I pre-ordered the Standard Model Plus Vol.3 6-pack box, and I'm looking at around $48-ish in terms of cost INCLUDING shipping. To put that in perspective, if you manage to find a figure you want that ISN'T sold out, it's usually $70 for a full box or $20 for a specific figure. Just can't wait to unbox my set when it comes in. ;v; Gogmazios, White Monoblos, Black Gravios, Rusted Kushala Daora, Oroshi Kirin, and Raging Brachydios, with parts to build a clear Zinogre... Gonna be awesome!
Friend and I have been getting these from an anime store near our work. We were super stoked that we found MH figures that we can buy near by. The craftsmanship is pretty good for $7-$8 figure and just fun to collect in general. Especially for huge MH fans as ourselves.
lol you bought up that double rajang quest, I still remember it as clear as day, the achievement and thrill you feel after you fin the quest is simply amazing. For me, no quest comes close to how hard it was.
Really love the detail on Silver, when the light hit him, it really shines. Awesome series, hope you can find the time and money to do another episode when a new edition comes out :) Also that was pretty cool including their ecologies'.
These figures are absolutely gorgeous and well worth buying. I would love to see more in depth videos covering specific monsters like you did in this video, with fun facts and the sort. Looking forward to videos in the future. :)
I just got one of these exact figures a couple days ago and they are SOOO nice. I was surprised by its size as well, and the amount of detail. Holding one yourself really makes all the difference between pictures and videos online. Deviljho is my personal favourite monster next to the Tigrex, and I am very happy to say the one I bought was Savage Jho. I want more now, but they're so expensive online.
you really should make more of these kinds of videos! It's fun to see the figures, showing the egology videos is a fun and engaging way to present the monsters and the tips you give about the monsters are helpful. (now to figure out how to get figures cheaply to sweden)
By "ecology videos" I was hoping you'd show the actual ecology videos, like Akantor fighting a gravios, or the one of a Rathian feeding it's young. The intros are fine too though.
Impressed with the quality of the painting. I haven't bought pre painted minis since the days of Mage Knight and those were pretty ordinary. But theses look fantastic. Jho is my favourite by far.

I got some of them (P. Daimyo, Shagaru, B.Tetsu, B.Tigrex, Chameleos and Seregios) and I gotta agree, they're awesome. My only complain would be that Subspecies usually receive the same cast, giving them the very same posture. Recently I discovered a Gog in the Figure Builder series, I was like "OMG, I need this". But Akantor looks awesome as well. What really blew my mind was the Creator's Model of Gore Magala, it looks like it could come to life any second. BTW, Capcom released a jar of Deviljho pickles once^^
I think the figure I'd want the most would be Ukanlos, depending on how it looks. I don't really know why, but I really love the look of that monster and it is always a joy to fight. I adore its design and I think a big Ukanlos figure would be rad. My favorite monsters to fight are the giant stage-creatures like Dahren Moran and Dalamadur, but neither of those would look as cool as Ukanlos I feel. On the smaller side...I think Royal Ludroth was my favorite monster to fight in 3U. A figure of that majesticness would be cool. Or if not a figure, maybe a sponge...
The Savage Jho was probably my favorite. Nice colors, details, and pose. Just fought a normal Deviljho for the first time about a week ago and was pretty proud to finally be making it close-ish to G rank!
Unless I'm mistaken, the quest you're referring to from Freedom Unite was just against two normal Rajang, because I think Golden Rajang only showed up in G-Rank. Back in FU and 3U, Savage Jho and Gold Rajang didn't have their own armor sets that were different from normal Deviljho and normal Rajang. They were both also only available to fight in G-Rank. I'm actually kinda glad that they put in this new thing where monster variants can give you completely separate armor sets, and I'm also a fan of how Gold Rajang and Savage Deviljho can both be fought in High Rank. Maybe we'll end up seeing a High Rank version of the Rusted Kushala and Critical Brachydios armors in later games as well.
Damn Capcom, your figures are such masterpieces. The Silver Rathalos was the coolest for me and I had to fight it more than 5 times to complete the SilverSol Set (Armor and Insect Glaive)
I love the Silver Rathalos... sadly i still havent beaten it in MH4U... Thanks for doing this video and commentary on each monster. My first MH is 4U so im still new , therefore hearing about the monster's habits and details was interesting.
Out of all those figures I would have to say that I like the Rajang the best. I really like the pose he is in. He feels more dynamic than the rest of them.
This year I had my 18th birthday and a friend of mine, knowing how much I love MH, decided to buy one of this figures as a gift for me. The funny thing is that the figure was the Silver Rathalos, my favourite monster, and that she decided to search for it even if she absolutely hates Rathalos xD. Now I want the other 5 monsters!
Love Videos like that and I really like that you show the entry Videos and ecologies of every Monster you draw. I managed to grab some of these figures myself here in Germany. I got Monoblos, T.Zamtrios and Chameleos so far^^
Nothing to laugh at. I'm pretty sure the right leg on all red akantor figures is almost impossible to put in, and will slide out if not put on the stand immediately.
Based on logic, it can definitely not fit properly when he put it in upside down. Also, not humiliating Gaijin Hunter or something, I just think he's quite interesting this way.
I only have the Yian Garuga and Chameleos figure builder models, but they are incredibly detailed. I can't wait for the set that has Gogmazios, White Monoblos and Rusted Kushala because they all look so darn cool

