It is totally understandable. If you would visit my country, I would not be happy either if you would only show the bad parts of it. People make stereotypes very fast, and it would make one sided picture of a country, even if there is real big problem.
Even better if they actually tried to solve the problem. How hard can it be to identify those MS13 types and round them up? Seems El Salvador had more decisive leadership 30 years ago.
If it's part of your country's Makeup,it is what it is.Civil unrest and thievery tend to make areas undesirable.Certain areas that were extremely popular at one time, if you gave free air fare there would be few takers.Mexico, Puerto Rica , and Brazil come to mind.
Even if you show the good parts of a country, most people are going to read the travel advisory before they go and base their decision around that. If it's rated a 3 or 4 on safety level then it's probably a no-go.

As a Nova Scotian, I can say with 100% certainty that this is true about Canadian hospitals. Too many people in NS don't even have access to family doctors. If you do have a doctor, you may have to wait several months for your booked appointment.

The reason we like to watch You, Harald, and Bald is that you guys show what real, day to day life is like in different parts of the world. Yeah the more tourist friendly places are nice and they have their place, but it's almost all fake. Tourist attractions tend to be locations with nothing but other tourists, so you don't get to experience the people and their culture, and what you guys do is at least a glimpse into that. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind seeing you go to tourist attractions, but the daily life stuff is extremely interesting. And of course over everything we're here because we like you and your personality. By the way this interview was great, and you should try to have more talks with locals in the future. A mate of mine (Australian) was backpacking in the region years ago El Salvador or Nicaragua cant remember but got rolled on a beach, he was carrying his grandfathers watch who had hidden it throughout his time in WWII Japanese prison camp (Burma railway) and wasnt going to give it to the scumbag so he threw it out into the sea instead - the dude had a pistol pointed at his forehead and pulled the trigger and he thought he was dead blood running down his face, the gun had backfired and the block had blown the perps thumb off and he turned and did a runner, he was standing there in shock and realised he was still alive, still has a mark in the middle of his forehead where the gas burns hit him in the middle of his forehead - after hearing this I made a mental note to cross Central America off the list.

I liked your previous video going to the mercado, it shows more of the real life. We have lived in El Salvador for two years and enjoy the mercados in Metapán and Santa Ana but we don’t spend too much time in San Salvador. We have gone through the legal guidelines and are now temporary residents. There is so much to see and do. The people are generous and hard working. The scenery is so beautiful. One day we will see more of San Salvador than the Wal Mart and PriceSmart. Ten cuidado.

Tim I’m sure it’s hard to find locals willing to be that open and honest, especially on camera. These are videos that I love, which is why I’m such a Fan of Harold’s. Just keep up the great work. Also I’ve noticed quite an improvement in your video quality, I believe your using the same camera as Harold. I’m sure that there’s a learning curve, Also possibly since I watch UA-cam on a 65” tv with Surround sound, which is probably why the imperfections are magnified in my case . Just a bit of constructive criticism, video has Improved immensely needs some work on audio quality, mainly because off variance with volume. I have seen amazing improvements in the short time you’ve been editing and uploading videos. Just wasn’t sure if you were even aware of this issue. Seriously not giving you shit. Just Love your videos and figured it would improve if you were made aware. I only notice when I watch with surround sound, really not that bad when I watch on Phone while I’m out and about. Tim I’m sure it’s hard to find locals willing to be that open and honest, especially on camera. These are videos that I love, which is why I’m such a Fan of Harold’s. Just keep up the great work. Also I’ve noticed quite an improvement in your video quality, I believe your using the same camera as Harold. I’m sure that there’s a learning curve, Also possibly since I watch UA-cam on a 65” tv with Surround sound, which is probably why the imperfections are magnified in my case . Just a bit of constructive criticism, video has Improved immensely needs some work on audio quality, mainly because off variance with volume. I have seen amazing improvements in the short time you’ve been editing and uploading videos. Just wasn’t sure if you were even aware of this issue. Seriously not giving you shit. Just Love your videos and figured it would improve if you were made aware. I only notice when I watch with surround sound, really not that bad when I watch on Phone while I’m out and about. Keep up the great work my friend. 👍🏻🍻👏🏻
