Bruce killed the lead part. It was amazing. It was so well done that deep raspy voice. He had a presence. I know the part wasn't written with him in mind, but I honestly don't know how they could have found anyone better.
It's so hard to think of anyone else in that role. His rendition of the character was immaculate.
Exactly. The entire cast was so perfect, I can't imagine anyone else going in and doing better. Bringing in Mark Hamill as Pym is genius casting. Talk about upping the game! Love rewatching the show and my admiration for everyone only increases. Have gone back to watch his other work (Hill House, Bly Manor, Gerald's Game) and love seeing many of the same actors working together, though they don't always have scenes together.
Carla deserves an award for this series. She was phenomenal
We need a movie or series just for Arthur Pym! Perhaps more than anyone in the series it seems like he has a very intriguing backstory waiting to be told!
I agree. I thought his scene with Verna was so interesting and one of my favorite monologues
There's a show called The Terror that you may want to see. It's also about an expedition. It kinda mirrors what Arthur's experiences might have been like.
Sounds like a job for CZs World!
That would be tight. Hamill as current Pym, Sebastian Stan as younger Pym.
PS I second the other guy’s suggestion on u watching “The Terror” season 1.
I advise you all to read the book "The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym from Nantucket". It is a book that influenced Herman Melville to write Moby-Dick, Julius Vern to write 20000 Leagues and Lovecraft to write In the Mountains of Madness.
Also, there are some weird sh1t going on with this book. A scene in the book happened in reality 40 years after its publication.
Frank Langella is a great actor (see The Ninth Gate), but in my opinion, Bruce Greenwood was a better choice for this role and he stepped in and did an exceptional job.
The show would not have been as good without Greenwood in the lead. He BODIED that role. Best re-cast in history.
Genuinely happy to hear that Flanagan cares about maintaining a respectful working environment. He's always seemed like such a cool guy, but you never know what goes on behind the scenes until someone misbehaving becomes a story. With the kind of material Flanagan routinely works with, I feel like that mutual respect would be essential for everyone to feel secure and give their all to the roles they play.
Mark Hamill was absolutely amazing ❤ hope to see more « movie actors » like Florence Plugh or Toni Collette, I would just die happy if the later was cast
Love all of them. I want Flannigan to get his hands on Tatiana Maslany. She is such a chameleon that she would thrive in these stories. Gosh they are so good. I love all of this.
oh my god right!!!!!!
Everyone killed it, truly
Bruce and Carla were great.
True 💯💯✨✨
Langella wouldn't have worked for this part. I'm glad Bruce stepped in.
Me too. Bruce killed it. He has the range, looks and charisma.
Bruce Greenwood gave a masterpiece of a performance. A damn fine actor. Is this show nominated for any awards yet? He deserves them.
The cast was impeccable! And this was one of my favorite performances by Mark Hamil.
Bruh, when she performed as an ape, i was getting scared. And how she moved for it, scared the crap out of me.
Ha mill was awesome in the role. He deserves an Emmy for playing Pym.
Damnt I want a season two 💯🥹
Bruce and Mary killed it as the Usher siblings
I didnt read Carla as dong different riles. I saw her as a shapeshifter.
Great video! Thanks
It really was surprising just how messed up and nasty the children were!! Great cast!!!
Great show and a good video!
Mark Hamill was great in it.
Thanks for all the little details about the cast. I'd never heard them before. Love the show; binged it all in one sitting. All of the acting was so good.
"Offensive behaviour" 😂
it was kinda woke but i still liked it
That was what I also thought at first, but given the decadence of the Ushers it worked our very well.
Yea, not to mention Hamill being in it. He's a damn liberal know-it-all snob of the worst kind. Good actor, though!
If find it hard that there were any rules when Kate is such an awful actress
