I’ve tried so many over the years and my favourite all rounder is the Wandrd Prvke series. I have it in the 31L. It’s the perfect backpack for me as it accommodates my camera gear but also giving plenty of space to put non camera stuff and even an expandable top! Perfect for those travel situations where you slowly pick up items and have to annoyingly carry it in your hands.

Yes, but don’t set it to a native Mac file system if not it won’t be able to be read by the Windows OS.

It’s probably the sound of the disks spinning, which is going to be the same for any hard disk drive. It’s barely noticeable.

Thanks for the video. As you shown in the video enter password screen is of the toolkit app, my doubt is if we connect it to another laptop or TV then do we need to install this toolkit to that device to enter the password?
I didn't try this unfortunately (didn't think about it) but what in assuming is that it won't work because the drive in encrypted. I doubt the on screen keyboard on the TV will pop out for you to enter the password.
Hey quick question sir, I bought the same with yours, I tried it first on my computer and it work, but I disabled the password option after putting it. Now I'm trying it again on my laptop, in which I have used it there before but then my laptop was reformatted that's why I installed it again, but the Seagate Secure is not showing anymore, and I want to put a password. Hope you can help me

I’m not sure if you can add a password after the drive is being used or it has to be at the start. In theory it shouldn’t be a problem.
You say that the files are very secure, but you say nothing about how they are protected - are they encrypted on the disk with that password, or does the disk itself have firmware that only gives access to files after entering the password, or much worse, is there simply firmware on the interface between the USB cable and the hard disk that does same?
If it's the latter, the files could be quite easily accessed by putting the hard disk in another enclosure.

I have this Seagate One Touch Drive as well but mine is 2TB, I cannot access this right now as I have forgotten my One Touch PW, I have reached out to their website but unfortunately they are unable to help me and suggested I just do Factory Reset. Sadly when backing up files you need to remember the password because they are unable to have it reset on their end. Any tips on how to recover lost password in seagate? Thanks.
That’s the whole point of the password protected drive. If they can reset your password, then it wouldn’t be 100% secure! Plus the password is stored locally, not on the cloud or anywhere else.
Ariff I downloaded the Seagate One touch external drive and immediately got the Failed- Disc full message. What do I do now?

Hi samsung ssd t5 have a phone app which allows you to lock and unlock the ssd on your phone. Without needing a computer. Dose thus have it?

I don’t have that product but if it mentions One Touch with Password on the packaging, then it should have it.

You can only use password protect mode if you intend to use with computers.

You can, just don’t set it up as password protected (like a normal external drive).

I didn’t have a chance to test this out because I was just using it on one computer and now the drive is being used as a TimeMachine backup. From what I read online, you’ll need the toolkit software to unlock the drive as well. So for your question, yes the B Computer will need the software as well.

iPad OS should be fine because it’s just an external storage. I’ve been in that use case when rocking an iPad Pro a couple years back. On the iPhone I’m not too certain.

Actually present tool kit is not Windows 11 compatible. So, in my friend's PC I installed the toolkit and set the password for my drive. After that the drive is working fine with my Windows 11 also. It is asking for the password every time I am connecting and trying to access it.
Recommendation: Seatgate should fix its toolkit. It must work with Windows 11 also. Why force to be premitive. Windows 10 is not premitive yet however, but, Windows 11 must be encouraged.
Compatibility issues are always such a pain. There’s not much you can do but just wait…

Looks the same to me. Hard disks are now limited by the disks and not the connection type (USB C / Thunderbolt / etc).

I can’t recall the drive format when it’s out of the box. It should be usable for both OS without formatting.

The speed should be fine but of course you can’t beat an SSD (which is more expensive).

Any hard disk can store your video files. Since you mentioned 4K files, then you should ideally go for high capacity drives. This Seagate drive is high capacity and it also has a tak of cool features such as the password protection to ensure that your data is safe.
How much actual space do we get to use in 1TB drive?
Hmm I can’t recall exactly, but you can expect to lose maybe up to 40GB (depending on the drive). It really depends on the brand and model but it happens for any disk. Sorry I can’t remember the exact number for this.

You probably need to use a drive that is not password protected. Because the TV OS doesn’t support password unlock.

Only the password models come with the software. I believe you can still encrypt the drive with a password using the built in OS tools instead of the seagate software.

In that case I think it’s best to chat with the support. Maybe you can even send them a picture of the serial.

I believe you’ll need some type of dongle at minimum. A hub may not be necessary.

Hey bro, good day. I'm kinda having a problem with my 1TB Seagate One Touch with Password. Hope you could help me out. Whenever I plug the harddisk, my PC isn't showing up the Start_Here_Win app, so I really can't register it in order for it to work. Here's the things I've done so far:
1) Tried it on another windows laptop and PC, as well as MAC, same problem.
2) It can be detected by the PC as the hardware can safely be removed using the Safe Remove the Hardware/Eject Media
3) Also checked on the device manager, it also shows up there.
4) Tried also disabling my current antivirus (bitdefender), still the same.
I’ve not encountered that before but it seems like you’ve tried all of the possible solutions. I can’t tell whether it’s a hardware or software problem. Your best bet is to contact their support or get a refund if it’s newly purchased. It shouldn’t be this difficult.
To mu surprise. I transferred 1 TB data at the speed of 50-70 MBPS max. Barely reaching 100 MBPS. Bought yesterday but I was shocked by the transfer speed I received.😬😬😬

It will always vary + depending on how you reformat it. You’ll never get the full storage capacity.

You can try free data recovery software.
Bro what is the average temperature?
I only use it for offloading files so the temperatures are quite normal, between 25-30 degrees Celsius. But if you do more heavier things such as edit from the drive, the temps will be much higher.
@@AriffSuffian I'm from India,here surrounding temperature itself 37 to 45 c ,yeah hot as hell, my hdd reaches 45-47 c, is that operating temperature (45-47) c good for hdd?
Up to 45 is still ok. Maybe you can actively cook it or place it on top of something cooler.

It has to be a supported model such as the password edition if I’m not mistaken. You can just try downloading the software from the seagate website and try your luck.

What’s the drive format? Nonetheless, you should be able to fix it by reformatting the drive.
How to disable the password?
I’m not using the app anymore but there should be a setting on removing the password protection.
