  • Got to try out some other 2023 Beta models at Switchback Motocross Park in Butler, PA and ride them back to back to get a good feel for how they compare on an abbreviated harescramble course.

    Thanks Buddy for your time and effort to put this together❤ Even I look a lot videos, it saved me hours in the process of decision making. My Favorites so far are beta and 200 rr in a 52:48 Ratio for now.

      I really appreciate the kind words and for tuning in! That 200RR was a very close 2nd for me. It would be nice if the XT had the option of KYB forks but it’s nice having the 300cc motor for that extra power when needed on the bigger climbs.

      Thanks for watching! It’s killing me that I haven’t been able to ride mine yet. I can’t bring myself to take it back in the woods without the bash guards and hand guards cause I just know I’ll mess something up lol

      @@ratherberiding5964 gotcha, I’m just outside of Pittsburgh about 20 mins north. All the riding I have in my area is segmented due to development so you need a plate to get to a lot of it. Still quite a bit of riding though here.

    Thanks . Can’t wait to see more of the XT and how your liking it. What kind of trails do you ride ? Tight, flowing, sandy ? And how does the XT handle roots say second , 3 , or 4 gear trails?

    • @Garage2Trail
      @Garage2Trail  Рік тому +1

      I’m in north eastern US woods (western PA to be exact) so we get a mix of a lot but not really any sand. Mostly tighter single track. Lots of roots and technical stuff. The XT floats over all that stuff with ease. I’ll have riding videos up soon. Have a ton of footage but need to sit down and edit. I’ve been riding a lot so that cuts into my wrenching and editing time lol

    Did you like the KBY suspension or the RR model better?

    • @Garage2Trail
      @Garage2Trail  Рік тому +4

      The RRs def had the “racier” suspension and likes to be ridden aggressive. The XT is plusher but I’m used to the softer setup so it doesn’t really bother me. I’m not riding at high speeds very much and most of the stuff I ride is slower, technical trails. Even when it does open up it feels good to me. I can see maybe high speed whooped out trails it could be hindering but technical singletrack it works good for me

    Been thinking about the 200RR, would love to attend an event like this. I wonder what they do with those bikes afterwards since they are no longer new bikes, a discounted bike with a couple of easy hours would be nice.

    • @Garage2Trail
      @Garage2Trail  10 місяців тому

      That’s a good question. I wonder if Beta gets them back and tears them down to see what issues might crop up and maybe use them as test bikes. I wouldn’t think everyone is east on them. I’ll admit I was wringing the guts out a couple times to see how they like to rev out lol. Plus they travel from place to place with the same bikes so they get around and get well abused.

    • @tomdoe4295
      @tomdoe4295 10 місяців тому

      I'd still buy one, as long as they haven't been wadded up, test riders don't ride them harder than I would.

    Awesome reviews of each bike. Is the 390 a dual sport? I like the 200 and the x trainer too. Would the xtrainer be too small (ergonomic wise) for me? 6 foot 180lbs.

    • @Garage2Trail
      @Garage2Trail  Рік тому +2

      Thank you! The 390 I rode did t have the signals on but you can get them added easily. I think all of them are able to add signals and get plated. Hard to say if the XT would be too small…you’d have to try it at a demo ride or something cause I have heard of taller guys riding them for even more ease of whipping them around.

      OffRoad805 , Beta makes a 350, 390, 430 and 500 in both enduro and street-legal forms. I have an XT and am about your size. It's roughly a 7/8 size frame with a 35.5" seat. Not small but a more reasonable seat height.
