Ren supports reactors, there is no need to block out parts of the video for copyright. Let the whole piece of art play through. The visual elements of the video are just as important to the work.
@@supertuscans9512mmmmm unless something has changed I’ll have to disagree there. Anytime a reactor somehow had their video blocked, Ren has EXPLICITLY told them to contact him and he’ll have it unblocked and no strings attached… he has always said he wants people to react to things he makes in full. No “deals” needed to be made. Hell, he does that because he knows his meteoric rise is because of his music being spread through the reaction channel community.
@@alexanderzadoroznyj I think there might have been a shift to sharing royalties, which I think would be fair. Heard a few reactors talking about that.
@@alexanderzadoroznyjfor my understanding you are right. He had unblock at the beginning reactors on his own when he discovered the reaction videos, but I think in the meanwhile it is hard for him to follow up for any reaction video. But he or his team will unblock the reactor if they contact him. its takes maybe a while because he is very busy at the moment because on the new album he is working on.
I have the email of Ethan Baer who is RENs Global rights manager for UA-cam. He gave it to Rabbit Hole fans to share with reactors if they have a problem. Ren is happy for reactors to monetise their Ren reactions. Let me know if you want the email address
Ren will most likely see this and I promise you, he would much rather you show his videos all the way through. He loves reactors, and you may even get a shout-out. Great reaction, though! Welcome to the most diverse and insanely creative artist currently on the planet. This is very much the tip of iceberg...
New sub here from Arizona, I'm here for any and all Ren reactions. As a 53 year old music lover my whole life, Ren has reconfigured my mind for the better and REN-EWED my heart & soul by making me really hear music for the 1st time in my life! Great reaction! 😊 what an amazing journey awaits you!
hello dear!! you and ren were meant for each other!! please follow down the rabbit hole of ren, with fun to ensue!! ren has a large catalog, not a dud in the bunch......welcome!!! kathleen bts renegade edit: ren will be 34 a week from today!! imho, his restricted life style due to decades of ill health, on and off yrs spent in bed 23 hr a day, could account for his youthful appearance. and to my 72 yr old eyes, he's so beautiful a person and artist, i just want to kiss his cheeks!! k.
Confession from a Ren Reaction addict. You really gave me a great fix❤ Ren has so much but The Tales of Jenny and Screech full version with Violets Tale is a must. He does it all. Many, like this one are live one takes.
I've been around since you were music teacher reacts and just finding nightwish. I'm not sure I would classify ren as reactabait. He definitely has a big following just like nightwish or dimash, and reacting to him will bring "renegades" to your channel. But i think most people who react to him are struck just like you, by the raw emotion in the music. And the skill. He has a fantastic catalogue as well. Sick boi is a heavily produced rap song with electronic music, filmed in the same room. "suic*de" is an incredibly impactful song. The tale Jenny and screetch is a trilogy of live single take videos telling a tragic tale of London. Strong recommendation to react to this, he has them all 3 in a single video on his channel. Money game part 1, 2 and 3 are great too, social commentary on the world and capitalism. Part two should be the lyric video. And part 3 is a downright masterpiece. He also has some more signing stuff, chalk outlines and how to be me are great examples. And most of his stuff is live single take videos. Hi ren is obviously filmed with different angles, they did a handfull of takes, but the audio is recorded live with the video. But a lot of his other stuff is handheld camera and the videography is a work of art in itself. Edit: ren is independent and loves seeing people experience his music. He credits reactors heavily with his success. You can play his videos in full without risk of copyright strikes.
Huh. I've seen this pop up here and there both as reactions and requests, but have avoided listening to it until now. All I knew was that it's rap, which I don't usually like at all, but I absolutely love this! The only other rap song I've ever liked is Stan, and this obviously has some similarities, but the use of a real guitar and the other vocal parts make this steal the top spot for me as far as this style goes. And the lyrics paint such strong images that I could easily see this song used in a theatre performance. Now I definitely need to listen to the original version and to see the rest of the music video too.
@@rogerstarkey5390I would say patience is a pre-requisite too, it’s not on his channel though. Both were after his misdiagnoses, but before he found out he had Lyme.
Ren's a super perfectionist and meticulously does all the post production himself. NOTHING in a Ren video is accidental, as you will discover if you explore his other 150 -ish songs.
