Thank you so much for this video, been eye opener for me, been trying to find the right sort of harness for my huskys, wish one is Collie x husky my Rescues , l shall nw b buying the true love harness for them, oh just like to say l found it on eBay too, 😘 as that's where l shop, anyways thank you again, for great videos, 🤗 hugs to your babies (huskys) they r beautiful.
alpine outfitters makes custom harnesses for your huskies . i have purchased 2 for mine and they also have several different styles to choose from . i would recommend getting one out of racing season for faster delivery
Gone to the Snow Dogs oh hey guys! So nice to meet you ♥️😀 definitely subscribing to you guys! You have e such a beautiful pack and so many great videos. Thank you so much for the nice comment 🐾😀
Gone to the Snow Dogs we travel a lot with the the Squad so a road trip to meet up, play, and do a collab would be so much fun! Can you imagine all the husky fur? 🤣
I just wanted to pop back into this video and say thank you for the recommendation. I ended up buying your preferred harness in December, and it has been working great for my chocolate lab/Australian shepherd mix. Best harness I have tried to date!
I really appreciated that review. Especially since the harnesses are actually in use. I have never understood the concept of reviews about a harness fresh out the box. That being said, I hated the TrueLove Harness (even had the same colour). It just didn't sit well on my pup and became a real hassle to get on or off. I also didn't like how long it took to dry, but that just goes to show how different each dog and breed is as well as the circumstances/lifestyle/use that it's intended for. I do miss having a front ring though... oh and the reflective strip was a great bonus.
Thank you! I purchased the True Love for my chocolate lab! It is fantastic! It was your video that educated me on the harnesses and I am grateful I found your site!
Definitely a fan of the true love harness. My now 3 year old husky got a red and black one for Christmas last year and I am super surprised with the quality of it for such a low price. I've had him since he was 4 months old and have lost count on how many we went through because of the chewing or just not being able to handle the pulling and breaking (which is scary while in use. Smh) Great video. Definitely going to try the other harness suggested for pulling.
Thank you for the review. I'm glad to have found your channel. I recently got a husky mix and am trying to find the best ways of training. Could you possibly do a video going over how you trained your squad and any tools/tricks to use? They are so well behaived!
Aubrey Morgan Thanks Aubrey! 🙏 Yes, we’re in the process of planning these training videos now. 👍 We’ll need to split them into multiple videos because it’s such a broad subject. 😆 Thanks for suggesting - we love getting feedback on video topics! 💙
Great video. I ordered the sgoda harness. I'm interested in the handsfree leash arrangement your using. What products are you using for belts and leashes.
this is such a great video. we have a 6 month old husky and trying to learn to walk on leash with no pulling. i ordered the last harness for no pull, excited to try.
Have you tried urben mushing harness I found it on gone to the snow dogs and fell in love with it.Thank you for the review.I'm glad to have found your channel.I am thinking about getting a husky. Could you possibly do a video going over how to trained your squad and any tool/tricks to use? They are so well behaved.
I'm so happy to find your page I just rescued a Siberian husky who was caged the whole time I have a small chihuahua boy and the husky is also a boy but I think because he was caged for so long he isn't use to other dog's can you give me any suggestions?
Another bad thing about the first harness and the part where it hides the ID is if you've found a dog and haven't seen that harness before your not going to be able to find it. This would probably stop me from using that part of the harness
I have 2 male Samoyeds, Halo and Ice that wear a Julius K9 harness but just pull constantly. Your video has been perfect for me to decide which harness to buy as a replacement for both walking and running so thank you for sharing your knowledge and recommendations.
Hello! I’m new to the Husky squad but I enjoyed your videos. Right after watching your harness review I went and bought two of the true love harnesses. So far, I love them! Both of my 7 month husky pups seem to like them as well. I was wondering what is the belt Jc is wearing and the different things he has attached to the belt? I’d love to get that for my bf to wear when he runs with the pups. Thanks!
