    I've driven that road along Storm King Mountain many times when I lived in Newburgh.

    I just watched this video again, and maybe it was the camera work, maybe it was the music, but I couldn't help thinking of all the great steam locomotives that passed that way so many years ago. New York Central Pacifics, Mohawks, Hudsons, and the VERY occasional Niagara, and add to that the New York, Ontario, & Western's Camelbacks, Ten-Wheelers and "Mountaineer" 4-8-2's. Great times long ago. What a sight it must have been!

      Really must have been some sight to see between the majestic scenes and industrial aspects of the steam era!!!

      @@northjerseyaerialrail9597 There was quite a bit of railfan activity and photography back in those days. Obviously they didn't have the sophisticated equipment available now but they did a pretty good job with what they had and left a pretty good record. Still, it makes you wish you could step back in time, if just for one day.
