How dare you critique my version of small and weak! Hahaha! No, I’m very grateful for where I live and the waves we get. I know it can be much much worse elsewhere…
Hey! There are a few boards similar to what you’re talking about from 10 years or so ago - look at the Biscuit and Fishcuit by C.I. But this is pretty unique, and if you haven’t had a chance to check one out I suggest you do! ✌️
Im not a huge fan of keel twins, especially on more performance orientated twins like this. If the NVS twins didn’t feel so spot on, I would have kept searching and tried a keel twin, but I just didn’t need to ✌️
I’ve been thinking of picking up one of these for a while now. Starting to downsize my quiver as I’ve dropped about 20kgs since I bought my last board and now it feels a little too wide and boaty at times (6’0 Machado Seaside) I’m now 79kg and tossing up between the 5’7 & the 5’8. I’d always heard if you were indecisive on sizing to go on the higher side especially with grovellers & small wave boards, but I’m also still dropping weight so wondering if I just go the 5’7. I just want to get it right as they’re definitely pricy, do you have any recommendations?
Hey mate! These are so short, that if the volume is on the high side it’s only be beneficial. Saying that, unless you’re surfing at such a high level that rail sensitivity and board thickness will drastically impact your performance. That isn’t me…
Great review. Have been riding Plasmic for a couple months. Mostly weak small waves but one punchier 3-4 ft day. I was surprised how good it went when waves were better. The channel seems to give a ton of traction on the face, it never feels squirly like some fish do. I’m going to El Salvador for first time in a May. Mostly surfing right points, some flatter and some that barrel. What are your thoughts on a 5’6 in overhead surf? Worth a go? Thanks
Hey, is a 5’6 your one you have now, or are you thinking of getting one bigger for bigger surf? I think the Plasmic surfs well in bigger surf, but don’t be afraid to maybe muck around with fins if you are thinking it doesn’t have the grip you need when it gets bigger.
Totally disagree the average waves are being surfed as well as they could be and having ridden this board it surfs the way I found it to in similar waves
@@johnnymartin3846 thanks! And it's great people can share their views and opinions on these things, and also why I go to the effort of putting in actual surf footage as it doesn't lie. Otherwise I could just say every board is great or crap and there'd be no personal analysis from the viewer...
Awesome review, in fact so good I went and got one after watching this. I can't seem to get off the thing, keep up the amazing work.
Hey, that’s awesome and thanks for the feedback!
I didn’t meet you at Dark Arts in SD the other day did I?
@@TheSurfboardGuide no wasn’t me
Nice- big Album fan. Mate has one of these and loves it- Would be stoked to see a Bom Dia review too 🤙
Hey! Yes, be frothing to check out the Bom Dia too! Fingers crossed ✌️
I so want to try this board. I see it PU, Epoxy, Varial and even Dark Arts. Thanks so much for the info and review.
Come on thomye. We need to see you do a review on one of these as well.
@@ItsJustBunny1 I don't disagree. :) this board has been calling my name for half a year now.
@@ThomyeSurfs get on one, or get on all those constructions! ✌️
brilliant lil number-- seems to glide above her size! thanks for the great review as always!!
Definitely great glide - thanks!
"Small and weak" you should try my local breaks. You would reassess what is small and weak.
Another great review, cheers.

Craig i know you would love the vesper
good one as always..board looks great under your feet.💥
So easy to surf and super fun! ✌️
Going back a decade plus the FireWire El Fuego had this template first as the shorter board revolution progressed.

Great review! Think I might have to get one soon.
I think they have a place in everyones quiver!
Another great review! Will be interesting to see what the new Vesper model is like (its a stretched out Plasmic essentially)
Keen to check it out - is that the Margo one?
@@TheSurfboardGuide Yeah that's it. Matt shaped me an awesome 6'2" Twinsman & I was asking him about the Vesper. Said he can't get off it!
Of course he did, he’s the ultimate salesman! 😂
But yeah, will read out to Matt coming into summer to check out some boards ✌️
@@TheSurfboardGuide ha! probably why I've 3 of their boards now!!!
@@robgiles9992what size vesper did he suggest considering you are riding a 62 twinsman?
the board looks fun has got drive I have some nvs Taylor Knox twins there sick would you do a review of them
Yeah, might try check out some NVS fins soon!
Great review thank you. Do you think it would go similarly well as a quad?
Awesome review, looks super fun!Did you ever consider trying a keel-type fin with it? If you decided against, why so?

5’6 is going 🤙
Small keel fin you reckon?
Skipper's review has it as a swallow ....... I bet with the channel it would be amazing!
Hopefully we can see some footage of him ripping it up! 🔥
Have you gotten a chance to try the nvs fins with the twinsman?
Hey! I don't have a Twinsman anymore... But do have some epic fins from NVS!
I have a question, what ever happened to that dude ‘Benny’s Boardroom’?
He rides mountain bikes!
@@TheSurfboardGuide wtf?!
Great review, pity Album boards are so expensive
Thanks - yeah they are a little more, but the few I’ve had have been some of my favourite boards. Definitely worth looking into.
Love this 🎉
Get on it!
@@TheSurfboardGuide on it
Max wave size?
The bird beek is back.
It’s pretty common now…
How shorter would you take this board im 5,7
👍
✌️
I think you need to go up in volume there mate.
👌 look lively
Super lively! 🔥
How many coffees did ya have before the video? 😂
A few. But never enough.
This or a baked potato 🥔 surfboard same size???
I thought you looked clumsy and heavy with no real flow. Maybe the board is too short for you and needs more volume?
Fair enough - I felt like the board had good flow, and especially in those weak little rights it could connect sections together quite easily...

@@TheSurfboardGuide one of the few with the balls to put surf footage up of themselves actually riding the boards! 👏👏
