For the Geminass, I kind of get why Bandai did what they did. Unicorn, Astray and Wing are always top sellers and make Bandai a ton of money, they’re reliable sources of income. So it makes sense why Bandai would put in time and money to making those models good, because they can reliably guarantee a better return on investment. But the Geminass is a suit from a manga side story that is a bit of a cult classic, not exactly the huge mainstream property like Unicorn, Astray or Wing. Kind of glad you didn't have Varguil on the list lol. I'm not sure what it's msrp was, but I paid significantly more than what the Moon Gundam cost me and it came with a lot less stuff...
@@zethythonix Oh, that explains why it wasn't on the list. Definitely one worth skipping unless you want absolutely everything related to Sazabi like me lmao
I disagree on rick dias 1.5 - yeah, it's a shame we've got only slightly upgraded kit instead of the full revive, BUT it's still 10x better than the original one. Used plastic is much better to work with, it has nicer colors, details are much sharper, articulation is also much better... the only thing I was really dissapointed with were the weapons (come on, we already have better clay bazooka mold from dijeh and hyakushiki revive) and lack of improvments in the head and backpack area. IT was also pretty cheap for a p-bandai
The only thing I like about the Sand color GTO Gouf was how it has normal arms. I was really hoping we were gonna get a 2.0 ish version of the Gouf custom with that level of articulation and detail that came with the origin line.
HG Crossbone got very bad color, unfit stickers and the cloak is an absolute nightmare, other than cheap, I can’t even find a good thing to talk about. Just move on to RG if you don’t want to piss yourself off
Did you (or anyone else in the comments) have trouble with the arms constantly falling off of the Pale Rider Space Type? I haven't seen anyone else mention this problem, but the arms fall off of mine if you just look at it funny.
On the Pale Rider, while I am a fan of the design - it is a sticker ridden mess. Better to just buy a GM 2, paint it blue, mount rey mysterio's head on it. Would look even funnier. (I still have the pale rider on my shelf despite this lol)
I 100% agree with geminias, the overall silhouette looks lovely but the build standard is terrible, arms can't even go past 90 degrees, the back skirt armour is lazy with its ball joint connect which comes off just when I look at it, and the shield...oh god the shield refuses to stay attached, I'm tempted to glue at this point.
@@zethythonix I feel that's done too much by bandai, but at the same time feel they're starting to recognize the popularity of the manga branch of their franchise, like how advance of zeta is getting a lot of love. But given how popular advance of zeta is, I'm baffled so many of their suits are p bandai. Like mg hazel I feel should be a reg release and then I don't mind some of its many variants being p ban, or the woundwort gundam being a p ban...I really want to understand how they go about their decision making
Just want to share my thoughts and experience: Unfortunately for those who enjoy variety, like colour or equipment changes, it's not economically beneficial for Bandai to release them as regular and then have to deal with low sales and surplus problems as a result. They are just not mainstream popular. Which is why those kits moved to PB on quota. Becoming "limited edition" status is bad enough. If you missed the order window, good luck waiting for the next batch (or any at all, sometimes in between years / anniversary runs). There are comments that those are also a result of voting. What voting, and why is it not a global or regional participation from the gunpla community? How severe of an effect, I'm not too sure. But there is always some kind of voting on what kits get released and we can't seem to be involved. You also paid more for any reuse of runners. Usually, you are able to at least swap parts or do alternate builds. On the rare case, you end up having large amount of junk parts, unfit for kitbash/recycling due to them being specifically made for that MS. Stickers that are purposed to "reproduce" the part instead of supplementing. Lack of colour separation when it doesn't make sense - you already provided clear examples, so I would like to add the HGUC Sinanju Stein Unit 1. A new, large detailed mould for the High Beam Rifle, but they couldn't do separation like in the Narrative Unit 2 (cowl and internals). The rest of the kit had great colour separation, so what gives? I've also noticed PB plastics have more injection swirls and are getting weaker - more prone to breaking and looser joints. Parts sometimes have fitting issues on different sides. I have the X2 HGUC too, but skipped it on account of the colour. Real glad that the RG version came out in the end though, and that build was great. I'm worried on how the X0 full cloth will turn out. Seems like PB kits are really hit and miss nowadays. I enjoy the builds, but I think they require a higher skill ceiling to look and perform well.
