Renowned psychiatrist and Urdu poet, Dr Salman Akhtar, explains the process of dreaming in a lecture delivered at the Royal Society of Medicine in London. He illustrates with examples why we dream and what they mean. Dr Akhtar says that the Urdu poets have written extensively about various types of dreams.
Dr Akhtar reveals, arguably, the best ever ‘sher’ (couplet) written about dreams.

I dream almost every day. Am 71. Dreams assure me that I did sleep.
The dreams kept changing according to my deeds and needs.
My father, family members, my friends and even my school and college appear often.

Our so-called "Umma" have had their own enemy from the inception of Islam. Only one Caliph died of natural causes. The other three were murdered. We, people, dream only never to wake up to think, invent and work. Most of our neurons are used up for rotting Koran and researching Hadiths, spilling blood over matters of no importance for almost two millennia.

So strange to understand this whatever he say is on base of happening and little further on knowledge gathered but there is something with in us which handles and all this has guided us in form of CREATOR so whatever we are exploring is just the knowledge of which has been forever

Dr.Salman Akhtar could also have studied Kurt Goedel's Incompleteness Theorem which states that the answer to, say, a large number such as 1000! (factorial) to probe the largest prime and locate its place. So every mathematical object such as Pi and its infinite expansion is unpredictable, not random either. It could be true or false, thirdly, undecided. Sigmund Freud's Psychoanalysis, the theory of dreams, must not be applied to Urdu poetry. Explain away well-known Urdu couplets and poetic attributes of poets. Dr. Salam Akhtar could write mathematical properties of Urdu couplets of his choice such as associative, commutative, and correspondence among others. Dr.Salam's Theory of Dreams needs to be refined, a possible future endeavor. How many Psychiatric patients are cured by Dr. Salman Akhtar?
Dr Salman Akhtar has been practicing psychoanalysis for more than 50 years. So it's difficult to figure out ....
