I have a Rolex GMT Pepsi, a Glycine Airman GMT and an Omega Speedmaster Moon but I also love Timex watches. I have this watch and a Timex Navi Harbor watch. As a working international airline pilot I don't wear my expensive watches much anymore while flying, and I use the "Allied Three GMT" for my "all nighter" trips to Hong Kong... I love the Indiglo illumination. Great video Mark!
I used to ride public transportation (jeepneys) with the ladies working for Timex when I was in college in Cebu. They are usually on their way to work while I was going home as some of them are having night shifts. They are hard working and very skilled people from what I heard (my mom was in Human Resources- different company). I always think of them, my family and home (Philippines) whenever I look at my wife's Weekender. I just think it would be really cool to have a red GMT hand pointing home.
Watching from the UK. Thank you very much for this. Own two Rolex GMT Master II’s, getting this too. I have always loved timex. Quartz is perfect for travel and Airport hoping with different time zones. Excellent review. Thank you so much. Warm regards. DP
Really well done video. Thank you for explaining how to use the GMT for military time in the home time zone. It’s a useful function for me since I travel to Quebec often enough and they rely on military time as their standard. All your videos are so helpful.
Hi Mark ..this is Mark from Florida ..just want to let your customers know Timex is great . My Expedition has traveled around the world with me for over 15 years and still going strong .Great value ..
I own a Timex GMT. Not this one but one that’s similar, but it has the same movement. A really neat feature you mentioned that I want to emphasize is the GMT hand can move in 30 minute increments. This allows tracking time in India (GMT +5:30) where I travel to often. This alone is an amazing feature. Also the local (center hands) are completely independent of the GMT hand. I don’t know of any other watch that can do this. This watch is now discontinued. I hope Timex will release another model using this movement.
Looks pretty clearly that there are 4 clicks to the hour @4:30 -- 15 minute increments not 30 as Mark says. This is good as there are a few weird places that are on that offset, not half hour or the usual 1 hour offsets.
Appreciate the review, Mark! Been looking everywhere for someone to review this... looks great, love the indiglo and the 3 time zones is super helpful for travelers like myself. A bit big, but your wrist shot has me seriously considering...
Yeah it’s very nice and thanks for sharing. Just wondering is there a smaller case diameter version or other recommendations. Looking for a three time zone watch
I just bought this watch based on your video and review. I checked your website first, but since you didn't list it, I bought it directly from Timex. One thing I've noticed about the second hour hand is it must be set on the hour or half hour in order for it to track the primary hour hand correctly. Even then, the second hour hand on my watch is a little off, but I can live with it.
Just bought the Timex and just subbed to your channel. I have a Seiko skx Pepsi and my son has a Vostok with the coke configuration. We like the hommage watches.
I bought this from timex about a week and a half ago I love it! Would totally have picked it up from you guys if I would have known you would have ever sold timex lol!
Amazon and eBay don't have this anymore, but do some Romanian dealers (eMag) with flash deals for 60 bucks. Amazing tutorial of the GMT functionality, Mark! Jumped on this immediately
I love my retro 70s timex automatic watch! This watch being quartz makes sense. Once you set 3 different time zones you need something reliable and accurate. All those features are pretty awesome too. The only thing I would love to see is a lume bezel and a little more raised/ thicker bezel. Cool watch.
Looks like they used the S B Tanning leather Co. on that strap. Same company that makes the Red Wing shoe Leather. I have the newer Red numbered Waterbury Chrono. It has that strap, it is a really nice quality strap. Something you don't find to often these days on watches less than $200. I think they use Horween leather on some of their 40th anniversary Easy Readers. Also a great leather strap.
I bought one of the allied watches you reviewed so long ago, unfortunately I think my watch is magnetized or something... it just runs really slow.. but I LOVE the look.
Nice job Mark. Was this also available in a black PVD version? Curious if both colors are essentially the same watch, except for the case finish/color. Thanks
I am a huge fan of Timex, have several pieces by them and this one is also beautiful, especially on the leather strap. In fact, I am falling in love right now while writing this. But come on, $190 is very steep. The previous 3GMT model is still out there for $110 and it is equally nice, even if in another style. Let us hope it will get more affordable over time. Thanks, Mark! Zs
Nice looking watch. Difficult to tell from a video if $200 is about right or a little steep. For example, it seemed like you were having a difficult time turning that bezel. How solid does it feel? I have a couple of Timex's from 10+ years ago, and I can't kill them. They have been dropped and subjected to shock multiple times. Most impressively, both have retained their water resistance to this day, despite 10 years of weather extremes. For me, it's a matter of whether Timex in 2018 is similar quality to what they were producing in 2008 and earlier?
Mark, I picked up and played with a Coastline Diver and found the bezel action to have quite a bit of play in it. Is this the case with the Three GMT in this review?
This is an awesome watch, it's already a hit. Plus it's an intelligent quartz model so that's a plus. I wish they had done the expedition ranger to a higher quality like this one.
Hi Mark, I am looking for a watch with the annual date (Month, day, date) with also the second time zone. That has a clear reading. Suggest me someone good with acceptable cost.
Nice Timex, thanx Mark. Love the three GMT. Looking for a chrono with a SAFETY green dial and phosphorus orange hands. Something that outrageously stands out, maybe like a Vostock. Suggestions please. Best regards.
I wanted to pick up one of Timex GMT's like this one or IQ+, but they are like 45-47mm, too huge in my opinion. All my watches are between 39-43 and Bulova Lunar Pilot 45mm, but slick design of the case makes it look way smaller. Shame.
Mark, Great video as usual. They're never too long...just right. I'd tried to send a message to you (from Rome, Italy) via phone message from your web site. Don't think it got through to you. My question is ...If an item is on the site as out-of-stock, does it mean it will come back into stock? Or will it soon disappear from the web site ss it gets updated? Thanks for your friendly professionalism.
Greetings. In your video, you referred to this watch as a "diver" watch. Correct me if I'm wrong but, I don't think it's a diver watch. It's more like a pilot's watch with 3 different time zones. Don't diver watches have minute markings on the bezel, and not 24 hours? If I'm right, that would explain why you can purchase one with a leather strap (not very good for swimming), why the crown doesn't screw on (besides Indiglow), and why it's only 100 meters water resistant.
GMT stands for Greenwich (British Royal Observatory) Mean Time, and UTC stands for Universal Time Coordinate; they're essentially the same. They're sometimes abbreviated Z, as in 1542 Z to specify a time
Basically it means they use a more sophisticated chip in order to enable more complications than conventional three-hand analogue quartz watches employ.
Lost me on the GMT part. Very confusing, if you're figuring out the time in your head, ie, GMT plus whatever, then why need the watch to do it? Don't understand.
Not a bad watch for a Timex...But at $190 is a bit too much for me.If I am going to spend $200 on a watch I will be looking to Seiko or Citizen or even Casio.Nice video, thanks !
Timex has the ability to be great watches . I would have ditched the duel time thing and put in a chronometer , at least 10 hours none of this 1 hour stuff . after all isn’t that what military watches are for . I like the 3,6 ,9 approach to time . And titanium is always a better choice. For these reasons I will not but it , pretty as it is .
Call me mean but I hate having to buy batteries. Indiglo eats batteries. Also the waterproofing is never the same afterwards. My only quartz watches are a Sekonda I was given and a Citizen Eco drive that's always on my windowsill behind my desk. I never wear either of them.

