that, lets be real, leads you on. Otis needs someone that will be there for him and that person is Ruby.
