If you want to reset the name, I'm pretty sure deleting the name then pressing "OK" will set it as the Pokémon's original name and change when it evolves.

Kingler's Move set is better than solar beam because it takes the same time to fill up as that 5 bar 25 . 5 x 25 is 125 damage so Kingler's moveset does more 5 more damage than solar beam. ALSO dig with 3 bars ( 70 x 3 ) does 210 damage!!
Not sure if you're aware, but if you rename your Evees to Sparky, Pyro, or Rainer it will give you Jolteon, Flareon, or Vaporeon respectively. Kinda takes some of the fun away for me personally. But if you're looking for a specific one it helps

Movesets are entirely random from my experience, and I am a serious player. You have I believe a 1 in 6 chance for movesets for most pokemon, meaning you will end up with 1 of 6 Movesets. I ended up evolving a high IV Magikarp only to get Bite and the dreaded Twister, so I had to farm more karp candies and I evolved another and got lucky with a better moveset. I would also like to note that Twister isn't useless entirely, level it up and use that Gyrados to defend gyms, he will spam twister constantly, but for attacking it is horrible.
Mystic, it only takes a few minutes to learn type matchups. Given you are level 27, I think you should know all the common ones by now, it makes battling so much faster and you waste fewer potions/items. Rock does almost 2x damage on Charizard (Flying + Fire double weakness to rock) if done with STAB (Same type attack bonus, eg a rock type 'mon using a rock-type attack). Obviously water is also a decent matchup. Grass does 1.56x damage on water if done with STAB. Same with Electric moves. The benefit of using grass is that it takes a reduced 0.8x damage when hit with water moves. Ice does almost 2X damage on Dragonite (Flying and Dragon double weakness to Ice moves) with STAB. Other good matchup is Fairy, it does 1.56x STAB damage to dragons, and only takes 0.8x damage against dragon-type moves. Just be wary of steel wing, it is super effective against both Ice and Fairy type pokemon. Taking advantage of types also takes guesswork out of using moves. Ie don't bother using ground moves on a flying pokemon, it does 0.8x damage. Hint: Vaporeons with water pulse should be gym defenders. It does more damage per second that way as CPU doesn't attack as fast as a human so long charged moves take longer to hit. If you are attacking with a pokemon that has water gun and water pulse. it's actually faster to just use water gun because the water pulse animation takes a while and doesn't do much damage.

When you change the name.. Delete it all and press OK and it puts it back to normal and will change when u evolve it.

I have about 20 Hypnos. In London there are more Drowzees then Magikarps and Pidgeys, thats so weird.

Once you evolve, just edit the name, delete it, and press ok and then you will get the actual name of the pokemon back.
For the nicknames, if you were to delete the whole name (so the slot is blank), just press okay and it will return it to normal.
