Usually when I hear covers I can make the difference, the little part of the guy covering can be heard in the music but this one is like totally the same as the original :D That's another type but it's just so weird to hear the original from someone else :P I have the habit to hear at covers to feel the music in another way but that performance is impressive ! You're right, that's a big compliment ! Congratulations one more time !
This is Amazing. You have great taste in music and awesome playing skills on each instrument you played (and you're even good at mixing and probably video editing :D). I am trying to make full covers like you but i'm nowhere near that good, and i spend a lot of time on learning, recording and trying to make songs sound like the original, but i always end up wasting all the material (and time) for not being as good as i wanted. I dont know what to do. I am drowning in frustration :/
Nome Fasullo hey man thanks a lot! if you look back about 3 or 4 years on my channel you'll see that I was making some terrible quality covers that are pretty hard to listen to now. If you stick at it though and keep on practicing your skills you'll eventually be able to make really high quality songs and videos! Just keep making songs and putting them out and you'll see your material getting better as time goes on :)
Jordan Harris Thank you very munch for your response and for your encouraging words :) Maybe i will release something even if it doesn't sound good then, hoping to get better and to get better equipment over time, because It's something i've always wanted to do. However, i watched some of the first covers you made and yes, maybe guitars didn't sound that good, but the drums sound pretty solid to me and you was already a beast on them :D If i could ask, how do you mic up your drumset? Mine sounded pretty bad when i tried to record it, so the only thing i came up with was using samples and programming by hand, which is not very pleasant :/
Nome Fasullo I haven't invested in drum mics yet so I actually program drums then learn the parts and mime to them in the videos. it's a pain to do and I definitely want to record live drums as soon as I can!
Jordan Harris That explains why i wasn't seeing any mic then xD However it's clear that you can actually play the drums part very well (i thought in fact it was actual recording). Maybe for my case It's better to buy an electronic drumset, though, because my acoustic one sounds bad and i'll probably end up spending too much money in mics for the quality i would get out of it. Anyway, knowing that even with samples i could reach this quality in the full mix makes me hopeful... the bad thing about it It's that now i'm sure my previous mixes sounded bad because of my lack of skill and not because of my gear T_T I'm gonna get an axe fx anyway, sooner or later :D Thanks again for your reply and don't forget to keep on making these awesome covers and your own music too, because you are really talented and the world needs more good musicians and kind persons like you :)
