Sacred Flame it's my favorite out of the line.. then Danae, Fall of Phaeton, then Triumph of Bacchus, you went in hard on it bro, lol.. we know if it had some gopher butt smell, you'd love it... haha 😜😜
I love hearing ppl they dislike a fragrance. Its ok not a big fuckn deal. I have this scent and rarely reach for it but how you describe it is on point. Too me it isn't repulsive but it is an odd scent but i find it easier to wear in cooler weather. Good review.

Quick one, I heard this smells like Red Tobacco which is in the same vibe as Borouj Perlador and i know you like Pelador because it was an honourable mention in one of your videos. My question is on how it compares to Borouj Perlador?
@@abolajiakilo9356 I don’t think it’s the same. I really don’t like red tobacco or ToB but I wear Perlador quite a bit. Perlador is a lot smoother it’s more airy and fresh. Red tobacco is very thick in a way I find repulsive same with ToB they both remind me of cough syrup in how they trigger a gag response. I love Perlador tho. I haven’t tried a Borouj I haven’t liked Sillage and Lamasat Oud are also fantastic.

@@abolajiakilo9356 I want to get spiritus but I don’t need ANOTHER aventus clone lol. I’m sure it’s a really good one tho honestly Borouj quality is better than some niche even the bottle has more effort but the blending feels very natural and complex.
I actually enjoy it quite a bit. I will admit that when i first got a bottle it smelled almost rotten probably due to the rum and peach mixture. But as it matured and the juice got much darker the blend became a lot better and the spiciness really started to unveil itself. I agree it’s not for everyone but I’d give it a 9.5 once it matures
I have not found a single argos fragrance i like. I was building logos with my friend and watching a fragrance influencer hype up an argos fragrance and he thought I would probably like it because I was watching "a bald guy" recommend it and got it for me as a gift and I thought it smelled like a pungent syrup, but it was over 200 so I wanted to be polite and I will wear it sometimes but I told him to never spend that much on a blind buy again. You can sample an entire house for half the price of 1 blind buy and make sure you get exactly the one you want.
I got a couple of samples from Argos. Fall of Phaeton and Adonis Awakens. Really liked FoP, the woody notes with the underlying ambery sweetness is quite nice. Adonis was bad. Like really bad on my skin. I found it extremely cloying, and the rose immediately smelled off on my skin
Ya I was gonna mention I do like Fall of Phaeton in the video but forgot. I haven’t tried many but FoP is nice. I can’t do ToB I took it to work yesterday to make sure I wasn’t crazy and one coworker had the same reaction while two other people liked it a lot. I guess it’s a hit or miss but seeing how it made paper red when I sprayed it just made my impression of ToB more disturbing than what it was lol. FoP is really nice tho I wanna try Danae and Sacred Flame.
@@CgScents Danae is definitely on my radar! So was ToB, but I'm glad I watched this video. The influencer problem is quite real, and many times I find it difficult to sift through the BS and get to the facts about fragrances
I sprayed my sample of red tobacco and smelled it for the first time. I can see the connection, I feel ToB is a sweeter version where Red Tobacco is spicier but the connection is definitely a lot more prevalent than it is with Carlisle which I find less sweet than both. I don't like Red Tobacco but I find it not as repulsive as ToB which I just find to be overly sweet I'm really not a fan of either though. They both kind of have that cough syrup smell to me very medicinal and trigger the same gag reflex I'd get from cough syrup. Carlisle is great I don't get any cough syrup vibes from it.

My taste and opinions change I left a negative review on Another 13 and now it’s one of my favorites 😅. Being an honest fragrance reviewer is kinda interesting for that reason I won’t be surprised if a year or two from now I’m singing the ToB praise. I’ll prolly give it more chances especially when it gets cold it’s still almost 80 degrees in Texas lol.
@ I totally get it, I blind bought Dior Homme Parfum & immediately regretted buying it but over time, it grew on me (still not my favorite but I don’t hate it anymore). Keep being a honest reviewer, it gives us a different perspective on fragrances & I think I speak for most of us when I say, we really appreciate that!

It is understandable if people like Argos in general since smell is subjective so dont mind influencers hyping them up based on scent,but to hype them up based on quality is just absurd .They put it on Amouage level of quality.Now that is blasphemy.Amouage is king and even Pdm is light years better in quality than any Argos

Wow im surprised so many people don't like Baccus. I got a sample and loved it. It reminded me of PDM Carlisle (Tonka, Patchouli, Tobacco) with a sweeter, boozy side. I ended up getting a 30ml of Baccus because it's way cheaper than Carlisle lol
I think I’m a deviation from the norm most people like ToB but it seems a small percentage have a bad reaction to it. I’d prolly like it in the air in small doses on someone else but on me I suffocate it gets really sweet and syrupy very overwhelming and doesn’t let up.

Consider baccarat rouge 540 next. Curious about it it's such an interesting fragrence and im sure it will do good numbers.