i bought a few at japan expo in paris, and they look incredible, i didnt have the chance to get an azure rathalos but managed to pull brachydios, zinogre, rathian and... lagiacrus, i miss you babe, i miss you so much, i hope they bring you back in MHX
It was great to see these monsters in their rage state. I generally like Molten Tigrex the most, but in this set the Golden Rathian wins. I'd really like to get some figures, or at least one or two with my favorite monsters, which probably would be Molten Tigrex and Shagaru. Great video!
I got the Gore Magala one that came with the collector's addition of MH4U and it looks gorgeous. It also came with its own circular stand so you don't have to use the included hexagon stand if you don't want to. And for some reason, the nubs just don't want to go into the bases.
Those are some awesome figures!!! I actually have 2 of my own (although they are from a different series.) One is the MHB Palico from the Vol 1 Palico figure builder and the other is a translucent Tigrex from the Clear Special set!
We call the Deviljho the giant sea cucumber (in german 'Seegurke') for some reason... probably because he looks similar when enraged, but I don't know for sure... He was the 'Seegurke' once and than it was mostly like 'Wanna hunt? Yeah, I need some saliva, can we make deviljho?' 'The sea cucumber? sure'
I like the Akantor, it's fang is freakin awesome and enormous. The Akantor also has it's own hardcore mode which is only at the monster hunter frontier franchise. It uses it's whirlwind as an armor. The Akantor is the strongest among the figurines.
If you like Molten Tigrex because it starts slow and then goes full rampage, then you'd have loved Espinas from MH Frontier. He absolutely ignores you until he goes rage mode and never goes back to normal mode. It was an awesome fight.

Akantor is my fav. had good memories of it where I've duo'ed it with my buddy and I had barely just a rathalos set so I would get 1shot if he ever touched me. Anyways, Gaijin I only started on MH4U with the whole MH series and you've announced now several times about MHX. How long do you think will it take for it to come to NA/EU ? Also isn't it a pain to re-start from scratch again ? Like I've said I'm no veteran to the series and seeing all my progress on MH4U being "wiped" out the moment I switch to MHX does make it less appealing to me. Well I will play it for sure but I'm having this "blues" about all the leaving your stuff behind part. Thanks for this nice video man !

Actually Gaijin, Rajang made its first appearence in MHF2/MHP2 which came out before MHFU/MHP2G. The quest you said about was the last village quest in MHF2/MHP2.

I live in the US so these types of figures are pretty hard to come by. Any recommendations on where i could/should buy a box like yours? I definitely think the Molten Tiggy is the best one out of them such a nice design and pose.
OMG these are only like $6??? I was talking to my friend the other day how I wanted to get some of these figures but I didn't know if I could afford it... Now it's looking much more affordable!
I never had the guts to do Savage Jho back in 3U, but I did have fun doing the caravan version in 4U. Got all the breaks too. My favourite would probably be the Gold Rathian, coolest armour and I had fun times farming it for the armour back in MH3U. And it just looks stunning. I also hate Rajang, spend an entire fight going after his horns with the hammer... he usually dies before I can break the second horn to get the drop. Molten Tigrex was admittedly fun... in the solo caravan quest. The online versions are much more difficult. All the MHX hype has got me back into MH4U too. Offline though, since moving to back to the countryside I have to deal with bad internet. And finally *a question*: I've got enough shards now for the Artian X set. Which one do I make, blademaster or gunner? I've got a few good Blademaster sets and I'm currently going for all the ED sets, I've also got the Mohran and B. Diablos gunner sets. I use both types of weapon, which armour set should I use my shards on?
I made the mistake of buying Vol 1 by blind box and ended up getting doubles. Then for Vol 2, I bought the whole box of 6 (like you did for the Vol Rage) and got every monster. My guess is that, like you, the best way to assure that you get all unique monsters is to buy the set in one go. :)
I already have the rage vol 2 set and I must say these figure builder sets are worth it! My personal faves from that are standard jho and brachydios. Though I am tempted by this sets rajang and akantor
When I was in Japan two month ago I also buyed some figures, some single ones and a box, which contained a full set. It was the set with the extra seregios... Unfortunately, with two of the figures, the yellow-special seregios and the monoblos (I'm not sure anymore if they were from the same set), I had problems building them. I fixed the Monoblos with scratching some of the material off but the seregios lies there unfinished, as I already have him in colour. Is that something that happens more often or did I just had bad luck? I really wonder, especially as all the other figures have really good quality
I always loved the Silver Rathalos and I won it at the French Stunfest MH4U Tournament so personnaly it's my favourite and look how he's magnificient and full of strength with the fire in his mouth!! *_*
AKANTOR, when I fought my first akantor it was in Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. At the time I had stock high lvl death stench armor lol so my defense was terrible ( I didnt know how the armor upgrade system worked yet ) I fought akantor 4 times and finally beat it lol best hunts of my hunting career.
Are you still collecting this series figures?, I heard this series will have vol 18 that featuring alatreon & safi.. hope you back to review figures too
Is there any particular place where you bought the full box at? When I was in Tokyo I found a lot of these figures but I didn't want to put a lot of money into the randomness of buying a lot of single mini boxes since I would get repeats.
I definitely want to save up for a set, but which one lol! I might just save up for the December set with Tamamitsune and Agnaktor. Great vid as usual!

