  • I get an invite to visit an event that bring together hobbyists involved in amateur microwave radio communication as well as amateur television. I thought it would be useful to get to know a little more about the two niche areas of amateur radio. Thanks to everyone who welcomed me, thanks to John Cariss G7ACD for the QO-100 demo and the wonderful Eaton Manor estate.

I find the microwave folks to be very friendly an always willing to give advice and help Carl but to be honest qo100 is as far as I’ve gone .I’m seriously thinking about putting a station on 23cm as it’s a great band for aircraft scatter over good distances.73 Chris Gm4zji

Carl, thank you for bring to light a very interesting two areas of our hobby, I know the amateur tv was around for awhile but not much talked about, and microwave communications seems tobe relatively new and a very interesting and new means for communication. I think that with all the new technological developments that we see today it would be quite easy to set up amateur tv and especially microwave communications.Thank you for sharing, Carl, very enjoyable and informative.,

Thank you for the video. Watching I felt like a child showing up with an "Easy Bake Oven" at Chef's School. I have been looking at transverters and they are not THAT expensive. 1296 area would be my starter point with a yagi. But then again, once you get a hook in you, you are hooked. 73!!! de KE5ES