As an example, his hard to do but a little "cracky" falsetto at the beginning over the simple guitar - was a bit amateur on purpose. Many are impressed by this bit when they first hear it, but a pro would say he is a bit restricted in airflow but pretty good for a self taught. But later in the video he sings the same bit a lot better. It does not seem hard for him to hit the same notes. All while playing a lot more complicated guitar. It takes mastery to play as if you are an amateur - on purpose.
Agreed! The exception that confirms the rule might be Halftime. Apparently the countdown and the school bus were lucky accidents. The type you get in one shots. Sometimes the stars align ✨
@@wadadli4sun You're completely right, although the perfectionism I was referring to was his music production. His directorial skills are also extraordinary, but his videos contain many happy accidents (although I've heard Ren say he films most of his videos 15-20 times and picks the version he likes best - I'm guessing the bus and countdown only happened once, and that's the version he liked.) The guy is an undisputed genius.
@@yonahgrossman7319 Yup. I agree totally. He's insanely perfectionistic. Animal Farm was heading towards a century of takes at some ungodly hour late at night!
Terrific reaction! Welcome to Ren!! You have just scratched the surface of the mother load of possible music analysis because Ren can, and does, EVERYTHING. Prepare to be surprised with every video. (No need to block the images. Ren LOVES reactors. He thanked them at the beginning of his video celebrating 1 million youtube subscribers, and included the line, "reaction super sized me" in his most recent video HALFTIME. If you ever get copyright issues with Ren - or any of the other AMAZING artists you've going to find he collabs with - just dispute it, and Ren will release the block.) You're in for quite a ride! Enjoy!!
I've seen countless Hi Ren reactions but this is honestly one of my favorites. It was more technical and analytical than most other reactions out there and I REALLY appreciate that. Can't wait to watch your eventual descent into the Rabbit Hole, welcome 🤞🏼😊
Welcome to the wonderful world of Ren. He’s a musical genius while battling pain and disease. Beautiful human being too. Great reaction. Subbed for more. Ren is 33.
What an amazing video. Found you today and am already 12 videos deep. Really like the content. And if you would be open to more Ren, I'd recommend either the Tale of Jenny and Screech or Money Game Pt. 1 - 3 next, they are all masterpieces in themselves, but Money Game Pt. 3 might be one of the best pieces of art in the last decade.
Welcome to the Ren Rabbit Hole! I hope you stay and react to more. I'm sure people have given you lots of recommendations already, and I see into the future and know that you have reacted to "Mackay". I was about to give you some suggestions, but my problem is that Ren's entire catalog is extraordinary, and incredibly diverse. So have fun exploring. Even if you don't want your channel's focus to change, you owe it to yourself to listen to more Ren!
I can only recommend you checking out more stuff of ren! If you want more context to his illness i can also recommend you going back to the hi ren video and reading his comment. it explains a lot more than the monologue he gave in the video.
I think it would be great to see you break down the Tale of Jenny and Screech trilogy (do it all at once 13.5 minute video) I think vocally you would appreciate Chalk Outlines with Chinchilla :) Glad to have you with us!
I haven’t seen your reactions in a while but I’m so glad you found Ren. He’s an amazing and very diverse artist. I hope to see you react to more of his music / Art. Thank you!!
Nice reaction 👍 You've just stumbled on an absolute artistic GENIUS I'm sure someone will give you a heads up on his illness & treatment situation but it would be useful for you to take a look (react to) at his Thank you to 1m subscribers. It'll give you a little insight which helps to understand his lyrics within many of his amazing videos on here. Liked & subscribed in anticipation of you reacting to more Ren Cheers pal 👍🍻
Welcome to the world of Ren and the Renegades! Subbed to follow you down the rabbit hole. You not only won’t be disappointed, you will be constantly blown away by Ren. In case it hadn’t been said, this is Live and done in 1 take.
Keys to the kingdom, man, that's what you have found in Ren. He's a gift to everyone that finds him. He is the most dynamic music artist working today. Just keep going down this rabbit hole. I suggest another long one to follow it up: the full 13-minute Tales of Jenny and Screech trilogy. Do the one that's all in one video. It's so good.
I've always particularly liked the progression in the "yodel" parts of this piece; the initial part is clipped and constrained as he tries to control all aspects of his inner turmoil, so it sounds precise yet strained and "sharp". At the end, where he has learned to accept both aspects of his personality, it becomes more organic, natural and powerful. The dance he speaks of in his monologue.