The unopened box sets of these always give one of each, so you never have to worry if you buy them like that.
Actually Gaijin, Rajang made its first appearence in MHF2/MHP2 which came out before MHFU/MHP2G. The quest you said about was the last village quest in MHF2/MHP2.

OMG these are only like $6??? I was talking to my friend the other day how I wanted to get some of these figures but I didn't know if I could afford it... Now it's looking much more affordable!

I never had the guts to do Savage Jho back in 3U, but I did have fun doing the caravan version in 4U. Got all the breaks too. My favourite would probably be the Gold Rathian, coolest armour and I had fun times farming it for the armour back in MH3U. And it just looks stunning. I also hate Rajang, spend an entire fight going after his horns with the hammer... he usually dies before I can break the second horn to get the drop. Molten Tigrex was admittedly fun... in the solo caravan quest. The online versions are much more difficult. All the MHX hype has got me back into MH4U too. Offline though, since moving to back to the countryside I have to deal with bad internet.
And finally *a question*: I've got enough shards now for the Artian X set. Which one do I make, blademaster or gunner? I've got a few good Blademaster sets and I'm currently going for all the ED sets, I've also got the Mohran and B. Diablos gunner sets. I use both types of weapon, which armour set should I use my shards on?

I made the mistake of buying Vol 1 by blind box and ended up getting doubles. Then for Vol 2, I bought the whole box of 6 (like you did for the Vol Rage) and got every monster. My guess is that, like you, the best way to assure that you get all unique monsters is to buy the set in one go. :)
I already have the rage vol 2 set and I must say these figure builder sets are worth it! My personal faves from that are standard jho and brachydios. Though I am tempted by this sets rajang and akantor

When I was in Japan two month ago I also buyed some figures, some single ones and a box, which contained a full set. It was the set with the extra seregios...
Unfortunately, with two of the figures, the yellow-special seregios and the monoblos (I'm not sure anymore if they were from the same set), I had problems building them. I fixed the Monoblos with scratching some of the material off but the seregios lies there unfinished, as I already have him in colour.
Is that something that happens more often or did I just had bad luck? I really wonder, especially as all the other figures have really good quality

have you tried the capcom creator's model? they are a lot more expensive but I like those the most for the monsters.

I always loved the Silver Rathalos and I won it at the French Stunfest MH4U Tournament so personnaly it's my favourite and look how he's magnificient and full of strength with the fire in his mouth!! *_*
AKANTOR, when I fought my first akantor it was in Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. At the time I had stock high lvl death stench armor lol so my defense was terrible
( I didnt know how the armor upgrade system worked yet ) I fought akantor 4 times and finally beat it lol best hunts of my hunting career.
About the pickle thing... In spanish they are called pepinillos, so at least in chile we call deviljho the pepinijho. The more you know.

The coolest in my opinion is the Rajang, i absolutely love this monster.
Is there any particular place where you bought the full box at? When I was in Tokyo I found a lot of these figures but I didn't want to put a lot of money into the randomness of buying a lot of single mini boxes since I would get repeats.
I definitely want to save up for a set, but which one lol! I might just save up for the December set with Tamamitsune and Agnaktor. Great vid as usual!
But... Then I'd kinda want to but the set before that with Dinovaldo so I can have all four MHX flagships ;;;-;;;
