Inflation started to rise in direct correlation to COVID-19 - supply chain shortages being the main cause. Inflation peaked in 2022 at 9% and is back down to around 3% which is near where it was pre-covid. COVID-19 also ushered in price gouging, which is still going on today as corporations rake in record high profits.

Yes, I think that would be a good idea. She could talk about what her actual job was in the administration which was to go to El Salvador, Guatemala and Mexico to find out the root causes of migration. She also set up task forces to address sex trafficking and corruption in those countries. Also, was instrumental in getting companies in the United States to donate money to those countries to create 70,000 jobs, in 2023 migration from El Salvador and Guatemala was sharply down in Mexico. It was down 6% and the other countries that was closer to 60%. I think she should talk about how her job was not quote"border czar" And that she was actually never in charge of the border.

@@5373NSMAG As I remember, Harris was initially tasked in getting offices, procedures, programs, and cooperation agreements rolling towards prevention of those from Central and South America leaving thier homelands in an attempt to cross the southern border. The huge migration trains of folks walking north do seem to have stopped. The numbers have been getting better. And since Biden's recent Executative Order a couple of months ago, better yet. - Had the bipartisan immigration bill heavily influenced by the conservative GOP delegation on the committee been allowed to pass, we would be in much better shape immigration wise. For anti-immigration types, there were probably gains in that bill they won't likely see again.