What a great video. Balto is a hard puller. He's only 36 wks but I can walk him with only a slight tug on a leash with a standard color. He runs well with me but I want him to have more freedom pulling. Great information
If I ever use a harness on my wolf (husky) hybrid I'll get that $25 harness! Thank you for such an in depth review, it is much appreciated!! Its nice to hear why you do/ dont like each one. I have 4 dogs; Sheltie, German Shorthair Pointer, Min Pin, & I got the wolf hybrid puppy from a close friend this past summer (he's 4 months & already taller than the pointer!!!) I've been hiking with the other dogs for years & I've had great success with packs. The Sheltie is 14 so he only carries an extra leash, poo bags & still handles a 3 hr hike on the mountain no problem. The pointer carries 5 pounds split between the two packs on either side of his back. The Min Pin who is like 10 years still acts like he's 1 & is very, very active carries a pound in each pouch. During the winter it gets -30 here & I'm not going to take my 2 year old out out in that. All the dogs take turns on the treadmill & the Min Pin does 4 miles per day, runs around to play fetch, chases our cats playfully, etc...nothing seems to slow him down, haha. Then at night when my little boy is in bed & I run on it, he hops on again to run with me all on his own.
What kind of leads do you use? I'm extremely interested in the strap you use to be completely hands free? And what do you use to attach your dog to that?
Thank you. You guys and us must have a weird connection. The other day We were looking to replace our Furminator brush, BAM you put out the video on grooming. Now we were looking to replace the dog's harness and we were thinking of buying the Ruffwear one. BAM again you put out this video. We'll give this thruelove harness a try. thanks again, very helpfull
I am looking for a decent harness and watching your video has resulted in ordering theTrue Love Harness for my dog, it has the top handle and top and front lead connections, and the best thing is it is way cheaper and saving cash over the others which means I can do more for my dog with the cash savings, THANKS :)
Yeah for some reason my dog Vena would choke too on the ruffwear. But if you really look at the ruffwear as it sits on the dog on the front of the chest it sort of touches the neck with is crazy and they shoulnt do that. I like the trulove harness and now my favorite is the dog games original fleece lined harness.
+Zamir Tarmu I’m so glad you found this vidoe helpful 😀❤️ make sure you visit the blog for more details and our new blogs too: huskysquad.blog/product-reviews
Thank you. The Truelove harness WORKS. It is so much better than the Julius. Soft, fits, can't be slipped out of, seems comfortable, double rings for two uses. Applause applause.
Hello! What would you recommend for a very hyper husky? My baby gets too excited when we go outside so I don’t really get a chance to walk him . I can’t handle him! He ends up dragging me instead of walking 😂
Our Female Husky pulls and escapes out of every harness we have purchased and my Wife is terrified that she will escape and take off and that we will lose her forever, need suggestions of a good harness for a petite 45lbs Female Husky female?
Hi! In this video is the *Canine Equipment Ultimate Pulling Harness*: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J59JDVY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1. A non-escapable harness I recommend is the *Voyager Web Master Design Harness*: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07K4V5ZN7/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_8?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&th=1 or the *Secure/Escape Proof one by Mihachi*: www.amazon.com/Mihachi-Large-Secure-Dog-Harness/dp/B077PT7NT4?ref_=bl_dp_s_web_16154767011&th=1. Both have an extra strap that will prevent escaping! :) The harness I use is *Alpine Outfitters Urban Trail Harness*: www.amazon.com/Alpine-Outfitters-Urban-Adjustable-Harness/dp/B07HS165YG/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=alpine&qid=1556240555&s=pet-supplies&sr=1-3 Hope that helps!
OMG I was just about to buy the TrueLove Harnesse and I was wondering if would be nice for my husky, so glad I found your video♡ Thank you for your tips :)
So, do you walk your dogs in a harness on a daily basis? Do they regularly wear the harness? I walk my huskies twice a day everyday but I use collar and leash. I am interested in a harness for our weekend adventures though. And interested in your input.
Yes, we only use the front range harness. The front range clip for urban areas and the back for running and remote hikes. We read a lot about using a collar and we’re not keen on it so we stopped. We only use a collar for ID when they are off leash at camp. Hope this helps!