I first heard this just over a year ago. I had never watched a reaction video in my life. For some reason this artist has me hooked. His talent, diversity and skill set is just miles above anyone else. And watching reaction videos of this some i. Particular never gets old. I love watching others discover him for the first time. This will never get old. Thank you for an amazing reaction. I've just subbed. 😊
Subbing for more Ren. You don’t need to do anything with the videos, Ren encourages reactors. If you check out his last short on YT you will see him thanking reactors. He watches loads and comments too. Any issues let me know, I have a contact to get you whitelisted. Here’s some info for you 🖤 🔥🔥🔥 .Welcome to the Renaissance! Ren is my favourite artist of all time. I say artist because he is a multifaceted diamond! From singing (all styles) to rapping (bars/flows/schemes for days), Bardcore (story telling) beatbox, makes his own beats, scatting and a multi instrumentalist (guitars, bass, drums, melodica and more). On top of that he is the most beautiful human being inside and out who has been through and continues to go through absolute hell. Ren is 33 from Anglesey, Wales originally but spent most his adult life in Brighton, England. He has been very ill for years, at one point being completely bed ridden. He was misdiagnosed for years, being told he was bipolar, had M.E and more and was prescribed medications that made him worse and ended up in psychosis. It turns out Ren had Lyme disease which has caused havoc on his body. He’s been living in Calgary, Canada all year receiving intense medical treatment for his brain damage and mast cell activation disorder amongst other things that were caused by the Lyme disease. He started off making beats at 12 and selling CDs then moved on to busking. He was part of a band called Trick The Fox and was signed to Sony but they didn’t renew the contract after his health deteriorated. He then started The Big Push. They went on hiatus the end of last year after 5 years partly due to his move to Canada and also because the other members are also soloists and were moving around too. While back he is in a band called Big Push, worth a listen too. Money Game part 1 to 3 worth a watch. He is a big one take manufacture of vids this one 4 takes audio and one take filming. Jenyy and screech trilogy also a watch.
The other way around 😋😁… 4 takes vid and the audio is straight from 1 of the 4 takes.. most of the vid is also only from 1 take, with some cuts from other versions… they could only film 4 takes.. so could not go on filming until they had the perfect take
You have found the doorway to a very deep rabbit hole. Ren has a massive catalog of fascinating performances with an incredible variety of genres. For Hi Ren, I love the consistency of using so many ways to distinguish the voices: lighting, posture, aggression vs passivity in voice and guitar playing, literally everything showing two distinct and separate voices. Another important detail is this is a live one take. He has a particular taste for doing single takes or minimal breaks, only when absolutely necessary. That alone raises the bar of professionalism and performance to rare heights. Not only his solo catalog, but also take a look at his busking collaborations with multiple artists and the catalog for his band, The Big Push. Some background: The Big Push had been signed by Sony, but Ren fell ill and ended up bed ridden, unable to do anything. He was misdiagnosed for about 7 years and finally was found to have Lyme's disease, from a tick bite, along with auto immunity issues. He is currently getting treatment in Canada. Another amazing note: He taught himself to play guitar watching Jimi Hendrix and John Frusciante videos on youtube and slowing them down. He didn't even originally sing or rap, he produced beats but couldn't find any rappers or singers to perform on them, so he just did it himself. ENDLESS TALENT
I’m not sure you’re entirely right about your time line. I’m pretty certain that Ren was signed with Sony as a Solo artist. The big push were formed some years later and were never signed by Sony. Ren , unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), has to walk away as due to his illness he couldn’t hold up his end of the deal. The producer at Sony (and Sony) were pretty decent because they let him have the masters of what he’d done when forced to quit , which was a generous act.
Ren was signed to Sony at the end of his Trick the Fox days, as the Lyme disease was taking hold. He got too sick to leave the house, and the contract expired. Years later, when he finally had a correct diagnosis & got back to the UK from an initial treatment abroad (LA, I believe?) and started to see a first improvement in his health, The Big Push got together (2018, I think? Maybe it was late 2017). 👍
I, like most, have watched over one hundred, maybe two hundred, reactions to HI REN. If it resonates you find yourself becoming obsessed with the art he has created, the shocking thing being there is so, so much to discover. He is, in my humble opinion, the greatest artist I have come across in my 45 years on this planet.