It’s a real shame for Rick Dias. I really wanted old version and rework on him but nope, need to pay twice as much for slightly upgraded version. I also wanted a mg gelgoog canon but fuck me I guess, paywall on the way
i must be lucky with Geminiass, as my only issue is how poorly the head is, falls off as soon as i turn it. but yeah, its feels so flimsy, and much like you, Geminass was something i dreamed of having and having the older kits, well this was a real meh for me. i missed out on the option parts, but hopefully they do the L.O. Booster.
You know what's worst then kits being P-bandai? Kits that were clearly meant to be standard release but was changed last minute. *cough* MG Gundam MK 5 *cough*
I feel like the worst ones are the sloppy remolds or the cheap recolors like the zakus and Gelgoogs but I think some stuff looks pretty good. Like the MkIII, HG Sniper Custom and Mudrock look pretty nice
Well when talking about paint the model or pbandai, Id choose the latter one. Why would i do that? Because plastic's color cannot be fade or scratched, but paint layer can. I pose my models everyday, thats why i need something really stable and sturdy, so thats why i still choose to buy pbandai even though most of them are just recolor. And please dont mention topcoat. They arent that superior. They still can be scratched.
Old vid man... But man so much buyers remorse here... Not gonna lie I did want the Dryon 3 and the Kirara Gerbera Tetra but hoo boy imma skip it now! Sadly I have the Crossbones and I dont regret them! You know just for collection purpose sakes. Also the F91 from Build Fighters? Man I really wanted it for design alone! But I appreciate the feedback man!
HGUC ZII Travis Kirkland Custom - Clearly one of the laziest P-Bandai releases, as it's merely a recolor of the regular ZII with a huge sticker sheet to give the lower legs fake panel lines and color separation.
@@zethythonix also side note, I guess the reason the pale rider kits are so annoying id because of the two modes. I'm not sure Bandai had a good way to show the exam system. It's still annoying af. Now if they did an MG.... I might buy it tbh.
i think not all gundam model is made for out of the box experience, i mean some of it is made for a builder who paint and do modification. so this review is not valid and bias.
There are two sides for gunpla, clearly you are one the so called “pro paint” side, gunpla is not made out of box? The old ones maybe, but sure the ones after 2012 ain’t

there are some good p bandai rg's, especially the ones that have less or no pre asssembled innerframes, like the rg tallgeese variants, crossbone variants, and the force impulse variants.
Pbandai are mostly why they decide if the kit will flop or not due to their lazyness Btw had been considering dryon III for a while but thanks for telling me it's shit, I still have that f91 new, should just sell it later

Unfortunately, it was taken where it didn't need to be taken in Island Wars.
Plus, I love everything in the 2nd half. One epic fight after another, some of the best gunpla designs I've ever seen, amazing bits of character development, and a very satisfying payoff to the goals that were set in the Nielson Labs arc.
Kind of glad you didn't have Varguil on the list lol. I'm not sure what it's msrp was, but I paid significantly more than what the Moon Gundam cost me and it came with a lot less stuff...
Well I only include what I got and built, so that gunpla was an unknown area for myself
Good points, but my anger was focusing more on the lazy works that I am feeling in general
@@zethythonix fair enough
Great list of what not to waste my money on 😆
Don't worry, I will make a must buy list too
I can display my geminass that have it half body and left arm torn apart
My mostly regret is Amazing Z’gok
I mean the base mold is too old
I hope looking for XM-01 Den'an Zon
Never owned it so didn’t put it
What i hate from P-Bandai is they tend to make extension part or kit like HWS RG Nu p-band. I hate that
Expansion set is sort of understandable if they're good, but for the bad gunplas... bad choices
The clear version of the Earthree Gundam not being on the list is criminal
The only thing I like about the Sand color GTO Gouf was how it has normal arms. I was really hoping we were gonna get a 2.0 ish version of the Gouf custom with that level of articulation and detail that came with the origin line.
Oh i agreed with the Pbandai 00 GNXs... Bad articulation but got them bcs i. Love 00 xD
But GN-X need a rework for sure
What wrong with hg crossbone x3 and black ver abd why you want us to avoid it
HG Crossbone got very bad color, unfit stickers and the cloak is an absolute nightmare, other than cheap, I can’t even find a good thing to talk about. Just move on to RG if you don’t want to piss yourself off
@@zethythonix im actally fine it that and i don't feel anger of hg gemiass i could make display of gemiass being torn apart in space
Mg Gn-X is cool except for the feet.
This video show us why to spend wisely in Pbandai
And I will show you the wiser choices in the next video
I will use age old suggestion for those who always complain about stickers. Just paint the kits.
Yeah, your words worked too but you see, builders got two factions: painters and out-of-box.
