  • ⚡️SHIN SPLINTS⚡️
Ever experienced pain along the shin?!
Maybe the inside of the ankle?!
    Let me know below👇
TRY THEM • SAVE THEM • SHARE THEM!
Technically, when the inside of the ankle/shin flares up, this is true shin splints. Better known as... Posterior Tibialis Tendonitis 🔥
But shin splints can also be referred to as the mini stress fractures along the tibia or even anterior compartment syndrome from increased pressure within the muscles along the front of the shin.
Building the muscles & control around the foot, ankle & hips can really help to relieve that pressure & pain.
AND if you’re a runner, I’d definitely recommend getting that form assessed 😉👊
Were you sent here by me?☺️
    Sent by another therapist?🙏😁
    Ice? 🧐
    Rest? 😬
    Foam roll? 🤔
    Ultrasound? 👀
    What’s best??? 🤷‍♀️
It is important to begin addressing the possible cause of why the posterior tibilais (muscle along the inside of the ankle down to the foot) developed the tendonitis, or why the pressure along the front of the tibia caused compartment syndrome or stress fractures.
Let me know how these exercises feel for you!
I especially challenge you to that last one 😉
Let me know if you can do it (controlled of course!) and tag me in your story if you get it 🙌
