My rottie showed signs of resource guarding at 9 weeks, me and my husband try to densensitize him everyday with this by saying mine, taking it and giving it back or swapping for something else. He's 8 months old now and we will probably continue doing this everyday for a long long time to come. Before he used to run with an item twice he growled once at 9 weeks and once at about 5 months old. We desensitised him to us coming over to him when he has a 'precious' item and that word now let's him know we are taking it, but he gets it back. Is there anything more we can do? I don't find him problematic but I would like to know what we are doing is the right thing..
