If it was my own dog, he would just get his feet trimmed. He is a client dog and this is what they wanted. I see no harm in trimming like this. Why is it too short? I barley took anything off.
@@LoveofGrooming if you know what is good if it was your dog you have to educate your clients because such short trimming on double coated dog such as pomeranian can be a trigger for alopecia x. The puppy needs bathing and brushing every 2 - 3 weeks, some supplements like salmon oil and quality food. No hard feelings, I'm talking from a lot of experience with pomeranians 🐾
I do educate my clients and they sign a waiver. This is what they want and that's what I give them. Do you show your pomeranian? Have you been to a Dog show? If not watch the pomeranian being groomed for the ring, even puppies get trimmed. The outer coat is being trimmed, not the undercoat. Trimming or shaving the undercoat is not recommended. Some owners want them shaved. I decline if they want them shaved but have shaved a few elder poms for health reasons. Lots of groomers all over the world trim the outer coat. My customer will not come every 2 or 3 weeks. I can't force her.
