This is a very detailed over-the-shoulder look at how I use Adobe Animate to sketch, design, draw, setup, and animate a car for a scene for an original short animation! I show my entire process of how I achieve that "2.5D" effect using simple vector shapes, classic tweens, motion tweens, easing, masks, before exporting and adding to my Premiere Pro project timeline.

I also use Adobe Animate (Flash) for over 20 years. I also worked in the production of games and children's TV shows. I believe this is the simplest and most logical program with great capabilities.
Priceless tutorial. Loved every second of. On a side note, I bet you already knew, but I recently discovered that if you double click on the playhead, it makes a quick selection of all the frames down the row. Much easier than click and drag.

Wow, Chris! I learned a lot from this video. I used Flash many years ago, so the keyframes and timeline look familiar to me, but the drawing tools look so much better. I love how you can bend paths and manipulate the corners and edges - you make it look easy!

@@keyframer.Nice ! Haha Allthough finally I went into another career ( Science journalism) I still love to draw and animate. I now take part in Character Animator's beta test group at Animal/Slack. (Incl. David Simons, Dave Werner,EricaSchisler etc. ) I retired 2 years ago so I have a bit more time to play !
I wish adobe had onion skin of other symbols when u enter another layer if that makes sense

Do u have like an Adobe for dummies kind of video? I've never used Adobe in my life and I really like what I see that all the Adobe softwares can do ( I have a subscription for everything they offer) but I have no idea what I'm doing. Every video that I've seen doesn't go in to depth or explain where the tools r or what they really do and that's what I need. I have some ideas about some animated videos I want to do but agaian, I have no idea where to even begin to draw them. If u do have a video for beginners please let me know. Thx
