It reminds me of the Hero Session, which I liked. I think this camera is less of a "vlog" camera and more of a true action camera, which GoPro was always intended for. I definitely could use something like this in my gear setup

fpv flying is awesom with a desent GoPro mount, I have the Hero 11 in a 3d printed mount on my DIY Quad and the footage is awesome. Picked up an 11 Mini yesterday and that will go on an FPV wing and maaaaaaaybe a DIY drone. heck, it's so small i might even stick it on my helmet when i go skating., or on my dashboard.
Early Gopro's never had screens either, that was part of the fun, press record and wait until you got home to see the footage.. It's designed to be lightweight for attaching to drones or quickly mounting it to something and letting it record without the faff of framing or 'getting the proper angle'.
I'm an FPV pilot and the 11 mini is flippin' fantastic. 2 drawbacks: No replaceable battery and it gets HOT at 4k 60fps. Other than that, it's PERFECT for FPV.
😅 this was designed for fpv, we mount these on our drones and having no screen to break when crashing is a GoPro saver, now we don’t have that problem, over heating doesn’t really happen when strapped to a drone, Having said that it was marketed for all when it should of specially been marketed as an fpv GoPro. Action use case. Your correct in your opinion. The mini is meant for vehicles, drones and helmet mount. Fpv drones are perfect. Hopefully software updates will repair the over heating concerns

I got a new one in a matter of days, and I'm pretty happy so far. Nevertheless, I find unconvenient not being able to extract the battery. Other than that, is great.
The fact that the model you're holding, branded as HERO11 MINI, clearly indicates a smaller, lighter, and simplified version of the standard Hero 11. This should prompt you to realize that it's designed for unconventional use.
i think its mainly made for helmets like motorcycle, parashutting,skating etc. because you dont need to look screen when driving , and you dont need to hold it.

No screen is desirable for many who want to do either extreme sports or attach the gopro on things that they might crash, so that they do not worry about a screen that would break (a very common example is FPV drones). Of course, if you want to do vlogging, the usual 11 is going to be far better with the screens

Wouldn't agree here. It's about the use case. It might be true that for a normal user it's inconvenient to have a cam without a display, but at least in my country there is about a $110 price difference between the two. Especially for use cases where the camera must be very durable like for FPV or some mounting variants, it's a great action cam for the price.

you are acctually right its a little more smaller, you cant do 1/2 of stuff not even take pictures and if you are using it every day the battery life would be max 2years. its not worth it... and i think the price is the same as the normal gopro 11. im using gopros for 2-3years they are pretty good... if you wanna i would be very happy to get a gopro mini for drone shots and that stuff. curently i use gopros most for diving, but i wanna try other things too so i would be happy if i could get one.

I would love to use it for FPV flying. Screens just brake on FPV drones. So this is perfect. ( well- could be smaller and lighter).

I purchased the GoPro Mini and I'm happy with my purchase, especially with the lower price. I don't need a screen to frame correctly.
