Hey! I absolutely LOVE these types of videos. I live on a pathetic disability income so I can't just run out to the "CONTAINER STORE" or IKEA or whatever anytime I need to organize a workspace or right now, I'm gathering items and THOUGHTS 💭 for my soon to be craft room. Now, I've got sooooo much stuff around this giant house of mine that (give or take) I should be able to do a LOTTTTT with.... I just basically need like 150 different videos like this one to bonk me on the head and say "DUHHHH.... You can totally make that!" lol I make a LOTTTTT of things using GOOD O CARDBOARD! {ESPECIALLY the really good, thick heavy duty kind that appliances or whatever come in} it's amazing what all you can do with cardboard, glue, paint, contact paper and a little bit of imagination! Now, on one of my many trips to the DT a long time ago, I purchased what I THINK are posta be those like 3 tiered white wire step type things that I THINK are posta be used for stacking cans or spices or medicine or whatever in the kitchen. {kinda like the ones you used in this video, except they resemble "STEPS ".... Well, I've YET to find ANYTHING that will sit on them without everything falling all over the place anytime I reach for something. So, there's GOT to be SOME KIND OF HACK to use them for other than their original purpose (that don't work lol). Just curious if you have used these for anything specific.... Now, I've not yet gone back to watch your other videos similar to this one, so you may have already covered it and I'm about to go watch those now, but just in case you HAVEN'T, see if you can figure out SOMETHING I can use these for in my soon to be craft room! I know they were only $1, but I don't get rid of ANYTHING because I KNOWWWW that as soon as I do, SOME IDEA will pop into this #ADHD brain of mine and I'll need one of those wire rack things. Lol. I don't need anything to hang jewelry or anything like that on.. And in my craft room, I am gonna need to be able to SEE the things I have or they won't ever get used! "out of sight out of mind" does NOT work for me! Now, if it's something that I use ALLLLL the time like maybe my craft and chalk paints, they are inside a metal rolling cart thing that has a lid and NORMALLY, that TOTALLY would not work for me.... But since I use it allllllll the time, I automatically know that's where my paints are! Most of my containers are CLEAR so I can see what's inside. Otherwise, they are labeled with those cool little metal pull tab thingys that are on the old timey "card catalogs" from "old school libraries" lol so that I can put a label on it without it looking tacky! But don't THINK that I won't straight up paint a shoe box really keyoot and put one of those labels on it and slide it onto a shelf. I'm extremely organized because of my #ADHD.... Otherwise I'd go "whack a doodle doo"! Lol. OK. Whewwww sorry for the novel 📖. Lol. I just started typing and couldn't stop. Lol. Anyhoo, any help and/or ideas would be GREATLY APPRECIATED! 😘 XO from Texas! 🤠
I just quickly looked over comments and, so far, it looks like craft area has it hands down!!! And I agree! Seriously, as soon as you throw something away you need it!! 😊💗
Go where you can afford to pay for things that you need.
I live on a disability income as well. It's really hard to budget. I've found that Dollar Tree is the best way for me to get creative with organizing. It has been a serious lifesaver. I have those wire shelf things and I've used foam core board and contact paper to make them more stable for things to sit on.
The long skinny white baskets work VERY well for the shelf that you are talking about. I used zipped ties on mine so they stay in place. I had my spices in them along time ago BUT now, I have my essential oils on them in a cabinet! They fit great & I can see everything I have. For labels, I am constantly changing them so I bought a case of the little picture frames, labelled them on normal white paper. I used the glass to make glass boxes for my small things like paper clips, erasers etc. That was so fun to make. Just some ideas :) Have fun & stay gold!

Thanks so much for the tips. Having to work from home on a very small desk has its challenges and I don’t want to spend a lot of money as with my luck they would send me back into the office. I will be going to the dollar store soon to try a few of these to give myself a little extra work space. I think anyone working from home these days would appreciate the low cost tips. Can’t wait to try them. Now I just hope everyone else doesn’t beat me there and buy everything I want to try.

I can't believe that I have never thought about that the metal in the screw on a stud could be found by using a magnet! I could have used this hack a few times over!
Angela, I can't tell you how many holes I have in my walls because I couldn't find the stud!!!! Then I have hide them before the hubby sees them!!! LOL!!!!

This is BY FAR one of the VERY BEST organization videos that I have seen yet!!!... and let's just say that I have been through way too many lately lol 😆!!! That air cookie sheet, turned peg board AND magnetic holder, all-in-one idea... That is the most awesome idea, and will for sure be used in my home in the very near future... THANKS SO MUCH for that!!! I have been wanting to do some sort of peg board type thing, for various things I use often, but have yet to find an actual peg board solution that would be a good size, look decent where I need it, and most importantly, affordable!?! Even the smallest peg board that I found straight out store bought is so heavy and not cute at all... it was meant for a garage space area... and the board alone was expensive, much less to add the specialty brand pegs that went with it!!! I am so thankful for people like you, whose brains work in a way that mine never would!!!
P.S. You also just helped me with my homeschool and business overflow clutter, in MANY various ways. If I could hug you thru this screen, I would lol... I hope you know how appreciated you are!?! Just subscribed, and so thankful to have found you. I may actually get my s#!+ together now after all!?!

The gorilla mounting tape, and the magnetic boards and all of the bin options are just magical for not a lot of money. And the over-the-door stuff!! I recently moved into a senior studio with little more than my clothes and mementos. I’ve been able to get or borrow essentials. I’m a on a fixed income right now but I have always hated wasting money. Why buy a plastic container when I can turn an empty plastic bottle into one? I also love how versatile cardboard is.

Former homeschooling mom here as well, all my kiddos have graduated, I would have loved to have had all these amazing youtube videos accessible while schooling. One question, do the hypertough strips work better than the command strips? I have had no success with the command strips, even when I follow the weight guidelines, It seems a month into the use of them, inevitably my items fall from the wall and usually take a good chunk of paint down to the drywall even in some cases. I swore to myself I would never use them again.
Thanks! So glad you liked the new ORG video! In regards to the command strips, I'm not sure, but it does seem as though they may have improved in recent years. About 9 or 10 years ago, I used them to do a wall of glass framed Godzilla images for my middle son's room with disastrous results! About half of them eventually fell off the wall and crashed to the ground and I, like you, swore never to use them again!! But then, about 4 years later, when my oldest went to college we used them for several purposes in her dorm room. They seemed to hold up all year and she used them throughout her college years so little by little by faith was restored. Now in regards to paint peel, my daughter will only use command brand and says that is the only one she can remove without any problems. However, I have had issues with both BUT have found if I hold the strip and pull STRAIGHT down very slowly, I can remove either of them without damage. 😊💗

The brackets are really called pipe straps. If u use them regularly you can find them other places than closet maid . They come in a variety of sizes
