    $1,000 per year is way to much for private OSINT work. I'll stick with my current set up. It's served me well to date. Thanks Gary for looking into it though.

      For sure on the private front, but for pros, this is the way 🙌🏼

    $1,000/year. A bit steep at this stage in my career. I would have to do a TON of research work before this tool pays for itself. I can use a vpn and qubes for now.

    If you have home lab and kali linux I am assuming you will be fine when doing your Osint.

    • @theGaryRuddell

      Ah it’s not entirely the same. Imagine you’re running investigations for an insurance company and you have a team of 20 doing this stuff. Silo in a heartbeat!

      @willpfister 5 місяців тому +1

      Kali is for pentesting. It's not intended for anonymity unless you harden it and use vpn's, Tor or proxies.

    • @szamiduzaable
      @szamiduzaable 3 місяці тому

      @@willpfister Asking, not making a statement: wouldn't Kali with whonix gateway be completely secure then?
      It is a bit of a pain to set up but completely doable.

    Came here accidently while trying to research deleteme. But just have to say before I go: anyone acting as entrance node and exit node on TOR could easily steal your data. Even from the tiny bit I know you're gonna have to be way more clever than this.

      I think it’s a little more nuanced than that.

    AI for OSINT? Really? You'd have to be an idiot to take the AI seriously.
    ASk the AI if it is influenced by it's programmers. Ask for YES or NO answers. It's going to tell you YES. Then say "So you are telling me you have built in bias?" The answer will be YES. Then ask it if you should trust AI with built in bias? The answer will be NO.

    Seems like this channel is leaning towards being a "let's give you a quick 15-minute primer on our new cybersec product" rather than being insightful and or engaging like previous content.

    • @theGaryRuddell
      @theGaryRuddell  5 місяців тому +6

      @@theGaryRuddell That’s a cop out. Of course the channel is for you. That doesn’t at all negate the criticism of the content. If you don’t like to read criticism just turn your comments off instead of this immaturity.
