    Hey! Great video just wanted to tell you About the rice polish, you’re meant to completely dissolve it in your hands, it turns into a foam, it isn’t meant to be gritty at all.

    • @BrensBoutique
      @BrensBoutique  5 років тому +1

      Thank you for this! I do know this and tried to demonstrate that in the video and in the text so I definitely misspoke if I said it was gritty. Sorry for any misunderstanding! I'll try to clarify- I meant to say that the original was too harsh for my skin (skin felt 'scratched' or irritated after cleansing- the papaya extract maybe? Not sure- but not from the application) but the gentle version was fine. My skin felt nice after cleansing with the gentle version. Hope this makes sense. I appreciate you pointing this out as I would never want to mislead anyone!! Sorry this reply is so late. I've been down and out with the flu the last few weeks and haven't been online. Thank you so much for watching!!!😊❤️Bren~

    Hi Bren, Thanks for such a detailed review! Thanks for your tip on the ageless eye cream and milliia as I tend to get those as well. PS - Argan oil is a major culprit for my skin and millia. I just got a set (from QVC) that included this product, and tried this morning….already making my eyes burn, so a „no go“ anyway. Will stick with the White Peony eye cream. Loved your tip on blending in the Camilla oil with other products! Yes I too have dry sensitive skin, and had „issues“ with some of the Tatcha products. For me, it was as follows: The oil cleanser (burning eyes, itchy red skin), the violet C serum (burning itching - had to wash it off), Kusu lip balm (gave me a big sore on my upper lip), Indigo face Cream (itching and then horrible break out after two days use). That being said, I STILL use and enjoy the following: Tatcha skin care regime and DO love most of their products…Here‘s what I use with zero irritation and good results: Ageless Renewal Moisturizer, White peony eye cream, Gentle RIce Polish, The Essence, The Silk Canvas - balm alone, and last but not least the Camilla oil - winter only for extra moisturizer. I also use this product on my nails/cuticles. Last but not least, LOVE the Indigo body butter…as a special treat since it is $48/jar. For make up removal for sensitive skin my go to is Beekman facial cleansing wipes in unscented. Zero irritation, and removes waterproof mascara. Also slightly polishes your skin. Hope that is good info for you and other followers.

    Hi, Bren! I appreciate your candid opinion. If anyone takes exception with what you're saying, they need to get over it. We're all entitled to our opinion and yours most certainly is spoken from experience. This is not just informative and educational, but also very much appreciated. As you know, I am very particular about what I buy, so I very much appreciate that your opinion can save someone with issues similar to yours some money. Yup, “fragrance,” in general, is very problematic, natural or not. I have been researching for weeks on what to use on my skin and I’m so lost. Everyone uses fragrance. I have dehydrated skin that has aged 15+ years in the last two years due to stress. I’d love any tips, especially your favorite k-beauty brands.

      I hear you, Jennifer! The struggle is real. I'll happily share some of my product faves. Just remember that we're all different so what works for me might not work for you (you already know this, I'm sure)! With that said, here's a few products I often repurchase and have had the best luck with as far as getting actual results as well as no adverse reactions (this isn't everything I use but these are what I reach for most frequently. I don't use all of these every day because I do a lot of alternating in my skincare routine):
      I'm From Rice Toner (K-Beauty)- HG (holy grail)
      Missha First Treatment Essence (K-Beauty)- HG
      CosRx Snail 96 Mucin (K-Beauty)- HG
      Rohto Mentholatum Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium Lotion (gold bottle- hyaluronic acid plus urea to lock in moisture and keep skin thoroughly hydrated) (J-Beauty)- HG
      Pyunkang Yul Moisture Ampoule (K-Beauty)
      The Ordinary Matrixyl 10% + HA- new HG
      BIOLOGIQUE RECHERCHE LOTION P50 V "1970" (for sensitive skin)- HG
      Stratia Liquid Gold serum (when my skin barrier feels compromised)- HG
      Sunday Riley Good Genes + Luna Retinol Sleeping Night Oil- HG
      Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant (I only use 1x/week)- HG
      DRUNK ELEPHANT
      Protini™ Polypeptide Moisturizer (this has a more gel like texture but has proved very moisturizing for me- really loving it for summer & my skin just drinks it up)
      Happy to answer any questions you have and help any way I can! My skin is very happy lately and with my current routine along with some dietary changes the redness is mostly gone! Happy skin days ahead! Hope this helps!! Have a great week!! :) xoxo

