This is my playthrough/quick comparison showcase of Goku turns Super Saiyan for the first time in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Dragon Ball FighterZ and Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot
I recorded all the scenes and then edited the raw footage in a synthetic and original sequence to show a comparison video game adaptation of the Dragon Ball Z series. Regarding the story, Kakarot is the best by far. You may like its gameplay more or less, but that game is the best way to relive Dragon Ball Z moments in a video game.

DBZ Kakarot is a wonderful game, not perfect obviously, but a really good DBZ game

Kakarot was the best honestly, compared to the older games they didn't really build it up looking back at it now
That's because kakorot is a single player story mode while for example dbfz is a fast-paced online fighting game
I mean it is a 2021 game so they would have lots of budget for it

@@JirenSensei2.0 Basically when freida aims at goku, piccolo quickly acted in time and pushes goku out of the way, getting shot in the end by freiza's laser beam. He didn't died from it yet, he went unconscious until dende healed him on earth.
Is only in the anime, in the manga frieza just kill piccolo

Kakarot looks like the best one, from I like the slight new add-ons to the scene like Krillins armor cracking when he dies and a more detailed view of gravel floating and the sea boiling across namek during goku's transformation.

That scene in Kakarot History of Trunks DLC where Future Gohan gave his all against the androids and eventually died. Dude that shit (plus the fact you had to play at literally 0% ki) made me cry
Xenoverse 1 hit different back then, the transformation (albeit animation was lacking, even more than XV2) was hype AF. But nothing, i say, nothing Topples Kakarot, the buildup, the animation, the soundtrack. Just like i remembered it when i watched DBZ as a kid.
Even with the DBZ Kakarot being better in the way it shows the scene, I still like the DBFZ animation more than others

These are good but for me dragon ball Budokai really captured the same emotional feel as the anime did, especially with the sound track in the cutscenes really set it off
To be honest I think burst limit had the best voice acting
Kakarot is more story based, from what I can see, so it has better scenes. But all games still did well.

Dbz kakarot is easily the best, you coulf actually feel the atmosphere and the animation is mad good, while in xenoverse 2 it was bland and in dbfz the clothes didn’t even get damaged
DBZ Kakarot is by far to experience and relive the original story. It's also the best, graphically speaking, to represent the Z series. FighterZ is better for Super, the animations are absolutely amazing

The scene in Fighterz with Goku in full uniform always makes it look as though soon as Goku first met Frieza he instantly took out Krillin. 😅
Nothing tops how the original Funimation episode "Transformed At Last" made the Super Saiyan epic and unforgettable. To me, the games still haven't quite perfected it yet.
Less white screens would help lol
Maybe seeing the actually transformation take place like the episode showed would be good as well

@@RevenantZavier I hate that so much, like they gave spectacular animation in Kakarot but all the iconic moments are brushed over with white screens and flashes, the game could've been perfect but alas we in the Dragonball community are asking for too much I guess
Dbx2 sadly didnt do the zoom to his eyes would have been satisfying if they all zoomed in in a row

nice collection. I don't know why but I never played any of the Japanese version of the game. I only play the English dub. Now I want to go back and replay them all. lol Do you collect figures too? They are nice to have.

The one in Kakarot was obviously the best, but honestly considering the fact that its from a story focused game compared to the one FighterZ which had to be shortened down and match the visual styleof the game I apppreciate the FighterZ one more. Makes more sense that the one in Kakarot didn't have those same restrictions.

Frieza was hit by a huge spirit bomb which drained his energy so much.. I think Goku SSJ was stronger than him because of this. Otherwise, I suppose Frieza and SSJ Goku are on the same level.
No, Frieza was holding back always at that time he unleashed his full power after Goku transformed into Super Saiyan and yet Goku was severely superior

Massively incorrect. Goku is way way way way stronger in SSJ than 100% full power Frieza even if Frieza was only capable of using a fifth of his power. Which was shown by Goku destroying Frieza with barely any effort. Also by your own logic Goku would also be weakened when going super Saiyan because pre-spirit bomb Goku was getting his ass handed to him
@@PencilPenisParker thank you for explanation. I did not think about the Kaioken x20 that drained so much energy of Goku, too. And Frieza almost killed Goku in his base form. My bad about thinking that they were on the same level with each other at full power.

@@Ewek__k If you mean graphic, the xenoverse 1 has more light reflecting mesh on the character which kinda blinding. If you mean by game, there is a difference between frieza's cutscene in 1 and 2. Heck both game has the same type of game engine.

Personalmente me gusta más el diseño y estética de Xenoverse, pero obviamente en cuanto preparación del momento y conclusión de este gana el Kakarot, pues literalmente era en esas partes en las que tenía que brillar, en cambio tanto el Figter Z como en el Xenoverse, son más dinámicas ya que no se puede cortar tanto el ritmo, (esto último notandose mucho más en Figther z

I have a hard time taking the Japanese voices seriously especially when Goku gets angry. 😂 He just sounds like a little kid. The epicness of his first time going SS just loses intensity when it's his Japanese voice.

I feel the kakarot was the most accurate before and after but I just did not get the feeling while he was transforming, it felt like he knew exactly what he was doing and transformed purposely and without the emotion

I just recently played Legacy of Goku (phone emulator), watching Goku go SSJ in it tbh brought me back to the days when I originally played it on GBA as a kid.
and maaaaaan it's kind of crazy how far that scene has come. Kakarot is my favorite definitely, but I did love Xenoverse for handling it the way they did. it almost felt like Xenoverse is the "Kai" version of video games in a way. I'd love to see a "comparison throughout the years" kind of thing when it comes to iconic scenes in DBZ games. Gohan going SSJ2, any fusion, Goku, Vegeta, and kid Trunks' first SSJ transformation etc.
Took me a bit to notice what felt wrong for the xenoverse version. The glossy stuff isn't there

Despite everything Piccolo getting mortally injured and Krillin dying, Goku still was merciful with Frieza during the entire fight as he could've killed him from the beginning.
