Always kept up with things anything having to do with Prince,Andre Anderson, and they're many different musical associations back in the early 80's,only to actually make a connection with Prince while actually living in the city of St.Paul Minnesota from (1989-1994)and unfortunately lost contact with Prince from 1995 until his death in 2016 and I never actually told Prince that I was actually a distant relative of Andre Anderson's back then and many other people who were and are very famous celebrities currently today whom I've always known about but had never actually gotten to meet in person throughout all of these years and for me it's always been an extremely great experience just seeing them all in action and hearing about their own lives and personal experiences in entertainment as well-"Thanks for sharing this video interview as its been another privilege for me and stay happy and safe."
You lost contact.....waou....did u ever one day got any contact?? 😂😂 poor guy.....hope ur fantasy could keep u alive. Or, as P. one gram of fentanyl in ur vein.....that’s a way to get connection with him, no?
I remember that interview Andre was talking about. I think Prince was waiting for the opportunity to break out those days. Prince was studying with other people. So of course it was interesting for Andre. Prince was pragmatic. That's why he became who he was. Andre wasn't really business oriented. Prince on the other hand knew he had to play chess to get whatever they were doing off the ground. He's the one that took that leap.

They are all talented but Prince was the whole package. None of them could sing, dance, write songs like Prince or had the business sense that Prince had. Sure nobody does anything all by themselves. No doubt about it Prince was helped and influence by his friends and peers as they were definitely influenced by him. None of them with the exception of Jimmy and Terry have come close to achieving what Prince did. Yes The Time were great performers but they still do the same exact show as they did 40 years ago. Prince never did the same show twice. The man was brilliant on so many levels. PRINCE WAS THE GENIUS.
Are you serious? Andre had better range than Prince. You can hear Dre on the Vamps of Uptown, Dirty Mind, Party Up. Search youtube for the Dirty Mind Tour. Listen to Dre's Bass Playing, stage presence, and vocals. And, get this, most of the women thought that Dre was better looking than Prince.
I personally feel like everyone prince worked with contributed to his career and success in some way.. I feel like Andre was talented (in his own way) Dez, Morris.. etc. I hate when everyone gets compared to prince I feel like they all were their own person and no. They did NOT want to be him. Their all talented and successful in their own right. Prince LIVED with Andre. If that’s not helping and building someone else up I don’t know what is. Yes prince was the mastermind behind it all but he could not do everything entirely alone. We all need people for different reasons and I’m sure prince understood that if he brought others in his circle it would add to his legacy and success so he did just that. He loved everyone he worked with. They were best friends just like him and Morris
Man, I love the Cymone era in Prince's Band. That dude bass playing, vocals, and stage presence were unmatched! Some would say that Andre sometimes overshadowed Prince.
andre is selfless person he gave prince place to stay he never to publishing or credit for songs or parts he wrote. he never got in prince way he found his own lane
Andre Cymone...I am an advocate for you the real is the real!!!
Let's product a musical project!!
You talk Prince early years and you always hear Andre Cymone.
I still blast classic Andre like he just released it! 🤘

What did Andre do for a living during his break from music?
Dre's a good brother. I've always appreciated and valued his prospective. His interviews have always been truthful and on point.
Really cool interview..."Nat" Morris, btw, hosted Detroit's "The Scene" back in the '80s.
Andre Cymone still another one of my favorite Musicians especially Dez and of course Gayle..the original Revolution bka The Rebels
👍 👍 👍
@Tony I agree

Listen to Jody Watley looking for a new love... thats the Minneapolis Sound without a doubt... guess who produced that song?
Yep!
And guess who was featured in Jody's video "Don't You Want Me"?

Facts. BUT, I like that the Time hasn’t changed for nostalgia sake.
There is no comparison to Prince. He was a brilliant artist. He was my younger cousin and he’s tremendously missed! Peace- #Justice4cuz

This is nonsense. Who wrote, arranged & performed the music? Dre was playing my cousin’s lines.

The name of the dance show was the scene. The host was named Nat Morris.
