Very much like this 202, I bought my 1982 504 wagon out of its grave in the middle of the pandemic and spent a lot of time and money to bring it back to life and make it an air-conditioned daily driver again. My mechanic and I still need to figure out how to get the heater to actually blow air into the cabin instead of the fan just making noise without any air coming out of the vents, but it is already summer here in Saudi Arabia and it's 105 outside this afternoon, so a working heater isn't exactly tops on the list.
Those "giubos" (I just learned that name now, today; I just call them flex disks or donuts) remind me of the last Mercedes-Benz that I owned; I used to replace these every year - sometimes every six months - because they would petrify and turn into spinning turds in the extreme heat, especially given that I drove that car on at least one 600-mile road trip every week. A friend of mine's 560 SEL had the one on the transmission side fail and disintegrate because he neglected to replace it on time and the prop shaft spun out at speed and tore a gaping hole into the floorpan. It used to be such a nice 560...😟

Always hated those things. I used to soak mine in platiciser and silicone oil (kinda like 303 product) to make em last. Got about 4-5 years out of em if treated nice.

The straps are snipped off the quibos AFTER they are fitted. On the 202 the fuel filter after the pump is the wrong way round.

I've always found it fascinating how different manufacturers and car designers found ways to overcome certain requirements and difficulties over time. Growing up, my dad was always restoring old cars for himself or friends. I got to ride around in some very old, cool stuff. It was all american made, though. Maybe a volvo or too. I Remember the advance/retard lever inside the steering wheel. Lots of cool stuff. His first car was a model T. Bought if for 25 or 50 bucks. Wish I had a time machine. Bet you do as well.

I wasn't paying attention when Mark said "You guys like looking at my junk" and I thought for a second it was an OnlyFans ad...

EG on the dash of the Peugeot stands for ‘Essuie Glace’ I would imagine. French for windscreen wipers.

Several people repeats that on each video featuring this car, including me... Unfortunately Mr 2stroketurbo seems to not read these comments.

The DKW was made by a company called "Auto Union" which today is Audi. Its a very cute car. Once completed its very beautiful classic. In Europe they are very rare nowadays. Its engine sounds like a low power motorcycle.

O, we guys don’t “like looking at your junk” 😆😆! That’s another part of the internet altogether.
Love the little 202 and wish I could bring it home to take it across the line. It just needs a big final push.
Leave the metal strap on the isetta donut drives until after they are fitted. Similar to a ‘70-73 Triumph GT6.

Mark i suggest making second channel...maybe call it Two stroke Turbo the rebuilds and use that channel to do all the rebuilding of the golden oldies and all other cars you have lined up...that channel can focus on doing one car at a time and a more intense step by step process of the rebuilds...a different dimension to be channel...You will notice of the bigger 100K to 200K and more channels have a behind the scene channel too...just to add abit of third dimension to there channels...something to think over...just my humblest opinion 😀😀😀
