I feel you. My father died in 2015. But my parents divorced when I was just a year old. My mother remarried and had two more children. I was raised by an abusive stepfather, who hated children, even his own. And like you, we were good kids, and it was his loss. The best thing to come out of his marriage to my mother, my only sister, died in 2020 from Covid. I have nothing to do with him as an adult.