Just stumbled on this video in my daily reaction listens. And of course I'm a huge Ren fan ever since hi ren came out over a year ago and I've watched so so many hi ren reactions. It never gets old. You can't get the feeling you had when you first heard it but you can get the feeling by watching other people's reactions to it so I watch them a lot. As do most of my renegade family. We've grown together as a group of strong Ren supporters and love seeing others fall into the spell of Rens genius. Welcome to the Ren rabbit hole my friend. I promise you have a long way to go.
Ren just posted a short, once mote talking about his love for reactors. He said, having spent so much time with a song production, when he watches reactors hear it for the 1st time and it's like finally he can hear it as close to the 1st time as possible He's a good ladd
For me Hi Ren was the very first time I've seen a music video and thought "oh, this is what art is" I've never fully understood art but I understand this amazing video!
Love your reaction so much ! Ren will turn 34 on march 29th 😉 He has Lyme desease, misdiagnosis for a decade and he has suffered and is still suffering... But he has been able to project his music to the world despite all his horrible pain. He's a genius and plays piano, drums, bass... Song writer, poet, producer, he makes his own beats... So much talents, the rabbit hole is a world unto itself 😉 enjoy the ride, so worth it 😍 Thanks 😘
For REN, this was truly his reality. Ren had misdiagnosed Lyme disease for 7 years by conventional doctors who deemed him mentally ill, but when patients are experiencing neurological symptoms, they very often become misdiagnosed. Lyme disease can present itself as many neurological conditions including Acute Transverse Myelitis[3], Ptosis[4], Seizures, and Chronic Fatigue[1] and these symptoms can be often misdiagnosed or deemed psychosomatic. Second is dealing with the symptoms of Lyme neuroborreliosis, these neurological symptoms often leave patients feeling drained and debilitated as they begin losing their quality of life. Over time, patients find themselves unable to do the things they love as they struggle to get ahead of their progressing symptoms.
For everyone asking him to do the Tales, just know MTR focuses on sound much more than lyrics, so don't give him grief if/when he doesn't get the twist, k? For more sonically interesting tracks, his recent Fred Again Mashup has more singing and acoustic guitar, and How to Be Me (the live version) with Chinchilla is phenomenal.
@@TheMuserResolute sorry for the confusion; I meant the twist in the Tales of Jenny and Screech, which many are suggesting as your next Ren reaction. 🙂
This is funny. I was surprised to see I am already subscribed to you and then I realised I loved your reaction to Voyager in Eurovision last year! I am an avid Renegade, I love your reaction to Hi Ren and I really hope you will continue with the Ren journey of discovery. As others have said the Trilogy of Jenny and Screech and Violet's Tale are essential. And I really think you would love the busking Ren did with his band The Big Push. Enjoy :D

So glad you have discovered Ren. A once in a lifetime phenomenal Artist. A great reaction and will be following your adventure as you begin to explore the treasure chest of unique gems, that is Rens back catalogue. Enjoy 🏴👍
I've actually had a few people recommend Ren to me after finding out i like NF but havent gotten around to listening to him yet so this was fun. I only listen to clean music so probably won’t continue to listen to him but it was cool to finally get to hear him and get your thoughts at the same time!
Ren is an interesting artist due to his diversity because he is playing with many music genres and combining them. Going through his music catalogue is like opening a Pandora´s box...and his lyricism is poetic which makes him a tremendous storyteller as well. Another thing which is outstanding is that most of his videos are live recordings in one take. By the way he is a fully independent artist so there are no copyright claims because he is supporting reaction videos
I’m so surprised it took you so long to find Ren!! He’s a fan of NF so I’m sure you’re gonna love all his work!! He’s an awesome rapper and singer who can do any genre, so you’re in for a treat going down this rabbit hole!!

Ren and chinchillas Chalk Outlines or how to be me... the acoustic version of murderer and original..... The acoustic version of animal flow and the original... The hunge..r the illest of our time... His band The Big push has some great originals and busking stuff... I absolutely adore Bongo bong and humble... I could go on and on about all the great music that Ren has. But yes do more! I'll be here for all things Ren
✌️💚 Great reaction 👏 He's a living genius - yes, he's vocals and range is out of this world & he plays several instruments... Loved your reaction. Saludos desde Valencia ✌️💚
Welcome to the RENaissance. I hope you decide to take the trip down the rabbit hole. The RENegades will lead you down the path…. There are some songs with more than one version and some that need to be heard in order. Enjoy the ride. The Tales of Jenny and Screech you will love.
