    I had crazy intercostal nerve pain from surgery. Years of trying different meds did nothing. I had my nerves electrocuted through my spine(burned like hell) and it had immediate results. Only several years later is it starting to come back but not nearly as intense. Just felt the need to share.

    If someone is having top surgery ftm - would it be the 4th nerve you would save to keep sensation to the nipple?

    Would an intercostal nerve be painful to the touch and reproduce that pain with opposite head side bend?

  • @jamessimpson439
    @jamessimpson439 8 років тому +1

    How many of the intercostal nerves have collateral branches? 1st to 6th? 3rd to 6th? All of them? I'm finding this very hard to find out, help would be greatly appreciated :)

      May I humbly suggest only an idea to you, helping you, or not, for looking for a physician:
      Pain can be learned. It might be that there is no longer signals from the body but the brain has learned that pain and need - what from which kind of an expert ? - to forget.
      It may happen now in the brain: neuro-science of pain centers i mean.
      This could be then a totally different approach for you seeking a relief.
      Do you know that already, pardon me..
      Hope heartily your pain could be at least smoothed down
      All the best

    So all IC nerves are somatic? I can't find the answer to this question. There is a sympathetic pathway that leaves a paravert ganglion and goes back to the ventral and dorsal rami.... so are those also intercostal nerves? Why is this answer so hard to find, I can't be the first person to ask about this?

    • @kyleedwards8050
      @kyleedwards8050 4 роки тому

      The grey rami communications will only travel within the nerve sheath towards its effector tissues, so the name wouldn't change to intercostal.
