    2 years later and this reached me while diving into the rabbit hole, I’m a beginner as far as investing goes and I’ve just learned about the term dividends on a video before this and it made me realize how important it is.
    Thank YOU good sir for helping me better understand the topic and how to structure a portfolio going forward, tonight has been a revelation and the two videos that helped me the most were ASMR videos💀

    I doubt Verizon increases their dividend by 2-3% per year. Unless you're saying 2% of 2%.

    • @SilentStocks
      @SilentStocks  3 роки тому +1

      yeaa about 2% dividend growth per year, its not that high of an increase. Is just keeping up with inflation

    Why would you not invest in growth companies when you are in your 20s. That’s how you are going to massively build wealth over time. Then when you retire move that money into dividend stocks.

      I agree with that idea too, i think having growth in the portfolio is optimal for my age group. I do think the market is valuing these growth stocks to high so that anything this i considered. For the purpose of this video I just said what could be done if one wanted to make a dividend specific portfolio in their 20s to plan for retirement. Not 100% of what I would actually do or am doing in my portfolio.
      I gota video out too idk if you saw about investing in 20s like some ideas and stuff. This is more geared to what I doing or reflecting on decision ive made.

    why are finance bros like this, "youll be probably dropping 1000 a week in this" who?

    • @SilentStocks
      @SilentStocks  Рік тому +2

      all the rich people i guess loool. Did I make it sound like I was doing that?
      I do agree with you comment. A lot of people on YT make vids assuming people put a lot of money into the markets and it isnt practical.
      Even if you drop 100k into a 3% yielding stock, thats $3000 a year in divs. It can help pay the bills and such but not really.

    • @jazzforest1
      @jazzforest1 Рік тому +1

      @@SilentStocks I mean it's fine, you kinda need big numbers to show the growth, If you talk about 3% on 100 dollars that's nothing and doesnt sound as impressive or get the point across. Basically the info is still of value to someone who can't do that much just gotta be realistic on the fact that little invested is little gains but better than nothing invested.

    • @SilentStocks
      @SilentStocks  Рік тому +1

      @@jazzforest1 yeaa i agree and for vids you almost have to use big numbers or no one cares like you said. Slowly adds up and compounds over a long time!

      I was the first comment. Is it mine that you’re talking about? Bc on some videos on this channel my comments don’t show up sometimes, it’s been like that for a little bit 🤔

      So much spam comments raid any stock videos. Its crazy. I gota block or report like 3 accounts every video and those are the ones that slip through youtubes cracks.