We are Ren followers because of the talent he projects ! Welcome I see you are intrigued do a little research into him as a artist, Would like to suggest another but he has about 180 videos out and I have only for a few that are good but just not for me. But the other 99% I love it and his talent is top shelf so to speak. For the man listen to his 1 million subscriber thank you speech. Then where you go from there is up to you. Try the tale of Jenny & screech trilogy ..
Ren is a performer above and beyond everything else. All his talents and abilities are impressive, probably top 1%, but many people do them better, individually. Ren is able to combined all those talents into an incredible performance (normally live), and he does it over and over, which puts him in truly rare air. Add in that he is doing all this as an individual artist, with no big pockets behind him, and it becomes legendary.
Ren is changing this world for the better, with every soul he touches. He's a tectonic force sending out p-waves warning of coming paradigm shift. Hold on to something but try to stay flexible because it'll be a bumpy ride, but always help those around you if you can. We are one people, the humans. It's time we start sharing what's positive and reducing our dependence on the negative. Most importantly, remember that we are all in this together. Let's make that a good thing through helping our kin if we can... Sorry, don't know what pulled that cork out. Thank you for your great reaction! I love how Ren reactions come in so many flavors of perspectives, and the skilled musical ear's reaction is one of my favorites... Especially when you can see the moment when they ask themselves how he's pulling something off. You didn't disappoint my hopes for a relatable and informative impression of Ren from a unique perspective. Thank you for being my acoustic silly-putty. Keep up the quest and I'll look for you wherever Ren (the bard slayer) is playing.
Welcome to the wonderful world of ren, where you can always expect the unexpected 😊 subbed in hopes of more ren! Also, if you ever have copyright issues with any of his content let us, the renegades, know and we can get in touch with someone who can clear that for you 💜💜
Really enjoyed your reaction. There's nothing unintentional about anything Ren does. I always feel like the vocal section at the end (the Queen of the Night section, I call it😂) is the integration of all his aspects, the "eternal dance" he mentions. 😊
One of the biggest things I love about Ren is that he doesn't use pitch correction/autotune. On some of his other songs he uses some effects but in general he doesn't 'fix' his vocals, which is a big reason I think people gravitate to his voice so much. It's great on its own, doesn't need fixing & is very real & varied. His voice has soooo much genuine character & people are sick of hearing fake voices autotuned to sound inhuman, making every vocalist sound pretty much the same. We want human voices with all their unique characteristics back! Plus all the other things that make Ren amazing, of course.
Ren is a modern day bard. Here are some other greats from him. Chaulk Outlines - more singing type Suic!de - more produced, with a poem at the end Money Game part 3 - all 3 parts are great but part 3 is amazing. He's an amazing artist. Part of it is his originality in both his music and authenticity.
Really enjoyed your thoughtful reaction to Ren. He is a talented musician, doing all of his composition, performance, and mixing himself. He is not signed to any large company, having gathered his own group of video and promotional assistants. He is self taught, and creatively superior to many artists today. His range of musical interest is wide, and he plays guitar, base, and piano. Check out the Ren ‘rabbit hole’.
What a great reaction. I truly hope to see more Ren from you. He is an artist that is genuinely unique. Never assume what you think he will be doing. He'll surprise you every time. Please also look into his collaborations with Chinchilla. How To Be Me and Chalk Outlines. Live versions are almost always recommended. And then there is The Big Push. Take Ren and add 3 more ridiculously talented and passionate musicians. I would recommend their cover of Praise You. Welcome to the Rabbit Hole. You're going to love it here.
Nice reaction, you appteciated many levels. This man is an onion. Theres a giant rabbithole to go down with him. Read more about his actual life story, and his DIY type ascent recently (and going and going), and youll appteciate both him and his art more. He can play piano and write hip hop beats and is a very elite rapper. Lots of duets and plays with a band Big Push sometimes. Few suggestions: Trilogy (in full) of Tale of Jenny and Screech (and violet). Has to be seen as one piece for maximum effect. Chalk outlines (duet w Chinchilla) The hunger Seven Sins Suicide Money Game 1,2,3 Enjoy
Ren will be 34 next week. He has spent years dealing with health issues. He is a truly phenomenal musician. Self-taught on guitar, piano and several other instruments. Subbed for more Ren. The Tales of Jenny, Screech and Violet will also blow your mind 💜💜
I know what food I like and don't like. I am far from being able to classify myself as a food critic. The same is for music.. but to follow through with my analogy, I have yet to find food from Ren which I do not like.. .. and he has a smorgasbord of music types. Welcome to the never ending gourmet feast that is Ren and friends
Yes.. more Ren.. He'll be your new fave, like everyone else. Not just for his music ability, but for his story, his character and work ethic. Just a good solid dude
A common question is "does he cover any other genre? If so, which?" . Answer. "Yes.... Name one" . He's coined the phrase "Barcode" for his own style of poetic storytelling. Plus.... Reggae Rock Soul Jazz Rap. (That's *RAP* ! Various styles) Instrumentals. . And I'm probably missing something. . Plus he directs, produces, mixes... . Top tip. . You'll see various "Part 2, Part 3" pieces. They are multi-part, and worth watching in order for true context (youd be surprised how many don't) (Money game springs to mind.... That's a "banger") . Lyrics... Are often in the comments section and can be useful on a second screen ( *fast* rapping!)