I need this so I can see what time my wife has while I'm in Texas.
And I told myself that I'm gonna chill on watch purchases...and u release this! What a smart looking watch
Great job Mark I love your videos, I even watch all the advertisements too! Keep them coming, I watch them all.
Thank you.
+nutnfancy thanks so much. I appreciate it. Also saw you gave me a shout out! Wow.
Worlds colliding
Love both of your channels! Good stuff.
Love your watch reviews too nutn!
Watching from the UK. Thank you very much for this. Own two Rolex GMT Master II’s, getting this too. I have always loved timex. Quartz is perfect for travel and Airport hoping with different time zones. Excellent review. Thank you so much. Warm regards. DP
I'm not ashamed to say, I love the indiglow! Haha!
Not at all! No shame!

Very cool and your explanation of how to use the 3 time zones was excellent!

I'm not a big fan of Timex but i gotta admit that, this model in the stainless steel version is pretty cool !
Thank you!
You're very welcome Mark !

just bought one today at a department store in Canada I was surprised to see it so I bought it!
Appreciate the review, Mark! Been looking everywhere for someone to review this... looks great, love the indiglo and the 3 time zones is super helpful for travelers like myself. A bit big, but your wrist shot has me seriously considering...

Yes, correct.

Great review Mark ! I was about to order this one and thought I would see if you had reviewed it. Sure enough..
Very nice. God damnit, I didn't need another watch.
Maybe you did, you didn't know it.
Very nice, and Indiglo is the reason I always choose Timex
Nice job Mark.
Was this also available in a black PVD version? Curious if both colors are essentially the same watch, except for the case finish/color.

That's frieken cool. I didint get how a gmt works this was a great easy explination. Cheers.
Thanks! It's not difficult.
Just got one! Great watch, as is the channel!
Wow, thanks!

For some people, 190 is 110. Just sayin'
Sorry Mark I did not want to be offensive. But you also offer it for $179 and $189 so who's "some people"? Maybe I'm missing something :)

Can you only put it on a Nato if you get the leather strap version? Thanks.

