Hi! I'm 41 years old and also a V.A. I love how simple your life is. Not pretentious, just straight to the point. 😉. Planning to get my place also and hopefully experience the same vibe as yours when you sleep as I also easily get cold and love nature's smell 😁. I'm planning to settle down in the province but still be accessible to the city. I'm starting to get my self on the right track. I also love video editing and i also do photo editing before. Unfortunately, I don't have any patience with the video editing and my hand starts to hurt on photo editing as I've been doing it for several years. That's why I only do admin tasks now as a v.a. You're still young so save wisely 😉
Thank you for the kind words! 💗 I try to keep everything as realistic as possible because I love when creators show things I can relate to and not just focus on aesthetics. Also, having a place by nature - that’s the absolute dream 🍃 The air in the province hits different too! City air feels so polluted 😅 Best of luck with your goal! You’ll get there someday 💛
it's my firt time to come across your channel. Been researching and reading on how to become a VA. Thank you this very straight-forward, no non-sense video. 💛
Love your accent! Very natural, hindi OA pakinggan..sarap sa tenga..I am a newbie virtual assistant and still looking for clients up until today. WIsh me luck! And if you have some tips there, I would very much appreciate it! Stay safe
Thank you!! ❤️ I’m a full-time VA for my company so I’m technically only dealing with one client. I don’t do freelance VA work so I’m unsure of how to get multiple clients at a time. However, my biggest tip would be to cater your resume & cover letter to the job post. For ex. if you had previous experience as a call center agent, you can indicate that you have cold calling/phone management experience. If you know how to use graphic design tools like Canva, put that as your skills. You don’t necessarily need to have previous VA experience because what most employers are looking for is someone to help them with their admin tasks. The goal is to market yourself to be that person they’re looking for.
@@FrankGixx99Motovlog Around 2-3 months. In those months, I applied to lots of job posts everyday and had to go through lots of unanswered emails. Sometimes there were call backs but ended up not fitting. Until I finally found a good fitting employer/client.
Your diction is sooo nice!!! By the way, I'm also a newly-hired virtual assistant (work-from-home) for a digital marketing company and my first day is on May 16.
I love your very specific compliment 😄❤️ Don’t think I’ve gotten that before! Congratulations on your new job! 🥳 It’s inspiring to know of your career change - shows your courage to take new chances. Best of luck on your first day! 🙏
Hi! I appreciate that your day in a life is so realistic. Thank you for just being yourself in this video. I love love love how you talk! English is so natural for you. I wish I can speak english as confident and as smooth as you. 😊 By the way, i wonder if i can see some of your work in video editing. 😅
Yeah one can easily tell na you specialize in design and graphics nga by the way u did this video. Very entertaining. Galing! Can i just say lang din na ang ganda ng speaking voice mo? Thank u for this ^__^
This was such an insightful look into the life of a VA! 🤩 I loved seeing your setup and equipment, it's so organized and efficient. Thanks for inspiring others who are interested in this career path! 🙌 Do you have any other recommendations for tools or resources for aspiring VAs?
I’m thinking about hiring a VA for my business which is based in the USA. The comments I get from friends/family are that my customers may be turned off being handled by someone outside the country. Based on the people I have seen speaking such as yourself I don’t think this will actually be an issue. I’m also in a major metro area similar to NYC so everyday my customers deal with people from all over the world and many of my customers are from all over as well. Is there any validity to their idea that my customers will be turned off by an international VA? …..love that Ikigi book!
Coming from someone outside of the US, usually they are turned off when the responder is either too thick in accent that its confusing to listen to, or if the VA has little to no proficiency. Other than that, people who excel in english should do just fine.
As a VA, I work for one company based in Asia (not PH). Been with them for 3 years now. As a freelance Video Editor, I only take on one client at a time. More of a contractual basis. For this, it's international content creators/entrepreneurs.
Hi! I actually landed my job from OnlineJobsPH (not affiliated or sponsored). I know other people have had negative experiences from the site but this is just from my personal experience. We need to be extra mindful of scammers and spam posts - there are decent employers out there looking for help.
Hi thanks for subbing! 💗 I started as a newbie during the pandemic. I was a 3rd-year college student stuck in lockdown. I didn't get to intern because of the pandemic so I was itching for something to do (bonus points: anything to help build my resume before graduating!) I started out with video editing. This was a self-taught skill that I kept practicing at since high school. My first client was very low paying but I just wanted the experience. Then I started applying for graphic design jobs (again no experience but I created a portfolio out of past projects I made from school/student org) which eventually landed me my job now. Starting out as a newbie, my biggest tip is to create a portfolio to showcase your work. If you're an aspiring video editor, make sample edits so clients can see what you're capable of. Same with graphic design - use free tools like Canva to show them your design style. I didn't join any VA bootcamps because I didn't have the budget to join them in the first place. So with any free tools/resources I could find, I tried my best to highlight my talent/skills when applying for VA jobs. Regardless if you have no experience, they may be attracted to what you can bring to the table.
@@isle_lee I really wanted to do vlogging as well so that I could use my editing skills. Just a beginner but I know it'll be a good start. I agree with you! With free resources that you can find, it will be truly helpful! By the way, I'm so in love with Canva. I already created some "cool" designs. Haha Thanks!!!!