I want to add...do NOT read the lyrics to Jenny and Screeches Tale (full) before watching...it's another must watch. But, all of his videos are a must watch. He's absolutely incredible.
Welcome to the Ren rabbit hole. First thing: You have no risk for copyright with Ren. In fact he encourages people to show entire videos. Enjoyed your break down.
Ren is 33, 34 next week 32 when he filmed this. He speaks about difficult topics in order to shine light on chronic mental and physical illness.he is transparent and authentic, and very down to earth. He has adhd, and ptsd from almost a decade of misdiagnosed Lyme disease. He has lived in constant pain and the damage to brain and body the Lyme bacteria caused. He has been in intensive treatment for mire than a year and manages to produce track after track of great music. I recommend you react to Seven Sins, which describes his experience of illness, pain and psychosis.
Thank you so much for doing this! Ren is a wonderful rabbit hole! Please do more, I love to see your videos pop in to my subscriptions and it is a good distraction as I am going through chemotherapy. :) ~ gsxr600red

Ren is self taught, you are in for a treat, welcome to the best rabbit hole you are about to go down.💚✌️🏴.
New sub here from Arizona, I'm here for any and all Ren reactions. As a 53 year old music lover my whole life, Ren has reconfigured my mind for the better and REN-EWED my heart & soul by making me really hear music for the 1st time in my life! Great reaction! 😊 what an amazing journey awaits you!
i feel you same here
hello dear!! you and ren were meant for each other!! please follow down the rabbit hole of ren, with fun to ensue!! ren has a large catalog, not a dud in the bunch......welcome!!! kathleen bts renegade edit: ren will be 34 a week from today!! imho, his restricted life style due to decades of ill health, on and off yrs spent in bed 23 hr a day, could account for his youthful appearance. and to my 72 yr old eyes, he's so beautiful a person and artist, i just want to kiss his cheeks!! k.
Ditto.
Well said 🏴❤️
Confession from a Ren Reaction addict. You really gave me a great fix❤ Ren has so much but The Tales of Jenny and Screech full version with Violets Tale is a must. He does it all. Many, like this one are live one takes.
Wow this was an experience for sure thanks for making me discover Ren !
Ohh boy, are you in for a bumpy ride lol
No 2 ren songs sound the same, just go and listen to a few of his songs and you'll understand 😂
You’re very welcome!!
Welcome to the journey! It is quite an experience.
Welcome to the Reniverse!
Welcome
Enjoy the journey. Its like a helterskelter of astonishment, joy and sadness in a great way.
You are going to be just as hooked to this guy as the rest of us, guaranteed.
Great reaction.
New sub here. Have a look at 'The Tale of Jenny and Screech' by Ren. It's a 13 min trilogy that I think you'll like!
Ren will be 34 on 29th March
💗🦇💗🦇💗🦇💗
I can't wait to see his face watching the trilogy! @@kt_kroovy1031
Came here to say this. ❤. Also, great react. I subscribed. Def let the videos play. ❤
He does way more than rap, too
@@matts4590 Good to know! I've only seen this specific song around anywhere, will need to check at some point what else he's done 🙂
@durabelle his newer one. Back on 74/message in a bottle retake. It's vocalistically amazing

Watch "Crutch" (Ren/ Bibi)
Precursor to this (maybe 8-9 years?) 😢
@@rogerstarkey5390I would say patience is a pre-requisite too, it’s not on his channel though.
If you ever get copyright issues with Ren - or any of the other AMAZING artists you've going to find he collabs with - just dispute it, and Ren will release the block.)
You're in for quite a ride! Enjoy!!