AMAZING VIDEO!! Loved it!! How do you have such well behaved dogs?? I have 4 Huskies and they are made out of pure love, but if I took them out without a leash they would make a run for it and I would never see them again!! Lol If you guys could make a video about training sessions to teach our pups how to listen every time and be well behaved like yours I would appreciate it a lot
syderena thank you so much! 😍🤗 so happy you liked the video! You have a squad of 4 ♥️♥️♥️♥️ that’s so awesome! Send them all our howls and love 😍 Yes, we can definitely do a video about training. If you have specific training requests (because it such a broad subject) is love for you to send us a message through our website huskysquad.com with a bit more specific details so we can make a video that helps you ♥️
Husky Squad perfect!! I'll message you :) and I'll tag you in a picture of them on IG so you can see them lol They are goofballs and require a lot of work, but I wouldn't have it any other way 😍 Keep up the good work guys ❤
syderena awesome! 😍🤗 looking forward to get it! 🤣🤣 you sound like such a husky parent! Sending lots of love to your squad 🐾 can’t wait to see the picture!
Hand out good treats. I don't give my female 5 year old treats. I am training her to leash for the first time. She fought me alot, even tho' we had walked in the woods with her off leash. I had an incident with her breaking free of me, tore it out of my hands. Do not use a retractable leash on the street. So I made a figure 8 halti with two short leads, sewn to fit, comfortably not tight. Her slide lead goes thru' the ring on the chest harness on her back. Keeps the lead centered. The other one is a safety lanyard tied to her harness. We now have pleasant walks and I can stop her with 1/10 the effort due to reduced pull power. This is very important to me with back and knee problems. We now walk a whole bunch more, mostly loose leash at my side.
Thank you for the video, it came just at the moment I was looking for a perfect harness for my 10-year old dog. You helped me a lot, greatly appreciate your video!
Big question, how did u train ur dogs, they're incredible obedient and very quiet, and when you let them off leash and if they see a squirrell or a bunny do they try to catch it?
Which size do you bought for your huskies in the sgoda model. My husky is 6 months old. And i dont want to buy one which i need yo change soon when he growns up. Yhanks
You will likely need a different size when your husky is an adult. It’s unavoidable 😀 I would measure according the amazon size chart. At least these harnesses are not expensive 😀
I always pack my dogs stuff before my own so nothing is forgotten of my dogs LOL - thank you for the reviews! im glad i didnt get the Ruffware harness after seeing all that fraying by the top leash attachment
Hi there. Thank you this amazing video!! We just adopted a 6 year old husky named Pup that we adore but have noticed that she pulls on her collar to try and get out, especially if she doesn't want to walk anymore. Do you happen to have a suggestion for a good harness that is anti-pulling (Pup is super strong but we would love for our 11 year old daughter to help walk her) but also escape proof? I have done lots of searching but it seems that the harnesses are either for one or the other but not a combination. Thank you so much and have a lovely day :)
Hello, is the one you recommended a no pull harness? We are about to adopt a dog (quite large), and until we can train him to walk well on a leash, we are looking for something to help with pulling, etc. Thank you!
thanks for this vid! very informative and helpful! another question, as a fellow husky owner and hiking enthusiast... did you ever consider using paw protection for your doggos? i have had people suggest to me to get some booties for my husky when i take her hiking and running/blading on some local trails but have not really gave it much thought? any ideas or suggestions?
Question. In ordering from amazon there was some confusion as to size since there are two different truelove harnesses , one not having neck adjustment but looks more comfortable.
