    I came across your videos about a month ago. They very informative. Your children are adorable. I tried making your sourdough bread. Can you send me your complete instructions on rising the bread and what temperature you bake it at.

    Have you ever tried to dry your beans on the vine for dry storage or do you have another method? Thinking of trying to dry some this summer. Looking for suggestions for the best way to go about it. Thanks in advance.

      Yes I dry on the vine but you can also dry them in a drying bag as well

    What zone do you live in? I don’t think I can get 2 crops in zone 4.

      She is south of me and I'm in 8a. I also grow a fall crop of beans. I hope this answered your question.

    Ms. Marandia, what kinda soil have you got there on your homestead?

    • @SurvivalHT
      @SurvivalHT  7 місяців тому +1

      Our soil is not great. Neutral PH clay and loom. Added hay and rabbit droppings to the raised beds helps boost it up

      @@SurvivalHT I run into the same problem. I have been collecting our leaves and the neighbors for the last 4 years and am raking into raised beds this year. I also have gobs of chicken poop. I am hopeful! I am greatfull for your posts over the last few years, I have put several of your ideas to work here.

      @@subdrvrchicken poop is a very good fertilizer. But to much of it and it will burn up your crops. I did that when I was very young.

    What is the spacing for the bean seeds ?

    • @SurvivalHT
      @SurvivalHT  7 місяців тому

      Will be different depending on the Kings bean. Bush beans need more space than pole beans because they are growing up and not out. 2 inches is enough for pole beans but probably need at least half a foot for bush beans

      I grow Provider beans which is a bush bean and I space them 12 inches apart using an Earthway seeder and the Lima bean plate. I get a few seeds per drop due to the plate I just, but that how I do it and I don't thin the plants out.