I am not painters faction
@@zethythonix I think the correct faction are Experienced & Lazy
It just sounds like you overpaid for a bunch of p bandai kit and take it out on the models.
It’s because I am at somewhere Bandai don’t sell their kits (lol), Aussies will always be forgotten
My love for the Jegan Normal Type as enough for me to buy 4 HGs of it for 28-30 bucks each
Did you (or anyone else in the comments) have trouble with the arms constantly falling off of the Pale Rider Space Type? I haven't seen anyone else mention this problem, but the arms fall off of mine if you just look at it funny.
How fall out is it?
@@zethythonix It's pretty bad. The arms on mine are extremely loose. I'm gonna have to put clear nail polish on the pegs, it's that bad.
On the Pale Rider, while I am a fan of the design - it is a sticker ridden mess. Better to just buy a GM 2, paint it blue, mount rey mysterio's head on it.
Would look even funnier.
(I still have the pale rider on my shelf despite this lol)
i just got pale rider in titans colors. it's not bad
The amount of stickers... I can’t stand it
I 100% agree with geminias, the overall silhouette looks lovely but the build standard is terrible, arms can't even go past 90 degrees, the back skirt armour is lazy with its ball joint connect which comes off just when I look at it, and the shield...oh god the shield refuses to stay attached, I'm tempted to glue at this point.
I almost threw it out of my window when I was shooting this video
@@zethythonix it's utterly shameful! And for a suit so many wings fans have wanted an updated version off for ages! Such a shame
They always judged that manga MS = not one wants it which is completely wrong
@@zethythonix I feel that's done too much by bandai, but at the same time feel they're starting to recognize the popularity of the manga branch of their franchise, like how advance of zeta is getting a lot of love. But given how popular advance of zeta is, I'm baffled so many of their suits are p bandai. Like mg hazel I feel should be a reg release and then I don't mind some of its many variants being p ban, or the woundwort gundam being a p ban...I really want to understand how they go about their decision making
@@SeanyBoy589 they should make some of the manga suits available through regular releases, putting them in p-Bandai is too toxic
Wait, is they making premium rick dias? And wtf it cost tripled than HG Scruzum Dias
The 1.5 version is not too bad TBH (the price), but mainly was the lazy “rework” they were trying to do...
Just want to share my thoughts and experience:
Unfortunately for those who enjoy variety, like colour or equipment changes, it's not economically beneficial for Bandai to release them as regular and then have to deal with low sales and surplus problems as a result.
You have an excellent POV
@@zethythonix Thanks, we can only hope that they keep up with the quality as per their regular releases
@@Kr0zBoNE Making premium things is ok, but at least treat it with premium attitude
Waiting for part 2
It’s a real shame for Rick Dias. I really wanted old version and rework on him but nope, need to pay twice as much for slightly upgraded version. I also wanted a mg gelgoog canon but fuck me I guess, paywall on the way
Fun fact:hg johnny riden zaku is based of hg zaku mariner
I like me some honest reviews
Thanks!
i must be lucky with Geminiass, as my only issue is how poorly the head is, falls off as soon as i turn it. but yeah, its feels so flimsy, and much like you, Geminass was something i dreamed of having and having the older kits, well this was a real meh for me. i missed out on the option parts, but hopefully they do the L.O. Booster.
The fact is, G-Unit is not so random old manga that no one loves, it has a lot of fans and they f*cked it up, very badly
I know this is a P-bandai list but... What is your opinion of the Real Grade Zeong?
Haven’t built one but I will soon
P-Bandai sucks. I wanted to buy a good kit if it’s RG, MG or PG, but those scalpers are just greedy people.
Yes, but unfortunately, once a thing was given a value, humanity shows
I threw away the stickers and decided to paint it instead. I also used Plaplates for some details and all i could say is that it was worth it
I agree with you on all accounts. Basically if there is no new mold, why even bother.
You know what's worst then kits being P-bandai?
Kits that were clearly meant to be standard release but was changed last minute.
*cough* MG Gundam MK 5 *cough*
*cough cough* Gundam Geminass 01
I'm actually mad that the qubeley mk iis were made p bandai, so mad that I bought the 2000 HG kit instead
New is always better, but Bandai is EA nowadays, if you have skills, consider to paint it yourself
I made the mistake of having the RG destiny Gundam as my first gunpla when it first came out.
Me who doesn't have a single P Bandai kit: I see, I see
*Tryon iii has the split mechanics*
Has ball and socket hip joint on it
There will never be an RG Jegan.
Let the fire keep burning and Jegan will rise one day!