Zamir Tarmu hello ❤️ if you go through this link, it will lead to our amazon store. From there select the Husky Squad Outdoor section, there is only one. huskysquad.com/best-harness-for-dogs/
@@huskysquadI went and ordered this one. Hope it works out really well. I have an abused rescue yellow lab, pretty girl, but abused by locking up, is afraid of water (?) and goes berserk around men. Have no clue about her history. She was a runaway, and she ran to me. I care for 36 animals all total, she is the only dog. She takes her job seriously protecting the other animals. It's too dangerous for her to roam free and we don't have a fence at our current home. Until yesterday her paws had not touched earth in months. Her outside time is enclosed on the deck. She won't budge on a leash. For some reason, she let me walk her yesterday, oh happy day! She choked herself wanting to break free a few times, but I held her firm. This harness may well change both our lives! I can't wait to get it! She has gotten fat but that dog was born to run and back when she did, she was just beautiful!
Not sure if you still view these older posts, but I have a question if you do. I've been using the "Truelove" harness on our 85 lb Malamute for some time now without any issues. About 2 weeks ago she was startled by a log splitter and in less then 5 seconds was completely out of it and took off, both body snaps still fully engaged. The part around her chest is fairly snug, but to get over her head easily I haven't really tightened that section up. Do you think that could have been my problem? Again I keep it lose to fit over her head, do you tighten yours up any so it's a snug fit over their heads? Thanks.
Hello Vanessa :) Thank you for your video request! We will add it to our queue :) I think you will like our new video too: bit.ly/huskies-love-camping and check out our new website and let us know if find it helpful :) HuskySquad.com
Great info, but to get the information through text check out their description to download a quick harness guide! So much useful information and so user friendly it’s amazing!😍❤️❤️ thanks for taking the time to help other doggy’s like me!
Glad I caught your video. I've been interested in making a harness for my Shepherd to pull a small cart, for about $40.00 I can spare myself the agony of the design and construction and my dog the experimentation! Thanks! I'll visit your channel again sometime soon.
I would so appreciate if you might do a segment on car safety harnesses. I know the Sleepypod is highly rated but there have been complaints about the chest pad twisting & bunching on the 'Terrain' and the straps on the 'ClipIt' twisting. It makes me wonder if a good pulling harness would safely serve as a car restraint harness since they have to be very strong & sturdy.
So after watching this my takeaway is to buy none of them. Since you aren’t going to buy the first one again and that was your best one. I’m thinking about getting the urban trail harness from alpine outfitters that Gone to the Snow Dogs use.
Hi, I'm a new sub and we just adopted a Siberian Husky 2 days ago!! We are excited but won't be able to pick her up until beginning of the week after all of his vaccinations and chip put in. We absolutely love your guys videos! Can you please tell me what size harness you guys use? Maybe our dog is same size? His papers say that he was 46lbs when they picked him up. We'd like to order the harness that you guys liked the best (the lowest priced one). Thank in advance!
Welcome to our channel ❤️ and thank you sooo much for adopting! Be prepared to work with your husky, this amazing breed is not easy, but so incredibly worth the effort. Watch our videos to see how we navigate this wonderful life with huskies :) thank you soo much for your nice message! It means so much 😀 It’s best to measure the harness size according to amazon product description, but the Squad all wears a large. Be sure to download the guide too for more information on our website: huskysquad.com/best-harness-for-dogs/ keep us posted and we’re excited for you guys!
Hi. Love all your videos. I have a two year old husky malamute mix named Sawyer. When I walk him, he constantly wants to stop and sniff, check out pee mails etc. How do you get your squad to run without diverting and ignore the distractions? Thanks.
Look at Canadog harnesses for huskies. We bought the Canadog for our border collie to skijor but she pulled so hard walking that we needed the choke collar (don’t judge me). When we got our husky, I started using the Canadog for biking and it is amazing for everything husky. Heavy duty construction, adjustable, comfortable, ease of use for walking, biking, skiing. All round perfect. Better than anything shown here.
Please get a halti, not judging. Doesn't have to be tight. Go slow and let her get used to it. If she tries to scrape it off, just walk on. Your calm authoritative attitude helped alot.
Oh what a great question! Yes, I’ve been machine washing them on a gentle cycle, cool water, and with towels for years now. No problem at all! I do remove the name tags though.
