Get the Vitamix. I'm all for savings, but as a very frugal individual, I want a blender that has a history of lasting a long time. There are Vitamix blenders from the 1970s that still work! I chose to buy a refurbished standard for about $330 6 years ago and have no problems. I rather go ahead and spend $330 for durability for possibly 30 years of use than $180 for a cheaper blender that has no history of lasting that long. $180 x 2 = $360 so buying a second $180 blender to replace the first if it breaks out of warranty would have been the cost of a Vitamix.
A blender is literally a switch attached to a motor. I think people overblow this concern. They all use very similar motors, but the knockoffs are outrageously cheaper and just as good.
@@MikeMPharmaCyclist How many blenders did you have? I havent have many but friends of me and many in forums are talking rly often about broken blenders and theres a big difference in quality
I have had that Oster for long time and done many shakes and I will tell u that it is a very high quality made blender. U cam make anything in it as u do in a vitamin. It's not just the machine it's the operator. It's a learning curve to figure out how to operate the blender to get the drinks how u want them. Over time u will learn how to manipulate the speed, pulsing, how much ice to put or water or milk etc.. , u will learn how best to pack the blender in terms of which types of fruits or veggies should go in a certain order close to the blade cuz some things r lighter n fluffier than other heavier denser and more water Content in the foods.
Can you grind oat bran into flour? Can you make peanut butter? Can you put broccoli and kale in a smoothie and still haven't come out smoothly without chunks and bits of broccoli?
I get a kick out of how much fruit people put in their blenders for one smoothie - literally your daily maximum for at least 3 days! And then adding greens is supposed to make it healthy - LOL!
I work with diabetics all day and you wouldn’t believe how many think they’re being healthy because they make smoothies eat a lot of fruit or drink plenty of orange juice.
The real questions are: which blend is the best for your gut and its bacteria? Will the smoothest blend consisting of broken into "powder" fibers be as good for your peristalsis as the bit chunky one? And sugar? Are you not pre-diabetic yet?
I've seen a couple of people say their Cleanblends have lasted years of regular use so far (longest I found was 4 years and counting). I got a Cleanblend last week, so if someone tags me in like a year or so I can say whether it's still going 😃
I have a 6 year old Kenmore Elite blender that although it's not a high speed blender it has definitely been a serious work horse in our house. Unfortunately it's starting to make funny noises when run at Lo 2 medium speeds. It sounds like the bearing in the bottom of the picture is starting to fail.. I would purchase a new one in a heartbeat but unfortunately Sears no longer carries the blender so I decided to upgrade to a more professional model. I narrowed my search between the Vitamix and the Blendtec. Thank God I checked Consumer Reports first. The Blendtec was not only one of the worst performers but it had the worst reliability of any other blender on the market. Even the $26 Hamilton Beach out performed the Blendtec and was far more reliable as well. I decided on a new Vitamix explorian. I like the 48 oz pitcher size and I like the fact that it doesn't have all those stupid presets which Consumer Reports said only ads to the price and not to the performance. It should arrive Saturday morning.
An additional consideration is after sale service. I can't address the others, but Oster is miserable. The 'support' people are ignorant and thus not helpful. Fortunately, I found this out before the return window on the Oster blender I bought expired and was able to return it.
be great if you could compare froothie.co.uk/optimum-9200/ blender against them, as it is 2611w powerful value blender but not sure if its as good as it sounds. please review esp want to know if they last, thanks in advance
We've had our vitamix 23 years. Thousands and thousands of uses. Amazing build quality.
which one do you have? the fact that youve had it for so long makes me want the exact model you have
Can you review homegeek pro blender vs vita 750?
This only reaffirm my purchase of vitamix blender, is worth every penny

@@SurrealExposure12 completely inaccurate based on my experience, read above. Vitamix seems to be oversold trash based on marketing hype.
@@heni63 read the comment I just posted... Vitamix has been a gigantic disappointment for us.

Do a comparison with a Bateerun blender vs Vitamix blender

either exaggerating or don’t know the daily recommended value of fruits
I can get 2x Cleanblend for the cost of one Vitamix. .. therefore.. Vitamix needs to lower their cost if they want to convince me to buy one.
I think Vitamix is doing okay lol
What are the warranties like on the Cleanblend and the Osterizer? The carafe, and the motor.
I would have liked to see beans into flour, that's really the ultimate test.

why pre diabetic? Especially if you make Smoothies onky with green stuff the vitamix will be even ebtter when looking at smoothness
You should have showed the mixing of the blenders more in depth so we could actually see how they mix compared to a vitamix 😐
without a long-term reliability review these reviews are pointless.
And how many reviews generally give us a "long term durability" review? Almost none.

Many Chinese blenders can do the same thing than Vitamix now and will be much cheaper