You'll be back😁
Ren will get you hooked upon the music sailor, Aye Aye Aye.
I can't wait to see your reaction to The Tales of Jenny and Screech.
Like the sailor reference.

I second this suggestion
I've seen countless Hi Ren reactions but this is honestly one of my favorites. It was more technical and analytical than most other reactions out there and I REALLY appreciate that. Can't wait to watch your eventual descent into the Rabbit Hole, welcome 🤞🏼😊
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it :)
The 3rd character is "Older Ren".... As described in the Monologue. (...."learned to relax)
And a whole Ren, one who is both evil and good at the same time. Hence the change to music playing style and singing style.
Welcome to the Reniverse! He is such a versatile musician. I encourage you to listen to more of his work.
Glad you’re enjoying the content!! Will be getting to Tale of Jenny and Screech very soon :)
Best reaction I have seen! Immediate follow 🤗
I think it would be great to see you break down the Tale of Jenny and Screech trilogy (do it all at once 13.5 minute video)
I think vocally you would appreciate Chalk Outlines with Chinchilla :)
Glad to have you with us!
So.... You've never heard of Ren? 😂 Love first reactions for this... It's been a while.

I haven’t seen your reactions in a while but I’m so glad you found Ren. He’s an amazing and very diverse artist. I hope to see you react to more of his music / Art. Thank you!!
"A rising tide lifts all ships" a favored quote Ren heard not too long ago.
Thank you for your Reaction.
Nice reaction 👍
You've just stumbled on an absolute artistic GENIUS
I'm sure someone will give you a heads up on his illness & treatment situation but it would be useful for you to take a look (react to) at his Thank you to 1m subscribers. It'll give you a little insight which helps to understand his lyrics within many of his amazing videos on here.

Welcome to the world of Ren and the Renegades! Subbed to follow you down the rabbit hole. You not only won’t be disappointed, you will be constantly blown away by Ren. In case it hadn’t been said, this is Live and done in 1 take.
Welcome aboard! I’ll be back for more Ren.
All disharmony is absolutely intentional. Every detail is thought out with Ren.
Please do more #Ren
Subbing for more Ren. You don’t need to do anything with the videos, Ren encourages reactors. If you check out his last short on YT you will see him thanking reactors. He watches loads and comments too. Any issues let me know, I have a contact to get you whitelisted. Here’s some info for you 🖤
🔥🔥🔥
.Welcome to the Renaissance!
I have a list of songs to check out of all styles. Obviously this is no where near everything but gives you places to start. 🖤

The thing I love about Ren is his perfection of imperfection😊
Your going to love Ren every song is different a lyrical genius worth diving in. ✌️♥️🏴
Good place to start. Take your time. renegades will flock to a solid reaction channel.
While back he is in a band called Big Push, worth a listen too. Money Game part 1 to 3 worth a watch. He is a big one take manufacture of vids this one 4 takes audio and one take filming. Jenyy and screech trilogy also a watch.
Oh yah he is self taught piano guitar
The other way around 😋😁… 4 takes vid and the audio is straight from 1 of the 4 takes.. most of the vid is also only from 1 take, with some cuts from other versions… they could only film 4 takes.. so could not go on filming until they had the perfect take
He was 32 when this was released.
He turns 34 next week (29/03/24)
You have found the doorway to a very deep rabbit hole. Ren has a massive catalog of fascinating performances with an incredible variety of genres.
For Hi Ren, I love the consistency of using so many ways to distinguish the voices: lighting, posture, aggression vs passivity in voice and guitar playing, literally
everything showing two distinct and separate voices. Another important detail is this is a live one take. He has a particular taste for doing single takes or
minimal breaks, only when absolutely necessary.
He was misdiagnosed for about
7 years and finally was found to have Lyme's disease, from a tick bite, along with auto immunity issues.
The producer at Sony (and Sony) were pretty decent because they let him have the masters of what he’d done when forced to quit , which was a generous act.
i may have misinterpreted previous a previous reporting that attached The Big Push at the time @@supertuscans9512
Yes, I was mistaken by a separate comment in another reaction that misinformed me. I should have stuck to Ren's words directly lol@@rebeccaburnell9319
He said, having spent so much time with a song production, when he watches reactors hear it for the 1st time and it's like finally he can hear it as close to the 1st time as possible
He's a good ladd
No copyright strikes with Ren!!
You can play the video with no breaks or modification.