@@huskysquad Thank you so much! Your awesome & informative vid convinced me & I've recommended them to friends, as well, who love them. I have a pittie w/ a high prey drive but the SGODA has held time & time again when Love tries to terrorize the squirrels. The no choke part is clutch, too, as her last one was horrible regarding that. I'm rambling...machine washable, one more reason to love this harness. Thanks for all you share & much love to you & the squad :)
Great review, I have a miniature labradoodle and a large dog mixed breed of German shepherd, poodle, husky and gawd knows what else in her , she was never leash trained with previous owner so I’m trying to teach her and already bought the True love harness which is great Wht a difference , so I’m glad you recommend it too 😃😀
love your reviews! so helpful! we just adopted our 1st husky from the shelter a few weeks ago. I've always been a pitbull person and still am but I think I'm definitely a husky person too! lol.. thank you for your reviews! Melissa
+Melissa Brown thank you so much for rescueing 🐾😍 we love all dogs too, we just became experienced with the husky breed and there are so many in shelters 😑 so happy you liked this video! We’re happy to do videos based on requests too! ♥️
Nice harnesses I use ruffwear but I didn't know they tear like that wow I have had my one for 1 year and it hasn't teared but thanks for letting us know about that in the video!
Labrador Paradise Vena & Goldie yes! It happened to all the ones we had from Ruffwear. If your pup doesn’t pull at all, it will take much longer to happen
Thank you! Please do you have a recommendation for an adjustable puppy harness which is adjustable enough to not have to buy many different sizes as he grows, but with both the front and back attachment points (and preferably the handle too)?
Would’ve liked to see more of each harness in use while you’re talking to keep it interesting and to understand what exactly you’re describing. But thank you for the video nonetheless, good to know that more expensive doesn’t necessarily mean it’s better
Thank you for posting this review..I have a hard time choosing anything now a days as there are so many and I can't tell if the reviews are honest or not. Your dogs are beautiful
We just bought a SGODA True Love harness for our Husky ..... His chest was 26 inches so we ordered the medium (22-27). It was 2 to three inches too small. I think the sizing chart on Amazon is not accurate. The chart on True Love's site is even farther off. Anyway we love the harness and will be exchanging it for a large ....
Thank you for a very informative video. I have used Ruffwear for years and I while I do love it, I do have the same issues you brought up- so now, I am looking to replace them. I was looking at the Urban Harness sold by Alpine but the Sbodga looks more functional- so I will give them a try!
Thank you. I bought a ruffwear harness for my husky. It just wasn't fitting correctly. I know why, I had put it on the wrong way. Didn't help that the way it was displayed on the cardboard it was back to front. Feel so stupid now!
Hi loved your video am trying to find a harness my Huskies can't get out of I have two Huskies and Abby is a runner and she's also very good Hunter sometimes my neighbors are not happy do you have any recommendations
Wait, I’m super confused. Did you review 3 harness or 2? You didn’t really talk about the 2 one at all or is the second one the 3rd one? Should I get the SGORD one or true love!!! I’m confused.
I have a 4 going on 5 month Huskimo. He is ...strangely shaped and I've been looking into getting him another harness as he grows out of the CoPatchy. I have been wary of duel ring harnesses as it seems the back rigs are always plastic or not well constructed.

Great review of honest usage. Thanks.
Thank you, the only way we do it :)
What kind of collars do you use?
Download the quick guide here, it Answers a lot of your questions: bit.ly/best-harness-review
AMAZING VIDEO!! Loved it!! How do you have such well behaved dogs?? I have 4 Huskies and they are made out of pure love, but if I took them out without a leash they would make a run for it and I would never see them again!! Lol
If you guys could make a video about training sessions to teach our pups how to listen every time and be well behaved like yours I would appreciate it a lot
syderena thank you so much! 😍🤗 so happy you liked the video! You have a squad of 4 ♥️♥️♥️♥️ that’s so awesome! Send them all our howls and love 😍
Yes, we can definitely do a video about training. If you have specific training requests (because it such a broad subject) is love for you to send us a message through our website huskysquad.com with a bit more specific details so we can make a video that helps you ♥️
Husky Squad perfect!! I'll message you :) and I'll tag you in a picture of them on IG so you can see them lol
They are goofballs and require a lot of work, but I wouldn't have it any other way 😍 Keep up the good work guys ❤
syderena awesome!
