Hi Shane, Compliments of the new year🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Just a suggestion, during livestock handling and treatment, include products you using in thr comment section if possible 🙏🏾
Hi John, Yes, it can be a problem and tends to repeat with every lactation - especially when thay have large teats! While culling her would technically be the way to go - I'm still going to keep her. My bull should bring the teat size down (on the progeny) and she ticks too many other boxes so she'll stay. Of course - her being MY favourite in no way influenced my decision! 🤣🤣🤣
Farming is really Morden now 😅 Growing up as herdsmen such problems were normal to us as calves couldn't finish all the milk in the udder but with time as it grows definitely it will suck all the tites .... Thank you I learnt the quickest way to give a relief to the mother and dangers of what could happen to both the mother and the calf if it stays long like that ....🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hi Mazwi, Thanks for that information. Yes, milking them out is an option and something I'll have to consider going forward. However I prefer the calves to drink as much as possible. Ngunis don't usually produce so much milk that it's a common problem with them.
@@shanecotty3275 quality and quantity 👥️👥️👥️ do not mix, nguni's produce Natural milk & good 👌 unlike the jersey cow's 🐄 where credited to produced milk🥛 for people 👥️ so I don't really believe it's a Natural cow
Hi Khayalami, It's the way the tail sits and is set on the animal. It angles upwards from the root. Have a look at a baboon walking and you'll see what I mean.
More, dankie vir die videos wat oom maak, ek leer verskriklik baie, ek het nou self een van die koeie uitgemelk en die drink by al 4 spend en haar uier lyk beter, hierdie is n vreemde vraag, maar waar kry oom die pienk stok, ek wil ook vir my so een kry
Been following and learning a lot from Namibia. Wishing you all the best for the year ahead!

Thanks Shane,
Good animal handling abilities. Not stressing the cow at all. Hope she gets better soon
Thanks Thokoza! She's looking better already!

Thanks! This is generally a problem more found in dairy cattle. I think the thick teat was the problem - but she's looking better already!
4:49 thanks ,once I finish watching this clip I am going to have a look on this farmin Dude 🎉
Thanks Sandile! He's a very decent 16 year old working with very limited technology so all support will be appreciated! 🍻🍻🍻
Your videos are always informative 👏🏿
I appreciate it, thanks for watching!
We traditionally🛖 milk our 🐄🐂 cattle to get some milk 🥛 and to prevent mastitis and calfs from over feeding
Back on this topic I don't believe it is the cows mistake for not being sucked by the calf
The cow must produces milk natural the calf must suckle it

I think we should start milking nguni cows from pure Natural milk
What you think?
I don’t know how to say this in English, we also use warm water and cloth. English data bungles ran out. I hope she gets better soon.
Hot or warm compress I think is the data bundle you’re looking for 😂
@ thank you , exactly that 😆😁
Yes, that definately works as well!
Hi Shane. What do you mean about a calf with a baboon tale?
Hi Khayalami,