For me Hi Ren was the very first time I've seen a music video and thought "oh, this is what art is" I've never fully understood art but I understand this amazing video!
Oh yeah! You want more Ren. 👍💕🦇
Great reaction, man! “What is happening?”-definitely something said often when listening to his body of work!
He’s 33 years old.
I implore you, watch Ren. A once in a generation talent. You are going to be blown away.. the rabbit hole is extremely deep. Buckle up, tightly.
Damn I just went to go see if there was more but this was only 4 hours ago hahaha. I loved your breakdown!
With Ren you are in for a treat. Cheeky, insightful, challenging and breathtakingly beautiful - never, ever dull.
Thank you! I think I do have to look back at this to understand the twist. I do appreciate your support :)
@@TheMuserResolute sorry for the confusion; I meant the twist in the Tales of Jenny and Screech, which many are suggesting as your next Ren reaction. 🙂

I’m here for REN. All day everyday. Great reaction, looking forward to many more.
By the way he is a fully independent artist so there are no copyright claims because he is supporting reaction videos
you remind me of chris liepe, that understanding of music thing, your gonna fkn love ren bro
So glad you are finally checking out Ren!! ❤❤❤
I’m so surprised it took you so long to find Ren!! He’s a fan of NF so I’m sure you’re gonna love all his work!! He’s an awesome rapper and singer who can do any genre, so you’re in for a treat going down this rabbit hole!!

Welcome to the RENaissance. I hope you decide to take the trip down the rabbit hole. The RENegades will lead you down the path…. There are some songs with more than one version and some that need to be heard in order. Enjoy the ride. The Tales of Jenny and Screech you will love.
Wait till you watch Money Game 3 it’s like watching a 2 hour movie in 9 minutes. This young man doesn’t just break the 4th wall he smashes it.
Also, if you ever have copyright issues with any of his content let us, the renegades, know and we can get in touch with someone who can clear that for you 💜💜
I would suggest Chalk outlines next. Then you can hear his singing voice.Sick boy is also a favourite of mine.
Chaulk Outlines - more singing type
Suic!de - more produced, with a poem at the end
Money Game part 3 - all 3 parts are great but part 3 is amazing.
Their will be studys done on ren ... he's so versatile, ska reggae rock ect
You can show the videos of Ren. He’s supportive & happy to have more people find him.
Few suggestions:
Trilogy (in full) of Tale of Jenny and Screech (and violet). Has to be seen as one piece for maximum effect.
Chalk outlines (duet w Chinchilla)
The hunger
Seven Sins
Suicide
Money Game 1,2,3
Enjoy
Ren will be 34 next week. He has spent years dealing with health issues. He is a truly phenomenal musician. Self-taught on guitar, piano and several other instruments. Subbed for more Ren. The Tales of Jenny, Screech and Violet will also blow your mind 💜💜
Another long, captivating video is the tales of Jenny and Screech. An amazing story telling song with just him and a guitar.
please please go down the Ren rabbit hole, you will get hooked from so many styles of music all great, i will subscribe to see !!
Ren loves and respects the reactors ! Please continue down the very vast and deep Ren rabbit hole
The oohs are the haunting. Much love ❤️ Sue
Glad you found Ren and great reaction! I will definitely be back and subbed!
Yes.. more Ren.. He'll be your new fave, like everyone else. Not just for his music ability, but for his story, his character and work ethic. Just a good solid dude
A common question is "does he cover any other genre? If so, which?"
.
Answer.
"Yes.... Name one"
.
He's coined the phrase "Barcode" for his own style of poetic storytelling.
Plus....
Reggae
Rock
Soul
Jazz
Rap. (That's *RAP* ! Various styles)
Instrumentals.
.
And I'm probably missing something.
.
Plus he directs, produces, mixes...
.
Top tip.
.
You'll see various "Part 2, Part 3" pieces.
They are multi-part, and worth watching in order for true context (youd be surprised how many don't)
(Money game springs to mind.... That's a "banger")
.
Lyrics... Are often in the comments section and can be useful on a second screen ( *fast* rapping!)
I want to add...do NOT read the lyrics to Jenny and Screeches Tale (full) before watching...it's another must watch. But, all of his videos are a must watch. He's absolutely incredible.
Bardcore I think you mean but yea great comment.
no worries about copyright, you can play Ren's videos
New sub. Fantastic reaction. Ren is about to take you on a journey. Red pill blue pill moment. Go on be brave
