Glad to see another person that knows cast iron doesn't need to be sanded to be nonstick.
I have a couple Lodge square mini skillets but would like more.
I also have a few 6.5 inch skillets I think are perfect for two eggs. No sticking and I have never sanded them or any of my cast iron. All but one are made by Lodge and bought within the last six or seven years. Rough texture has not bothered me. I love my cast iron.

I don't sand mine either... I just go with seasoning... and that's it. I have non stick pans if I want my eggs to slide around with no fat. Take care Papa C.

I thought you were gonna make a cookie in it😂 Thanks. As long as I get the temperature high enough (smoke point for whichever oil I'm using) I should be able to season my mini skillet in an electric roaster, right? My oven is fried😭
P.s. I've actually never heard of anyone sanding a cast iron skillet. Is that new?