Awww i loved this video. New sub
What size did you order I still have a husky puppy but want to know if I can order one now and it will still be good for her when she comes full grown
What sizes do you have I got the last one you shoes in a large and it doesn’t look like it fits
What do you think about the Hurtta active harness? Can you try it and give a review ?
Kurgo air journey harness is also a very good harness. I’ve owned mine for a year and it’s still holding up to my 2 year old husky. The run for $50
Hello, is the one you recommended a no pull harness? We are about to adopt a dog (quite large), and until we can train him to walk well on a leash, we are looking for something to help with pulling, etc. Thank you!
What size did you get yours I got a female should I be fine with medium?
Hello! Your best bet is to go by the measurements on Amazon.com :)
Wich one is better Embark active harness or Ruffwear front range ?
What size do your dogs wear?
thanks for this vid! very informative and helpful! another question, as a fellow husky owner and hiking enthusiast... did you ever consider using paw protection for your doggos? i have had people suggest to me to get some booties for my husky when i take her hiking and running/blading on some local trails but have not really gave it much thought? any ideas or suggestions?
She has gotten fat but that dog was born to run and back when she did, she was just beautiful!
how do you get yer husky to pull if you want them to
Such a beautiful dogs
What size do your huskies wear for the SGODA harness?
Not sure if you still view these older posts, but I have a question if you do. I've been using the "Truelove" harness on our 85 lb Malamute for some time now without any issues. About 2 weeks ago she was startled by a log splitter and in less then 5 seconds was completely out of it and took off, both body snaps still fully engaged. The part around her chest is fairly snug, but to get over her head easily I haven't really tightened that section up. Do you think that could have been my problem? Again I keep it lose to fit over her head, do you tighten yours up any so it's a snug fit over their heads? Thanks.
please please please make a hiking essentials vid!!
The Life of Xeno so so happy you like the Quick Harness Guide! ♥️🐾 let us know what other helpful videos you want us to make 🤗 sending love!
Please u can tell me what size do u use for your huskies?thanks
You will have to measure the sizes. The measurements are on amazon. Huskies can vary in size, so I would measure! 😀
Thanks! Can someone recommend a good leash?
The SGODA is amazing, but can you machine wash them??
Great review, I have a miniature labradoodle and a large dog mixed breed of German shepherd, poodle, husky and gawd knows what else in her , she was never leash trained with previous owner so I’m trying to teach her and already bought the True love harness which is great Wht a difference , so I’m glad you recommend it too 😃😀
I like the blue one the truelove! Do they have different colors?
Labrador Paradise Vena & Goldie we do too! Go check out the link here to find color options bit.ly/best-harness-review ♥️😍
love your reviews! so helpful! we just adopted our 1st husky from the shelter a few weeks ago.
Very good information, thank you. But the ad in the middle of the video? I'm not find if that. Sorry.
Thank you so much for your response to my request ! !!! Love the Squad !!!! 🐺🐺🐺🐺
Kurt mcKelvey 😍 so happy you liked it and it’s our pleasure! ♥️🐾 sending howls and love. Keep the request coming!
Oh boy am I excited to be hiking with this harness on my dog!
Amazing video, i love it!!!❤️ just one question what kind of treats are you using?
jaudiel ibarra thank you ♥️😍 so happy you liked it. Here you can find the treats in this blog: bit.ly/huskysquad-grooming-routine
Are you talking about the x-back harness I have three for my three for sledding
What size of harness are your huskies... Thanks from Lima-Perú
I love that all 3 of your dogs are named after FFX Characters ❤❤❤
I have a 4 going on 5 month Huskimo. He is ...strangely shaped and I've been looking into getting him another harness as he grows out of the CoPatchy. I have been wary of duel ring harnesses as it seems the back rigs are always plastic or not well constructed.
