Hi, my name is Kristin Hanes and I live part-time in a Mercedes Sprinter van camper and also a sailboat. My first van was a 1994 Chevy Astro. Van life is one of my favorite things ever. If you're curious about living in a van, choosing the best van to live in full-time, campervan conversions, van builds and campervan tours, you're in the right place. I also love talking about making money on the road.

Thank you
Roamly told me that they won’t insure full time vanlifers. You can’t live in your van for longer than 5 months per year.
Really! Wow! I'm going to write to my contact there and ask!
Here is the response I received. Thanks for bringing this to my attention: since we're also a brokerage we can still write fulltimers with our other carrier partners like Progressive, National General, SafeCo, and Foremost. We have some special programs with these carriers, like Progressive, that allow them to give us some unique benefits around rentals and discounts that they wouldn't find with a direct agent or online typically either.
We'll likely start writing fulltimer policies on Roamly paper again in 2024
@@TheWaywardHomethanks for the info! Maybe the Roamly agent that I was speaking too wasn’t aware of that. Can you send us your agent’s info, please? I subscribe to your newsletter so we can connect there if that’s easier! I appreciate your blog a lot!
