I think all of you did a brilliant job of clearing away the safety hazard & replanting that beautiful ancient tree. I'm sure those who planted it centuries ago are smiling on you. Had I been one of the onlookers, I'd have been begging for a piece of a chopped down limb for a good luck keepsake.

This old tree has been blessed and still is going to be blessed because it might have served its purpose for a shade tree but now will live on, for Gods gonna allow many more purposes for it. Thank you for sharing such a sad but great moment. The tree is just like us! It came from the earth and will goback to the earth. The worst tree you can ever have on your property. Shallow, wide root system and will tip over with ground saturation and moderate winds. I have seen this again and again in South Florida.