I was expecting the rg perfect strike would be here
Well, I only include what I built before, so I never purchased that kit which was why I didn’t include it
I feel like the worst ones are the sloppy remolds or the cheap recolors like the zakus and Gelgoogs but I think some stuff looks pretty good.
I'm still upset the Rick Dias got screwed over as hard as it was.
Me too
I bought the hguc dom troppen unicorn vers. 😢
That’s old
Old vid man...
16:00 your saying it wrong it's not jinx it's g-n-x say the letters not the combined word 😕
Yeah, I will correct my pronunciation in the future videos
@@zethythonix ok ☺️
HGUC ZII Travis Kirkland Custom - Clearly one of the laziest P-Bandai releases, as it's merely a recolor of the regular ZII with a huge sticker sheet to give the lower legs fake panel lines and color separation.
Yeah the M91 was a pain, I wound up just painting everything except the lance sticker
Great choice of repainting it! The M91 is truly Bandai's fault because a lot of new parts were molded in white...
@@zethythonix also side note, I guess the reason the pale rider kits are so annoying id because of the two modes. I'm not sure Bandai had a good way to show the exam system. It's still annoying af. Now if they did an MG.... I might buy it tbh.
@@DocFubar89 if they make it as a MG, I think it would be better
For everyone who asking is the pale rider worth to buy? Yes,but if you really like the design imho
Just skip it or buy aoz kits honestly
@@TheWarDogSquad well said about the Pale Rider part, but honestly TR-6 is almost guilty too if being critical
i don't hg00s2 are that bad but there some good one such as hg 00 gundam and cherdium gundam
MG F90. Not only the kit itself is P-Bandai, you need to buy expansion packs that are also P-Bandai
Yeah, I will talk about it during the MG version
I really hope hg/rg zaku flipper not a p bandai
I just hope to see it one day tbh
In every fuckin single RG kits, RG Zephyranthes and Sinanju with the Expansion Set was the diarrhea corpse to build.
Correct
@@zethythonix If I built those both satanic kits, shoot me down.
Every time when Bandai release a p-bandai HG with MG price👀.
*F bomb activated*
lucky I only got both my qubley for 40usd 😁
i think not all gundam model is made for out of the box experience, i mean some of it is made for a builder who paint and do modification. so this review is not valid and bias.
There are two sides for gunpla, clearly you are one the so called “pro paint” side, gunpla is not made out of box? The old ones maybe, but sure the ones after 2012 ain’t
I hope Bandai really up their engineering game with 50 - 100% newly molded P bandai kits.
Geminass was a huge disappointment for a 2020 kit.
PB shouldn’t exist, I still stand with my side.
But since PB cannot be eliminated, I will just have to keep talking and spreading the message out to let people stand up and talk.
@@zethythonix Normally I would have agreed this 100.00% without any doubts.
If they still want to go on with PB, they should make it more accessible for oversea fans.
But
I am guilty of falling into AOZ rabbit hole and cannot find a way back to non PB gunpla land (yet).
If PB is eliminated, I would be gone too 🥶
Accessible is a good point, but fixing the gunpla problems will be the priority
@@zethythonix For sure. That is why I am expecting Bandai to at least fix some of Seltsam/Tertium’s problems in the upcoming MK-III kit.
@@Simon-hz7jl let’s hope Bandai will show some brains...
Still not as bad as the HG Zaku III Twilight Axis
Agree
Just from watching its model kits review is enough to scare me already

@@zethythonix Yeah its pretty shameless for Bandai to sell that kit imo
Basically all of RG.
there are some good p bandai rg's, especially the ones that have less or no pre asssembled innerframes, like the rg tallgeese variants, crossbone variants, and the force impulse variants.
Pbandai are mostly why they decide if the kit will flop or not due to their lazyness
Btw had been considering dryon III for a while but thanks for telling me it's shit, I still have that f91 new, should just sell it later
M91 should get you some great money because there is no reprinting in the future, you can keep it for memories or sell it out high (lol)
But please don't buy the Dryon III, don't spend $130 to buy a gigantic antenna...
I don't understand this list 'cuz I never bought P-Bandai. :)
Maybe this is good luck for you
wdym? the 00 movie HGs have pretty good articulation although I do agree with the parts articulation. I can feel the rage but to be fair Bandai was never really "being generous", lmao it's all about the money, friend.
True, but I am just angry that they are holding the license and not using it well
thank god I watch your review of the gemiass because I was gonna buy it thanks to your video I'm didn't buy it