    Sadly, I had to return the oil cleanser and the peony eye cream. It made my skin itch so bad and gave me hive like bumps. I enjoy the deep cleanse facial wash and the gentle rice polisher. But after I use it up I will not purchase again. Ok maybe the dewy skin cream. That’s about it. That cream has been the best for my dry skin. Love it. Oh and that lip balm is the bomb. @BrensBoutique  4 роки тому +1

      Hey Debbie! My favorite cleanser overall is the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil. I've been using it for more than 20 years and always go back to it. It is $28 but it lasts FOREVER!! I find it both nourishing and hydrating and it doesn't leave a greasy feeling on my skin after cleansing (I always follow up with a water based cleanser anyway as I double cleanse). I recommend buying the smaller size and trying it out before dropping the $28. I believe Target and Ulta sell it and I think both sell the smaller size too! $28 isn't cheap but it is a great cleanser and you don't need much and it lasts a very long time. Hope this helps! :)

    Thank you so much for the helpful video! I've been looking at some Tatcha products for my Mom who also has dry and sensitive skin. I really recommend the website called COSDNA if you have any sensitivities to skincare products or makeup!! It's been a real life saver for me! You just have to copy/paste the full list of ingredients for any product, and it analyzes each ingredient. It then tells you the function of each ingredient and also the level of safety, chance of irritation, and how comedogenic each item is on a scale from 1 to 5 (and why). I personally can't live without it lol

    • @BrensBoutique
      @BrensBoutique  3 роки тому

      Yay! I love COSDNA and use it frequently! I also can't live without it with this sensitive skin of mine. I personally am not a big fan of Tatcha but I know many who just love it. Just don't think the price tag warrants what you get but that's just my opinion!🙃Has your mom ever tried Sulwhasoo? It is EXPENSIVE but...AMAZING! I'm almost 50 and that's one of my favorite brands ever. I love and use the ginseng line but here the other lines they have are also wonderful. If Sulwhasoo fits her budget and she's not sensitive to scent in her skincare I would recommend that. It's the only skincare line with fragrance that doesn't make my skin red and awful but actually makes it much better. Not sure why that is. Fragrance usually really bothers my skin but not the Sulwhasoo. Maybe she could order a few samples to try some other brands. Cerave has worked well for me in the past but not enough moisture for me now. Hope you find something that works beautifully for your mom and something she loves!!!😊🥰

      the Avene Antirougeurs Day Redness-Relief Soothing Cream! All of these bring some relief. If you try any of these please let me know if they work for you. Have you found anything that has worked really well for you? Thank you for watching!!😊💙Bren~

      Hi Anastasiia and welcome to the family! I've never tried anything from Pixi but will certainly look into the products. Sensitive skin poses some interesting issues for us and I am very selective with my skincare. With that said, I too love K-Beauty and have had much luck with Korean and Japanese skincare, for the most part. Hada Labo usually works very well for me. I have a video in the works with all my k-beauty and J-beauty skincare and makeup. Hoping to get that out to you all very soon! Thanks for watching and have a beautiful weekend!!😘💕Bren~

      K-Beauty is an abbreviation, short for Korean Beauty! J-Beauty is an abbreviation and is short for Japanese Beauty! I discovered both on a trip to Korea 3 years ago! Hope this helps!💕

    I have similar skin type and recently have started using Tatcha products. I have all the products you have minus the sunscreen. I had a reaction to the ageless enriching renewal cream. If I used the cream after 3 days i will start to have blotchy redness that is very itchy. It will also cause me to breakout. It took me a while to figure out what product was causing the reaction, but i am able to use all my other Tatcha products perfectly fine.

      Hi Natasha! Sorry to hear you had a reaction as well. There are still a few products I'm able to use and enjoy from Tatcha but sadly those original offenders are still out. I've tried reintroducing them back into my routine individually but my skin just doesn't like them. I do think Tatcha works really well for some! Glad to know you are having positive results from the other products! Thanks so much for watching. Hope you have a wonderful week! :)

    There are only natural fragrances, no added fragrance

      That is correct, these products are free from parabens, SYNTHETIC fragrances, mineral oil, sulfate detergents, phthalates, urea, DEA, TEA, etc. However, some do contain botanicals which are known allergens, and there is potential for people to develop an allergic reaction. As stated in this video, I'm not 100% sure what caused the adverse reaction I had to the products mentioned but suspect the botanicals. I have very sensitive, reactive skin as was also mentioned in the video. Thank you for watching. Hope you're having a beautiful week!💙Bren~
