I love this new adventure! If you want to get away from people, you probably need to go there, though rattlesnakes 🐍 something scares me! But the rocks with holes surprised me very much, somehow unusual! But it is very convenient to move around, the rings are very well thought out!🙋♂️👍👍👍

What an incredible hike through the desert! Love the mountains in the distance and the rocky, desert terrain. The rock formations on the cliffs are amazing. Would be cool to hear the wind in person at the banshee canyon. That is so cool, it really does look like Swiss cheese. Those rings look like they can be quite tricky to climb up, wow! Absolutely stunning hike Anita. Didn't know that the 🐍🐍 were sleeping in the winter months. Enjoyed seeing the volcanic rock and porous walls left behind. But the guy with a big 👃was looking back at me! 🤣🤣 The slot canyon was interesting as you mention. We'd need to take the elevator! Easy is in the eye of the beholder. Most of it was an easy trail! But that last section was interesting. Unfortunately there isn't an elevator. I was surprised when I learned that rattlesnakes hibernate in the winter months. Good thing for us, because I am sure they are out there!

Yes that is the first thing that comes into a lot of people's minds. But they do tend to hibernate in the winter months. In all my travels throughout the western US, I have never run into one. It was a fun place to explore, even if we were the only ones there!

I just gave an assignment to students to do research on keystone species in Mojave desert, listen to your explanation now I knew the correct pronunciation which for us will be spelt as Mohavi. The rattlesnake encounter chance sounds scary glad that it hibernate during winter. Very rocky near the peak. You have so much stamina, I'm not sure whether I be able to climb all those big rocks. Enjoyed much watching the video.

I was thinking this place looks very hermit friendly and then you said it 🙂If I was venturing out there I'd tell someone for sure where I was going and the route I was taking as it's pretty desolate and no phone signal. Having said that there looks like some fabulous rock formations which I'd have been tempted to climb up. Then again you did hike up doing some scrambling and bouldering. Having to negotiate rings would have been a new one on me. It looked a lot of fun and a great adventure.
Negotiating those rings were new for us too! But it was fun. Yes this indeed is an extremely hermit friendly location. We are kind of used to locations such as this, so we always make sure that we have water and food with us. The rock formations here are very cool. Have a great week!
This is truly an awe-inspiring desert hike. The rock formations are super cool, you can just wander through and admire the natural formations and holes. It's a nice easy hike to get there where you can admire nature and see desert plants and creatures. Enjoyed this fabulous exploration 🌵🌵😀👍👍

Yes that is what made the hike fun! The beginning of the hike was very flat, but pretty cool to see all of the desert scenery. But the scramble up through Banshee Canyon was very cool. I hope you have a great weekend!

I had heard about rattlesnakes hibernating and we actually have some in the bluffs here in Wisconsin. It was shocking to learn that they can be this far up North. 😯⚠️

That trail really did get more interesting. We have hiked mountains before - but never had to scramble up rocks. It looks like it would be difficult, even when rings are provided to assist. I was thinking this place looks very hermit friendly and then you said it 🙂If I was venturing out there I'd tell someone for sure where I was going and the route I was taking as it's pretty desolate and no phone signal. Having said that there looks like some fabulous rock formations which I'd have been tempted to climb up. Then again you did hike up doing some scrambling and bouldering. Having to negotiate rings would have been a new one on me. It looked a lot of fun and a great adventure.
Negotiating those rings were new for us too! But it was fun. Yes this indeed is an extremely hermit friendly location. We are kind of used to locations such as this, so we always make sure that we have water and food with us. The rock formations here are very cool. Have a great week!

This is truly an awe-inspiring desert hike. The rock formations are super cool, you can just wander through and admire the natural formations and holes. It's a nice easy hike to get there where you can admire nature and see desert plants and creatures. Enjoyed this fabulous exploration 🌵🌵😀👍👍

The forces of nature that have created this over millions of years never ceases to amaze me. Beautiful landscapes and definitely an interesting scramble up through the slot canyon. It's definitely not a place to fall and hurt yourself with no cell service. Thanks for sharing, Anita. I really enjoyed this.
It was a very interesting and fun scramble up through that slot canyon. But you are correct, not a place to fall and hurt yourself. I wish we would have heard that Banshee sound in the canyon, but the wind must have been from the wrong direction that day. It was a fun place to explore. Happy Sunday!

The ring section at around the 7:15 mark looked really fun. Almost a mini via-ferrata. Just so much fun to scramble up there.
Yes that is what made the hike fun! The beginning of the hike was very flat, but pretty cool to see all of the desert scenery. But the scramble up through Banshee Canyon was very cool. I hope you have a great weekend!

I had heard about rattlesnakes hibernating and we actually have some in the bluffs here in Wisconsin. It was shocking to learn that they can be this far up North. 😯⚠️
I have heard that we have some along the bluffs here too in Minnesota along the Mississippi river, south of Red Wing. But I have never seen one!

The rock formations here are very interesting with all of the holes in the rocks. It was a fun place to hike, but very remote. Have a great day!
That trail really did get more interesting. We have hiked mountains before - but never had to scramble up rocks. It looks like it would be difficult, even when rings are provided to assist. We enjoyed seeing yall successfully get up there - and seeing the great views of the rock formations along the way. Thanks for shairng the Rings Loop Trail with us!
It was a pretty cool trail and definitely did get more interesting as we went. The rings were a bit challenging, but very fun. The geology in this area is very interesting as well. I hope you guys are having a great summer!
