The first thing I ever broke on my 4s Kraton v2.5 was the same front shock shaft! I wasn’t as lucky as you were though! My spring shot right out and was lost for good! I ended up fixing the shaft and putting 6s springs on front and rear! It’s still my favorite truck!
Oh really, well there you go, must be weaker steel than their older rigs. I was lucky a week or so ago, got a HUGE bargen box of arrma parts and just so happens there are 6 new 4mm shock shafts for these shock I the lot🥳 I will probably swap to more heavy duty shock at point still though. Thanks for watching mate👍
Yeah didn't take me long to get one of those nasty up ramp landings😵 I'm surprised though considering the 6s shocks only have 3.5mm shafts but these 4s rigs actually have 4mm shock shafts🤔 Has to be different grade steel.
Sole good bashing there 👍 Servi saver is a huge weakness for these trucks. I even have the hot racing servo saver and its still struggles to stay center.
It wasn't me it just happened🤔 yeah right🤣 Yeah I definitely gotta hit that jump with more speed to try and clear the lot, always fun though even if I'm just filming, I love RCs that much😃 Cheers Michael✌️
@@rccrazy My Talion eats through them and the top mounts. I chase problem after problem with it. My Vorteks falls apart every time I use it. Maybe just my luck haha
@northwestrcs yeah sound like you are quite unlucky with you Arrmas. I not ones snapped a Arrma 6s shock shaft and there only 3.5mm. I think Arrma just used the wrong material for the 4mm shafts. It's OK if you don't like Arrma, why we have options👌
If anyone wants to still run a servo saver and get great steering, here is a 3d print to spacer the servo to fit a after market losi LMT servo saver the Brand is Teal. I will leave a link in a reply.
Not everyone can get to a public library mate. I personally am one example, I live with PTSD and a number of other mental and physical health issues and can not be away from home for long periods(even half hour at times) so I know 1st hand how difficult some things are even though the average person finds it basically effortless.
V2.5 is better in many ways technically, better driveshafts, a centre differential, little stronger chassis. Not sure about the shock shafts now though😅
Not me mate, this happens to my comments aswell. It's very rare for me to delete comments, if it was inappropriate then yes but I'm assuming yours wasn't. Try again maybe🤷
I did show it in my last 2 videos I think but it very easy to lock the saver, all you need is 2 screws 1.5mm to 2mm thick and long enough to screw all the way threw the 2 small holes already in the saver. That will lock the saver and give much faster steering, it will put way more load/stress on the servo itself though.

Good video. Nice bash session up until the shock shaft snapped.

Yeah someone suggested I try the HR saver but I know it wouldn't help much, 2 screws in the stock saver does a good job😅
Great run guys👍
Thanks mate😁✌️
You unlucky? Nah never lol 😂😬
At least you both had abit fun before the breaks good to be getting out and about even if cut short.
Cheers mate 👊🏻

👍
mine seem to all break right where the threads start.
Yeah that's exactly where this one broke, it is the weakest point I guess but being 4mm shafts it's a bit odd they fail rather easy or fast hey🫤
Heavy impacts are always 50/50 for damage 😅
It would probably be more like 70/30 landing on those up ramps, oops😆
Arrma tough LOL
First Arrma shock shaft I have broken compared to MANY from another well known brand you should know🤣

The problem with that is not everyone has a 3d printer or access to a 3d printer.
@@rccrazy 3d printers are coming very popular now. I think most libraries have 3d printers you can use now.

@@rccrazyfair enough, well I can't post a link anyway as youtube keeps deleting it. Keep the good work, I enjoy watching your videos. Cheers
Oh that's a shame if anyone did want the 3d file.
Yeah youtube doesn't really like links for some reason🤔
Thanks mate I really appreciate the support🙏

Does anybody make upgraded steel/aluminum shock shafts?
Not that I know of, maybe GPM do
I guess you don't want to know the servo saver mod? My comment was deleted?

Id like to hear your servo saver mod. My 2.5 Kraton is so slow to turn. Weak af steering.