Nice Timex, thanx Mark. Love the three GMT. Looking for a chrono with a SAFETY green dial and phosphorus orange hands. Something that outrageously stands out, maybe like a Vostock. Suggestions please. Best regards.
Wow, that's some requirement. The Seiko SSC513 is nice, but the hands don't pop like that.
Thanx Marc!
Numbered holes on the leather strap. Never seen that before.
Me neither actually.
I also love Indiglo! Beautiful watch for $150.
Rob Babcock where at?
Except uni directional rotation of the bezel, this is the best GMT watch for under $200.
any idea where i could find this watch in 2018?
I wanted to pick up one of Timex GMT's like this one or IQ+, but they are like 45-47mm, too huge in my opinion. All my watches are between 39-43 and Bulova Lunar Pilot 45mm, but slick design of the case makes it look way smaller. Shame.
Any-chance you still have this watch for sale? thanks in advance!
Bezel action looks a little tight.. is it the gloves?
Just loved the Junkers on your wrist. Is that available on your store?

Mark..do you have the Timex Allied Three GMT TW2R43600VQ (s/s band)??
Thanks again Mark, Good info!
Thank you sir.
Does it come in different dial colors?
Is GMT the same has UTC time?
For you and me, YES. If you are launching missiles with GPS on board, no :)
GMT stands for Greenwich (British Royal Observatory) Mean Time, and UTC stands for Universal Time Coordinate; they're essentially the same. They're sometimes abbreviated Z, as in 1542 Z to specify a time
I need this watch badly in my life, but can't find one. Anywhere I can find one of these?
How rugged is this GMT? I am looking for a tough beater watch for outdoor activities. Thanks
You know what they say about Timex
It takes a licking
And keeps on functioning :)
Nice watch and good review. How loud is the tick with this. Would make a nice adition to my collection and to replace my timex weekender
Not loud at all.
You gonna get more in stock?
So I saw this earlier and it's only $94 for the one with steel bracelet. Question is is it a steal or a fake?
That is an awesome watch!
Looks great!
Thanks for the review
Welcome
What's the battery life like And how easy is it to replace DIY?
Few years, and for sure, DIY.
Not timex related but are you going to restock on the seiko 5 snkl23 models
Not sure they are coming back, sorry.
Mark, love your vids. This is a sharp watch. I cannot find this watch even on timex.com or anywhere. How do I get ahold of this watch? Can U help?
Very nice watch. Marc, what does a "Smart Quartz" mean that is engraved on a case back?
Not sure. Depends on the watch I guess.
Basically it means they use a more sophisticated chip in order to enable more complications than conventional three-hand analogue quartz watches employ.
Damn I wish this was automatic.
can't find this anywhere :( any help????
Love the indiglo
Nice video, nice watch.
How many GMT will track 30 mins time zones.......
Forget my Rolex and Patel
This is for real travellers
There are a few others, though I couldn't name them now. Newfoundland in Canada and parts of India are on the :30 minute timezones.
I wish this is automatic, it will really be great
Would cost 3times more
Would be worth three times more for automatic. 🤣
Just bought yesterday😎😎😎
That is a Time. That interests me!
Me too, me too!
#1- that looks like that would be a good EDC.
Yes, if you need several time zones and you don't want a digital Casio for $30.
I dont
Thanks!
Nice watch!
doesnt have the ballast of a Seiko, but, DANG that's a nice watch.
It sure is.
Realy cool watch
I really like it.
Whats this guy's Surname?
I like it.....even nicer with a 2824-2,but hey we can't have everything! Mark,I know you stock and sell Squale do you stock the 1545?
Yes, one version currently; the 1545-Orig
Lost me on the GMT part. Very confusing, if you're figuring out the time in your head, ie, GMT plus whatever, then why need the watch to do it? Don't understand.
Once you set the GMT, you don't have to do the math in your head.
It is a matter of convenience
In the whislist
Very nice.
Thank you.
Not a bad watch for a Timex...But at $190 is a bit too much for me.If I am going to spend $200 on a watch I will be looking to Seiko or Citizen or even Casio.Nice video, thanks !
Sixteen hundred hours???
Nice
Oh jeez, are you making buy another watch from you already???
Probably, sorry.
nice beater watch, but way too big, will never buy in this size
Ok!
Nice , but lacking . IMO
That's ok, still nice :)

@@MrAndman649 then it wouldn't be a gmt watch lol
Call me mean but I hate having to buy batteries. Indiglo eats batteries.

My only quartz watches are a Sekonda I was given and a Citizen Eco drive that's always on my windowsill behind my desk.

Ugh i hate Indiglo
lame
So you will be pickup up 2 of them?
