Everything you said. You don't need the subtitles to get the full force of that song hitting you. Her superpower is carrying emotion like that in her singing. She is the song. It literally comes right out of her, and like you pointed out, she's about to cry in it. As pure and honest as it gets. LiSA is amazing. You should check out her other First Takes - they're all amazing. There's some concert footage of her out there too. She's not kidding when she says she sang it like she would at a show.
This is a song for mourning. It's a soul crying out in loss, and LiSA embodies it well.
Anyone who is featured on The First Take bring their vocal A-Game. This particular Video session clearly demonstrates LiSA is truly an amazing vocal talent.
