2 years later, this is still my favorite MSQC quilting tutorial. I adore Jenny!! I haven't made Boho Blooms yet, but I love watching the tutorial and fully intend to make this pattern. 😍
These blocks remind me of Christmas cactus blooms. I have had the greys, yellows and whites for the blocks with a light green background for over a year and it's finally time to start working on it for my guest room bed. Can't wait to get started.
The blocks remind me of those paper lanterns that were popular in the day. I love the quilt with bold and light variation of prints. Exquisitely done. 👍🧵🌟
What a great idea! I need some fabric with metallic gold and Christmas prints, I think Robert Kaufman has some nice ones. I'll have to see if there's any layer cakes I like. It's definitely time to start Christmas projects.
I had such a wonderful time in your shops. Now the hard part will be waiting for my goodies to be shipped home. Your customer service was very good. I enjoyed my visit. Thank you. Mary Hogue
Its sunday and I have been saving up watching my quilt vids for today. I used to watch them all as they air but then I would have nothing to watch on Sunday. Im super excited and happy to see my girls again. Its a great start to my week. The fabric line is very interesting in this quilt pattern. Really pops on that backing.
I'm having a real MSQC "What-if" moment with this block! I think it'd look so good with the colors reversed with the background and I'd love to see that 😍
Another gorgeous MSQC quilt that's perfect for Layer Cakes. I love when there's no waste. These remind me of Asian lanterns, so a fabric line that includes a variety of Asian prints would look terrific in this pattern. Thanks Jenny, for sharing your endless creativity and your talents!! ~Diana K.
Ha. I just received my diagonal tape yesterday. If YOU use it, it’s smart. I think I’ll make this with a Kaffe layer cake I don’t know what to do with. Thank you for another wonderful tutorial. We appreciate you!
Just taking a few minutes out of my storm prep for Ida to catch my Friday quilting fix with Jenny. Look forward to this every week. Thank you Jenny !!!!
No, Jenny, you didn’t lie about the waste. To lie is an intent to deceive (you would never do that). You were MISTAKEN, and we all do that. I love the quilt.
Pretty quilt. I really like the 2" strip border with all the same fabrics and the 2" solid border that you sewed before you added the 6" border. It really added to the quilt. Thanks MSQC for another great design!
I can see this with bright colors and a black background. Not a fan of snowballing (I’m that kind of lazy lol), but I might have to try this. Very pretty! Thank you Jenny and MSQC!
I LOVE this quilt! I have a couple of Layer Cakes burning a hole in my pocket 😆 This pattern will be my next quilt. I'm an Artist, so this (my) quilt will be on the Artsy side. I can't wait to get started, but first I've got to finish the 2 quilts on my (huge) design wall. Thanks Jenny, I've been waiting for the perfect pattern. MSQC ROCKS! Sacramento, California 😎
Love the fabric you used! Love the quilt pattern. Remove piece between center and end piece..make pumpkins. Fall, christmas and spring pattern. Super excited. Thank you so much for sharing!!⚘⚘❤⚘⚘
I use pins to point to the side that needs sewing. I highly recommend this. Love this pattern and agree it would look great with Christmas fabric. I might put a small sash between the columns. Thanks for sharing this!!
Jenny, Thank you so much for another inspirational block and quilt. As always, I keep learning from you as you design and sew for every tutorial. Lovely fabric and pattern. This is definitely my next quilt!!!
Love this block! I was thinking about my big pile of 10” squares that I cut from my scraps! I also have a gorgeous layer cake from a Christmas line that I have been waiting to use. I get the feeling this is one of those quilts that will look great in a variety of ways! I also wanted to say that I like the new way y’all are doing the supply list! Happy quilting! 🧵
By looking at the block, I have the impression it could be also done as a sort of "disappearing square in a square". It would be easier and avoid all snowballing, i.e. also completely no-waste
I think you can start from a "square in a square" (the one also known as "diamond in a square") cut it in five stripes (a wider central one and 2 smaller on each side of the wide one) and recombine them to form Joan's block.
This is awesome. I think I will make this using the Merry and Bright fabric and gift it to one of my sisters for Christmas. Thank you for this darling pattern. Love you Jenny!

I really like the camera looking over your shoulder! Very helpful!
This is a unique block and as usual you break it down to be so easy!! Japanese paper lanterns is what I think of. Very pretty 🙂
Yes! Wouldn’t it be pretty in Asian-inspired prints or batiks? Love your idea!
I just started this quilt two days ago, can’t wait to see the finished product…..
i love watching you Jenny because you are left handed the same as me.
I'm having a real MSQC "What-if" moment with this block! I think it'd look so good with the colors reversed with the background and I'd love to see that 😍

I like this block. I do not like snowballs and the only no waste was on the layer cake. Thanks for another great tutorial.
Oh Jenny, I love this Quilt!!! ❤️🥰❤️
I like it when you hold the block up to the quilt to show how it fits into the design. Thanks
Just taking a few minutes out of my storm prep for Ida to catch my Friday quilting fix with Jenny. Look forward to this every week. Thank you Jenny !!!!

This would be so cute scrappy or Christmas fabrics.
Very pretty! Love the pieced boarder.
No, Jenny, you didn’t lie about the waste. To lie is an intent to deceive (you would never do that). You were MISTAKEN, and we all do that. I love the quilt.

Reminds me wrapped candies
Very pretty fabric!

This is a winner! I see up-close Baguette diamond rings....wonderful fabric. On my list of to-dos at no 38!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 35 of which come from MSQC.
I love the fabric and the pattern looks easy and quick. Your quilt is gorgeous. Tfs. 👏🏻💕👏🏻
Love it!
You make this look so easy, love it!
Thank you for another versatile and interesting quilt pattern!
Love it Jenny, thank you x
This is so pretty! Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
Great idea for layer cakes. You could take the light fabrics you didn't use and pair them with a dark background for a table runner.
By looking at the block, I have the impression it could be also done as a sort of "disappearing square in a square". It would be easier and avoid all snowballing, i.e. also completely no-waste
I like the idea of no waste. Cannot find or imagine the block you refer to, but would love to see it.
I think you can start from a "square in a square" (the one also known as "diamond in a square") cut it in five stripes (a wider central one and 2 smaller on each side of the wide one) and recombine them to form Joan's block.
@@augustopipone360 Thank you so much!! I get the idea now.
@@augustopipone360 I love the look of this quilt but would never make it because of all the snowballs and waste, I am going to try your suggestion.
I just notices I also recombined Jenny Doan into "Joan"... Sorry, Jenny!
Great pattern
I think it would look great as a border (but a small version with 5inch as a basis) when you put them all in the same orientation
I love it.
Thanks 🙏🏼
Gratidão. Muito boa explicação. Sucesso sempre
Reminds me of Chinese lanterns, def need oriental fabrics xx
This is awesome. I think I will make this using the Merry and Bright fabric and gift it to one of my sisters for Christmas. Thank you for this darling pattern. Love you Jenny!
