There several mistakes here compared to Chinese news media. The speed of the J20 with the WS15 engine will reach beyond Mach2.2. The WS15 will enable super cruise fully loaded. The J20 is not designed for ground attack, it's long range missiles plus long operating range are designed to attack AWACs, tanker and surveillance. It is designed from the beginning as a cooperative fighter with J11, J16 and drones. And the canards are designed for better supersonic stability and maneuver.

The F-35 is an inferior sircraft; it only has 1 engine, lose it and you're a POW, lost or dead. The F-35 is not an air supremacy fighter. The F-35 has a top speed of only Mach 1.6, or 1,228 mph.
The J-20 is an air supremacy fighter, it has 2 engines and a speed of Mach 2.55, or 1,956 mph, more than 700 mph faster than the F-35. No contest.

@@tonyfrancesco3701 F22 and F35 are two decade old antiques. Newer planes are better compared to these crash happy and unreliable US planes. The F22 in 2 decades has had 32 crashes and fatalities. Impressive stats. 👍
