I always thought bishons were teacup dogs.. This one looks bigger. I loke the tiny fluffy cotton balls that stay really tiny.

What does the F on the blade mean? I guess my question is what’s the difference between a 5 & a 5F blade? 🤔
The F means Finishing Cut or Fine Cut. The F blades leaves the coat more smooth and polished compared to the other blades with no F. The teeth on the F blade are all the same length while the non F blades have different sized teeth which leaves the coat more rough looking.

and I couldn't groom my dog more regularly. I have the typical Lhasa with the long soft straight hair. I want him short but not too short. He has balls of matts here and there. His legs are matted from his licking and for me not brushing right away. I would love to get your look on my dog. I have both clipprrs you have and detachable blades from 3f, 4f, 5f, 7f, 10, 30 and attachment combs. You name i have it! Can I use a 5f blade on him?
Hi, glad you are enjoying my channel. Yes you can use a 5f as long as it can go under the mats. If the mats are too close to the skin and the 5f won't glide under then try a 7f. If the 7f won't go through you may have to even shorter and use a 10. Use caution if mats are too tight and if you are not confident enough to do it then seek out a professional groomer.
@@LoveofGrooming thank you so much for your help and response. You are special 💖. Looking at the matts they are not close to the skin. Looks like new hair growth with a matt at the end. Strange look. I appreciate your help and keep those videos coming! I haven't seen a video of anyone grooming an actual long haired Lhasa except to keep them in their full coat. Then it's only bathing, brushing, or scissor trim. I'm thankful for your video!

I’m glad you showed a dog that doesn’t stand lol. Sometimes it feels like everyone shows the perfect dogs that stand and behave. Sometimes you just have to do the best you can as a groomer and work with the dog. This week I sat in a chair and brushed out a pom for 30 mins because it was the only way he’d sit still:)
viel zu kurz. man sieht die haut durch und ich finde sie manhmal bisschen ruppig, wie sie z.b den bart kämmt. aber das ist sicherlich ansichtssache. der hund hat super mitgemacht. 99% aller hunde lassen sich nicht einfach so die nägel schleifen. da müsste man schon gewalt anwenden. von daher. guter job liebes hündchen ;)
I wish mine was this white. Unfortunately we fight tear stains so bad even his muzzle stains. Any recommendation?
Hi, try switching food as sometimes its allergies. It could be the food or allergies to anything. its best to clip the area short, it will look nicer shorter compared to seeing the stains. There are products that you can try to cover up the stains or lesson them. You could try a whitening shampoo, it wont remove the stains but can lesson them.

Why shave him so short? I have 2 morkies that I don’t shave and just cut with a scissors. I could never understand why groomers shave these poor dogs!
Why do say "poor dogs" ? Why do you think it's wrong to clip them short?
There is nothing wrong with clipping dogs coats short. It's high maintenance to keep coats long.
The owner likes it this way. It grows. It's high maintenance. They get very matted when left long and not brushed everyday. I keep my own Poodles short especially in the summer. If a dogs coat is matted its kinder to clip it off.
The average pet owner wants easy maintenance. They are not show dogs.
@@LoveofGrooming I brush my dogs so they don’t get matted and they are not show dogs. If pet owners would take care of their dogs with proper maintenance, they wouldn’t have to be shaved and look funny. Dogs shouldn’t need to be shaved because pet owners are too lazy to brush them regularly.
The majority of my clients do take care of their coats but prefer them short. It's like people some shave their heads or keep it short or keep it long. It's a preference. It's your choice to keep your dogs coat longer. Not everyone likes a long coat. So I must be lazy because my Poodles are kept short. Not everyone has a lot of extra time to be combing and brushing their dog and that's why they take them to the groomers. If I had nothing to do all day I would love to be able to groom my dogs all day and leave their coats long.
There are millions of dogs that are kept short. Just because you like it long it doesn't mean everyone else has to. To each their own. My son shaves his head, is he lazy, lol
I am not lazy I am busy, busy, busy but do not call me lazy or anyone else lazy because they keep their dogs coat short. That's ignorant 😒
