One thing i've learned being in the automotive industry for 15 years now is everyone has "their" way of doing things, everyone else's way is sub par. That's probably the case with Slavens, he sees your videos and thinks you are sub par because you do it different. If you don't have haters you're not doing it right.
Just bought this at slavens racing in the springs ! They highly recommended it and now I’m extra stoked ! They had it in stock but it’s 100$ now . Thanks for all your reviews, video’s and hard work ! You are definitely appreciated!
Bought this tire about 3 weeks ago and just put my first ride on it yesterday and the traction is incredible! Definitely my favorite tire and I’ve only got about 2.5 hours on it. Will be buying more for sure!
Ran a Shinko 505 for a few years and loved it..Now im running a Shinko 87-4741 SX216 Series Rear Tire - 140/80-18 and its even better than the 505. IMO
In around 5 years we have gone from 1 extreme type tire at an outrageous price to a market flooded with solid choices from who cares cheap to only special event use. I am loving the irc 33es wear and traction here in ohio at a good price. Life is good.
Multi compounds have been around in MTB for a long time now, it is very surprising that the moto world still hasn't coped on by now. Having a hard base compound cover with gummy compound can allow your knobs to keep their shape, last longer while using a softer gummy compound. And then you can have softer/harder compound for center/side knobs depending on application like front and rear. Maxxis is famous for their 3C tires, so they have knowledge and experience, I wonder why they don't transfer it to moto.
"The golden age of dirt bikes" interesting and I couldnt agree more. I have been riding for around 40 years now and yup I agree, love my KTM 300 just a great time to be on bikes. Well said Kyle love the channel too, thanks for that.
I get all winter out of a kenda equilibrium and all summer out of a perllie Mt 43, both are great traction compared to a regular nob. And leave a lot less tracks witch is very important if you don't want your trails found and tore up.
@@doug_EX I haven’t ran the single green stripe ef07. Depends on the terrain where your riding. Rocks, roots, mountain terrain the double green has amazing traction. I got about 400kms on my tire on my cr500. That bike eats tires. So it will last longer on the enduro 300’s etc.
Sedona MX208 120/90-18 DUAL COMPOUND RADIAL ?!? I've been riding this on my highly modified XR650L for tight technical single track, high speed two track, and some street. Long lasting, HEAVY "RADIAL". ODDLY enough, I have the Shinko 520 90/100-21 on the FRONT of my Big XR and have beat the living hell out of it. Very good traction and wear.
@@DirtBikeChannel I have probably 15 hours on it now (5 races plus some practice). I’ve rounded the knobs pretty good. Anxious to try the 525 cheater to compare.
I'd disagree on the performance vs longevity argument. The 505 Cheater offers very good performance and literally lasts forever. I ran one for 3 full seasons and only changed it out because I wanted to try the 525. Is the 505 the BEST performing tire? Nope but it has excellent performance and lasts forever. Can't beat that for the money.

I have the gt333 on my xr650r and 450rx. Its the only tire that will last a hole season and has the best traction. We will all dump way more than $150 at a strip club, so spending the money on a good tire isn't a big deal.
Problem is, it looks like it is directional, makes it limited because you can’t switch it around. So if cost or wear is an issue, that might not be good.
